Been satisfied with this location for over 20 years. No more. It's changed ownership a couple times, now as Optum it is terrible. They treat me like a new patient at every visit, I cannot get anyone on the phone (except the call center, and they cannot get anyone from the office on the phone either). I have been trying to speak to someone because it seems like my labs from over a month ago were lost. I still do not have results. I called and had to leave a message for a callback. A female called while I was not home and left a voicemail. She spoke so fast I could not understand her. I called back this morning, told the call center I need to speak to the office because my results are missing, they put me on hold for an hour. I could not hold any longer, hung up, called back again and told them to have someone call me. It is now end of day and no one has called me. This is terrible medical care. I am good with my Dr (Hakimeh) but the office/business is an F-. Absolutely terrible. Get it together Optum! read more

If there's an option to rate this facility at a ZERO (0), I would rate this facility at 0. I have been with Optum (aka Healthcare Partners) for more than a decade, but very disappointed. I tried to give them some credits or be patience with them, but not with the kind of service. There were couple appointments they canceled on me without notifications. When I confronted them, they said they called and left me messages. I told them we're in the modern world where we have something called "caller Id" so I didn't see any numbers or messages. Another incident, Just today, I was 5 mins late for my appointment and they refused to see me. I asked them how many minutes consider late and they told me patient can me 10 mins late. I told them well I was only 5 mins late. They said the paperwork they printed out marked 10 mins. I told them the other 5 mins due to them asking me all sort of questions. Even with 10 mins, they should stil can see me since they said the allowed time is 10 mins late. This does not make sense at all. Additionally, they never have the doctor available for paients to visit, only nurse practioners. I paid my insurance for doctor visit, not nurse practioner. They should charge nurse practitioners rate and not doctor rate. My family and friends also have the same issues with this optum facility. They all gave up and found a much better provider. It's now my time to find another provider. VERY DISAPPOINTED AT THIS OPTUM. read more

My children and I have gone to our local Healthcare Partners/Optum on Rt 66 for over 25 yrs! Dr Barrett took care of all of us (we loved her). Now the last few years, including my most recent visit of last month was an experience I never want again. I've been struggling with multiple health issues, including a torn meniscus of my knee (waiting for surgery). I was seeing Dr Alix that day, and I think I've had about 5 or 6 different Dr and PA's over the years, and that's a bad sign! Dr Alix told me I lost my soul and should be happy I don't live in Ukraine!!! (I was crying) He said I need to go back to church and said some prayer for me. Dr Alix is now on leave. This place is a joke. I specifically made an appointment for 1030 and it they my appointment is for 10 and I got here at 10:11 and I wouldn't be seen and I don't know how many times I've been here on time and had to wait 20 or 30 minutes in the waiting room and then another 15 or 20 minutes in the doctors room before the doctor even comes in. I wrote,Dr. Alex through the app for Optum telling him I wanted to commit suicide basically and he replied call your insurance. You are just part of this company's bottom line they do not care about you. Oh and I almost forgot I had a phone appointment one day and they were running late but they sure did call me like four times to make sure that I would be available at the proper time and then the doctor was 45 minutes late. read more

Went to my doctor many times telling her I didn't feel right- something is wrong- pain in my back, weight loss, swollen glands, chills (she didn't feel that the area of pain located in my back was cancer related, but rather an injury of some sort)- I was sent to physical therapy and told I had to complete six months before she would refer me to something else- I told my doctor physical therapy wasn't helping- My doctor was busy so they sent me to another physician who prescribed me antibiotics (he never followed up with me) pills didn't help- I called again and was sent to a physician's assistant who referred me for outside treatment SIX MONTHS since my first visit for pain ( CT scan). My fault for not leaving the place sooner (I was naive to believe they knew what they were doing) turned out I had stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma which I am still battling- who knows if my cancer wouldn't have have been so progressed if they had actually listened to my concerns. No call from my doctor after my oncologist sent her the report. Can't turn back time, but I learned a valuable lesson about health care thanks (or no thanks) to this place. read more

I did not see my primary doctor. It was a last minute thing so they had me go see a nurse practitioner. I did not have to wait long to be called out of the waiting room and into an exam room and the np came within few minutes. I told her what my problem is an she took s look at it and had me going to s specialist right away and since just moved about 25 miles away she had me going to a dermatologist closer to my new residence. read more

They are super nice here. So, I'd like to say that first and foremost. Every time I come here, and get an appointment, I am happy. But that's the trick, getting an actual appointment. They NEVER have openings. I've never met with my actual doctor, but I do have a nurse practitioner whom I like, so that works. I moved to Glendora in 2009 and chose Healthcare Partners for my family's healthcare. There, I found wonderful pediatricians for my kids, and my wife and I discovered an incredible doctor that honestly cared about our health. We were happy with our care. We were able to see our doctors when we needed them, had no issues with referrals, and had excellent follow-ups from our medical team for issues large and small. Eleven years ago, my wife suffered a sudden, major life-changing health emergency. I was traveling abroad for business and learned of her event only when I arrived in Asia. I frantically returned to the US the same day. The exact cause of my wife's condition was an absolute mystery she was in an ICU for weeks, and we had no answers as to what happened to her, why, and if it would happen again. My wife's doctor at Healthcare Partners and her neurologist at Huntington Memorial fought tooth and nail to get her the specialist at UCLA that was finally able to provide the diagnosis she needed to get the right treatment. She is recovered and we owe her life to those doctors and nurses. Optum needs to understand one crucially important factor: I am not loyal to a corporation. I am not loyal to a hospital. To these faceless and heartless entities, my wife, my children, and I are little more than statistics dragged into boardrooms to help impress investors. No. I am loyal to the doctors, nurses, and staff my family and I rely on for our health and well-being. Healthcare Partners didn't fight for my wife, her doctors did. They made it clear with whom they were arguing as well. Once our doctor retired, my wife and I had great difficulty keeping a doctor for more than a year as they all seemed to leave suddenly. Then my daughter's pediatrician left, then my son's. My wife and I received letter after letter informing us a doctor we hadn't even seen yet was no longer with the group for one reason or another. Optum seemed to be having difficulty retaining its doctors and this was impacting our health negatively because each successive doctor knew nothing about us--it was like starting over each time and no one we ever saw seemed vested in our health concerns like the doctors at this location previously did. No one in my family has any relationship with any doctor now because of this constant churn. Then things got really bad. In the last few years, I have had every single one of my PCP's first meetings canceled by the provider. In each case, I had made the appointment 3 months in advance, and I received notice either the day of or a day before my scheduled appointment that the doctor wasn't able to see me or my family member. Sometimes it was because the doctor called in sick--which I understand and others, because the doctor was no longer at this location or with Optum. Each cancellation resulted in another 3-month wait to see that doctor or a substitute. When anyone in our family gets sick, we cannot see our doctor. They tell us to go to urgent care regardless of the symptoms or COVID negative tests. My son had RADs as a child and intermittent asthma that put him in the hospital once. Because he was wheezing, they wouldn't make an appointment--back to urgent care and the revolving door of whatever nurse practitioner or doctor is available at the moment. No doctor at Optum ever followed up or maintained any awareness, connection, or knowledge of our health issues that we rushed to urgent care for. Two years ago, I began having serious digestive issues that quite concerned me. I called to make an appointment and was only granted a phone conversation with a nurse who urged me to immediately go to a hospital ER. I was hesitant to go due to concerns I had over the costs, COVID, and plain uncertainty due to the intermittent and unpredictable nature of the issue. I made multiple appointments to see my doctor and to request a specialist. So far, nothing. I am suffering alone without the benefit of a doctor's guidance because Optum's scheduling and referral process is so broken, I can't even see a doctor. Now, my wife's ophthalmology appointment was canceled due to major confusion regarding whether the ophthalmologist is in-network or not. With no resolution as we may need a new referral now. No one seems concerned that we waited almost six months for this too. I can't take this horrendous treatment and abusive indifference anymore. Optum Glendora is a carnival of incompetent mismanagement and apathy. I feel for the good doctors and nurses that are hamstrung by inept, unfeeling corporate ogres, bent on squeezing every cent of profit from the very blood of my family at the expense of our health and sanity. I hope they lose every patient to their competition and the building gets condemned. They are an awful institution. read more

My family has been part Optum, formerly Healthcare Partners, for over a decade. We've used Optum as our primary including pediatrics as well as the Urgent Care when necessary. In my opinion, the care is unparalleled and always a health care organization that our family relies on. Appointments are easy to come by and locations in the eastern SGV are plentiful. Their staff and physicians all exemplify excellent bedside manner; they're attentive and highly competent. I recently contracted breakthrough Covid that has been difficult for over 3 weeks, Dr. Michelle Zaki has been immensely helpful in helping me manage my symptoms and care. Absolutely the worst service EVER. I have been with this group when it was Healthcare Partners (service was far better) since probably the early 1990's. Have been with the same pediatrician for decades with all my children. There is no follow up even as it relates to my own care. My son is struggling with depression and as a pediatrician one would think the doctor would be concerned with his mental health issues. Said doctor is refusing to actually pick the phone up and speak to me and instead has staff calling me, and is refusing to partially refill a prescription until we can get him to the specialist. I will hold this medical facility responsible IF anything happens to my son. This is absolutely ridiculous, unprofessional and unnecessary!!!!! I honestly did not want to give a 1 star. read more

On 6/10 I had been experiencing high anxiety, so I called my Optum doctor and he prescribed some anxiety medication. For the next  few days I felt better, but then a few days after that i started having major anxiety again with a RAPID PULSE RATE.  My normal pulse rate is 68, but now it was 106!!! (see photos) On the morning of 6/22 I called the Optum office to make an appointment.  I was instructed to go the Glendora office at 2:00pm 6/22 to see Jason Wagner, PA (Physician' Assistant).  I got there on-time, but was having difficulty breathing.  I was given a mask at the door and put it on loosely over my nose so I could breathe. I got to the receptionist and the first thing she said to me was 'put your mask on over your nose'. She said this to me as she herself had her mask falling off her nose.  I told her she needs to pull up her own mask.  She did not seem to appreciate her own hypocrisy as I took photos of her fumbling with her mask.  What they wanted was for me to have the mask tight across the bridge of my nose.  The problem was that having the mask that tight was interfering with my breathing, and I told the receptionist I was not comfortable doing that.  She called her manager since she was not capable of empathizing with their patient's medical conditions. Shortly thereafter was escorted to the exam room and left alone, so I took off my mask to get some breathing relief.  The girl that does the blood pressure came in with the same nasty attitude as the first girl and demanded that I put on my mask.  I put my mask on again loosely over my nose (in the same manner as the receptionist) so I could breathe. She refused to take my blood pressure and left the room.  I do admit that I  was getting irritated by this time.  Now the PA Jason Wagner came in and angrily demanded that I put a mask on tight across the bridge of my nose. I told him i could not BREATHE with it on like that.  Jason refused see me as a patient unless I complied with his demands for how to wear a mask, and brusquely left the exam room. I was now alone and desperate, and called 911 trying to get some emergency help for my difficulty breathing since no one at the Optum office would help me.  I ended up leaving under my own power without any treatment, but could just as easily left on a stretcher. Isn't it funny how the receptionist and other office workers can wear their masks the same way as I was, but strict compliance is only an issue for patients? There should be no mask mandates for patients which have already had Covid19 vaccinations, and I had the proof in my purse.  I have been going to Healthcare Partners/Opium for approximately 25+ YEARS with no difficulties until that day.  After the poor treatment I suffered there on 6/22, I checked the Optum Yelp ratings.  I am not surprised that of 17 of 33 reviews on Yelp are ONE STAR, and 3 are TWO STAR.  That is not very good. The doctors office is divided into two reception areas.  The area I normally visit (Dr. Ihsan Hakimeh and staff) are very nice and I have never complained or had a problem with them. That is NOT the case for the other area's staff, which I had the misfortune to interact with on this visit.  It amazes me the difference in professionalism between the two areas. Optum management needs to take a serious look at their staff hiring policies and training procedures if they intend to improve customer satisfaction ratings. My observation is that the fundamental cause for this entire episode is the unreasonable mask policies which are still being implemented at Optum even though the CDC and State of California have lifted mask mandates for vaccinated people.  I want to make it clear that I am not just a mask troublemaker.  I have been to Optum this year on my Doctor's side at least 3 times and have worn my mask as requested WHEN I DO NOT HAVE A BREATHING PROBLEM. I've been with this provider since 2005 when they were Healthcare Partners. We had some fine doctors here over the years but over the past 3 years, it's gotten really bad. You can no longer see your Doctor unless you make an appointment 3 or more months into the future. They only give you nurse practitioners or you may get lucky and get a phone or zoom meeting with a doctor who isn't your PCP. They usually just tell you to go to urgent care, which is not very good. You can't even get into the building anymore. After 18 years, I've had enough and will look for a new doctor in 2024. This place gives terrible service and should be avoided like the plague. read more

Before the pandemic we started going here to see the pediatrician for our children. The staff was reasonable and the Dr. was fantastic! He was capable and warm, and really would read ahead for each visit and ask about things we discussed the year prior. Now, the office staff has appeared to go downhill or at least get so mired in policy and rules that we cannot receive reasonable care. When my daughter was sick - they won't see sick kids and their whole plan is 'go to urgent care.' Okay, then why have a pediatrician if urgent care is 'good enough'? Oh and we asked for the dr to follow Up and it took a week to get a call back. At that point out kid was well and back at school. Now even for a well kid visits, you have to be symptom free. It's the winter cold season - when will I ever have both of my kids healthy and cough free? Coughs have to be two weeks in the past. How do I schedule an appointment?? I understand and appreciate Covid precautions, but come on! Do a reasonable screening - not a draconian list of 10 things and then ask us to reschedule. Also, if you are going to be so rigid, call or text for a pre screening. My dentist figured this out 2 years ago! I guess it's time to find a new provider. read more

I'm dying now! Urgent care after 6 P.M....geeeez! Thank goodness the lady told me to get their early. Couple people sitting on the ground waiting for this place to open No signs, nothing to tell you where to wait. Completely clueless if this is the proper door. Then exactly at 6:00, a nice security guard opens the door Everyone charges in, no one knows who's first No signs to tell you where to go The security guard just points. Finally a sign, The staff is friendly and very helpful I had a relentless cough and hid in the corner I didn't want people to catch whatever I had The doc comes in and she asks for xrays I sit in this cold room and tell her I have a cough She says, "your not coughing now." I explain, "It's during the whole night I cough." "I also cough at work, and coughed outside." Listen, "cough cough cough cough cough cough." Is that enough coughing? Geeeez. So I get a bottle of codeine cough medicine for sleeping It does make ya sleepy. Then I got a inhaler for cough. That's it! That's it? Off I go into the wilderness. What happened to those packets they use to give us? Two pills first day, then one pill each day for two days? That use to cure you. Optum services are going down hill. I've been a patient for a long time of Dr Hamad who is a great doctor for over 25 yrs .Unfortunately Dr Hamad retired & Optum took over her group with new staffs except for Annie who Optum kept. One example of how very dissatisfied I am with this medical group is that they are very inconsiderate , I was 10 min late for my appt due to unexpected traffic delay & I was rushing to get in the office to check in . I told them I was in a heavy traffic it took me over 45 min to get w/c normally it takes me 25-30 min to be there. They refused to take me in with the reason I was 10 min late & they only have 1 Dr or PA working that day . I only saw 1 patient @ that time in the waiting area & was hoping they can still get me in but Annie said they can't take me in because they have a new algorithm to follow!!!I It's very disappointing how they can't bend their rule due to my circumstances . They told me to just go to Urgent Care!! They shd have notified me ahead of time of their new policy before giving me my appt. because I wasted my time going there. to start, i LOVE the provider, Carolyn? i think was her name? i saw her recently and she seemed to genuinely care, and listened and got me referrals and meds and educated me and overall great experience however, i have also had terrible experiences here. for instance, Dr.Hakimeh once said "so what?" after i told him i was in so much pain i couldn't walk independently. i explained that im 20 years old and was struggling to shower, go to work or class or anything else independently and all he did was write me a note. even if what i was going through wasn't that bad when is it ever acceptable to say "so what?" to a patient?? i've also had some issues with billing, they've charged me three times for the same clinic visit, and sent a bill for over $200 for a vaccine i was told would be covered by my insurance. my credit has now taken a hit because i couldn't pay that immediately and if i had know it would be $200 i wouldn't have gotten it. TLDR: i've had some of the best and some of the worst doctors visits here. i don't think the problem is with the whole office just certain people but be warned it's pretty hit or miss read more

When Dr Shoga left this location, I figured that this was a good time to leave HCP. If you are on medicare, as I am, you will probably get referred to an HMO that is part of HCP, now matter what new doctor you choose. But, at least I don't have to go out to Glendora any more. The only read bad experience I had was with Julia. She either played dumb, as in robot, or was just plain dumb. Anyway, my new doctor doesn't have the endless choices that one has to listen to at HCP, when calling on the phone. OK, you want to give me a flu shot -- I got it! I've called twice over the last two weeks to a separate phone number that keeps my medical records at HCP. My new doctor also requested they be sent to him, - - but still no response. I go to the VA, also. Some of their doctors and responsiveness is equal or better than HCP. Good riddance. read more

I am commenting about their office policy. Please keep this in mind: they are NOT seeing sick baby, and they don't have an appropriate solution for sick baby. You might think this is wonderful, as the office is going to be nice and clean, and no risk will be posed on your little angel, especially during the COVID period. Yes, you are right, until your little one is sick. Their solution to a sick baby is Urgent Care. So, you will have to take your sick little angel and wait in line with all the other sick strangers where 50% of them are possibly flu and 30% of them are possibly COVID. That's your only option. Because your pediatrician is not taking sick baby. And trust me, all babies sick. When that moment comes, its all about desperation. This is based on my real experience, with my 18 months old son, who is a patient with Doc Kim-Park since newborn. Initially I thought everything was so great, just like the other reviewers said, until we got sick. Every time I called the doctor's office, I had to leave a message with a nurse, and kept waiting for 4-5 hours until I hear back from the doctor, suggesting us drink more water and visit UC. Of course, if the doctor is not seeing the patient what else can he/she say. Now my son is 18 months old, has experienced sickness for 3-4 times (all because of daycare, you know). Some were more severe (once we even took an X-ray through the chest because he was too sick and short of breath), and the others were normal. ALL the treatments were done by random UC doctors. Thank you all for saving my baby's life. No help we're received from our pediatrician. And talking to the doctor through the phone cost money. Once confirmed you are okay with the telematic treatment, the call will get charged, dollar amount depends on your copay. You can describe the situation as much as you want, just like what I did, and they will tell you (1) drink more water, (2) take Tylenol if fever, (3) go to UC if things get worse. I joined Optum Glendora Primary Care in January 2023 and I have been pleased with their customer service so far. I really like my primary care doctor, Dr. Ha Tran but I especially want to acknowledge Patricia Ruiz, the Patient Liaison at the Optum-Glendora for her compassionate and professionalism towards new patients. When I first walked in she greeted me, sat with me and explained how their facility works. In addition, she is very responsive whenever you have questions and you contact her directly. If she can't take your call, she will make sure she calls you back the next day. If she's not able to help she will direct you to someone who can help. They have been my PCP for few years. However I am not happy with them now. I was sick with cough and cold. I called the office for appointment. They would not see me. They did video call and prescribed antibiotics. I was still sick. It was not Covid. I called again and they wouldn't see me and asked me to go to Urgent care. They said some ca code doesn't allow them to see me I got sick again after 2 months. Same scenario again they wouldn't see me in person even though I was Covid negative. Once again they said to go to urgent care because of some ca health department code they can't see me in person. I went to their urgent care. Doctor said I don't need anything and I will be fine. But I was still coughing. So I went to another doctor. She prescribed antibiotics and I am okay I called Optum 3 times to give me the code that doesn't allow them to see me. They wouldn't call back and finally after 3 weeks they said that it was their office protocol. Not some CA code. They lied Now it's been 3 weeks since I have requested my medical records be transferred to my new doctor. No response. Very very poor service. The doctor is okay. But if I can't see her what is the purpose to have them as my PCP. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone So I called and read more

After today, I am currently looking for another office to transfer my father to them prior to us. We had two other doctors in the last seven years almost with nothing but the best experience from both unfortunately one retire and the other move to another office so we got literally stuck with Dr. Alix. OK I love the doctor here, but the receptionist upset me the other day. I have been going to this office awhile now with all of my children. I took my child in, who was suffering from ear pain. As I checked in, she informed me I had a balance on our account. It was sent to collection, apparently. She said this quite loudly and repeatedly said IT IS FROM APRIL!!!! After much back and forth, I realized she was talking about a bill for a service my other child had at another location,which was a large, unexpected amount that I am paying off monthly. I did not need this lady loudly proclaiming that I don't pay my bills. Then she started in explaining my benefits to me. Look, I know what my benefits are. I have a co-pay, and I always pay that, if anything is left, they bill me and Yes I pay. If I could give zero stars, I would. I have never been to a more incompetent and heartless office in all my life. They evidently don't know how to handle referrals when you have an HMO plan. I was told that because their system has it listed as an PPO, there is absolutely nothing they can do to change it. They refused to contact my insurance. I escalated this to several supervisors and they all told me the same thing. The supervisor didn't even have the decency to provide me the phone number for their eligibility department for my insurance to call. They have extremely long hold times. Do not bother. Lazy staff and lazy doctors! On 10-7-21 I made an appointment for a 1st time visit. 10 minutes later, a lazy doctor (who had never seen or spoken with me) had staff call me to tell me to go to the emergency room, even though there was no emergency. I called back and got a lazy staff member made me an appointment with a different doctor for the following day. I confirmed the appointment time and had her spell the name of the physician I would see. I arrive on time for my appointment today, said the doctor's name at the front desk, was taken back to a room. It turns out the person who made my appointment never logged it in the doctor's schedule, so I had no appointment and could not be seen.... Terrible service. Couldn't see me because my tonsils are swollen. Then proceeded to ignore all the symptoms i told them and told me i need to go to urgent care to get tested for covid. Since they took over Healthcare Partners, I have had multiple calls or letters trying to get me to take screening tests I don't need, but my insurance will pay for. I have tests I do need that I would take before the ones they say my doctor wants me to take. My doctor did not order these screening tests. The calls and letters are from central downtown facility. The places they want me to go are not where my doctor would send me. I feel harassed by this corporation and am disappointed that my excellent doctor and his staff are now stuck working for this predatory corporation. read more

This review is not on the the entire facility, all other visits were 5 star....this experience is specifically with KYLE CHANG and it was terrible. I had 3 concerns....one, was i needed my birth control subscription renewal and told him the one and only type I used....and he kept saying "that's not what I show in the system" I could care less what your system shows, I told you what I take, and even showed you my pack that I had on me.....FINALLY, after 5 minutes of back and forth with that, he goes "Okay, I'll put in the order for that one, hopefully they get the right one" .....who says that? WHY say that?....NEXT, I've had a side pain for a few. years now that comes and goes....I was giving him details on the type of pinching pain it was and how the pain will range randomly. You know how when you're talking to someone, and they nod or verbally agree woth you or show any sign that they are keeping up and listening to you, yeah, he didn't do that...... the entire time, was looking at me with this squinting frown, as if im not making sense or if what I'm saying sounds stupid.....So he moved my legs around in different directions and after doing so, he replies to me that there is nothing wrong.....that its PROBABLY a muscle or tissue that was stretched wrong or torn....and I said......FOR YEARS?!?! To which he replies, in a very condescending way,"maybe!" I of course do not agree and further explain how i had gone to the Optum emergency room earlier this year becuase the pain had been so bad for about a month straight, they did the ultrasound, ct scan, blood work.....and nothing. they had recommended at that point a MRI, which i never went to..and CONTINUES to say "idk what an MRI is going to do for you if you've already had a CT scan, we would have seen it if there is there was something there" and I said back "there is OBVIOUSLY something wrong with me, this is not normal and the pain ranges! as if something is being pinched and it throbs and renders me immobile at times" and he replies "what would you think about doing anyways? surgery?" and I was so done.....I said "YES, IF I HAVE TO! There is something abnormal, I'm not the doctor here, YOU are supposed to be and you're being dismissive and saying there is nothing wrong with me. I want the MRI because thats what the previous doctor recommended. " and he sighs and goes to the computer and says "....you have a PPO plan....that SHOULD cover it hopefully. you'll have to find out, but OKAY...I'll order the MRI" and WALKS OUT......rude, unprofessional, condescending, uncaring, unhelpful, and worst of all, make a patient feel "stupid" when expressing their concerns. Moments later, the nurse comes back in and goes over the wrap up speech and I told her....I had a 3rd concern and she goes "he never came back for that?" and I said "NOPE, he never even brought it up." so she was going to go get him, but I told her no, I'd rather not see him again, and expressed to her how rude he was and how my experience went and how upset I was. She was apologetic and caring and offered to reschedule me to see someone else. Again, the entire staff was and is always a delight, but this particular visit, I hope to never have again. I hope this helps your facility push out people who cause experiences like this....I drove home angry crying, feeling exposed for openly talking about my issues which I have problems with in general, just to be shot down by a man who made me feel stupid and judged and told me there's nothing wrong when clearly there is something causing a pain. read more

Called and went thru their maze of their answering machine to get the right person; and when I finally get through I hear someone typing but no answer. I response with a simple "hello" and then they hang up. Definitely do not recommend. read more

I've been waiting on hold 45 minutes and counting just to leave a voice message for my doctor. I never had this problem before Optum took over Health Care Partners. Very annoying. Why not just allow an option to leave a voice message rather than forcing me into their patient portal that I don't want to use? read more

This place has gone downhill. I can't even get anyone on the phone to make an appointment. Ridiculously excessive hold times. This was not an issue when it was Healthcare Partners. I don't have time to sit on the phone all day waiting for someone to answer. read more

In sorry, this is not a short review. This Review is specifically for the HMO physicians office and not the Urgent Care. I've been coming here for over 5 years and for the most part have had great medical care. Except recently, I seriously injured my lower back with disc problems and the medical "care" received here was minimal with layers of referral issues.m and unprofessional doctors. Immediately after my injury in extreme pain I saw my primary, Dr Farag, he was okay and gave me a shot and steroid medipak. This did not really help. I then asked for referrals for a MRI and neurologist, (read Dr Janjua review), Orthopedic Surgeon (Read Dr. Ben Pradhan review) and Pain Management. Referrals and were pretty quick. Good up until this point. While waiting to see the Neurologist, Dr. Janjua ( which took over a month to gets N appt.), I began PT, South Pacific Rehab, West Covina. After 1 month not getting better, I went out of network and paid out of pocket for better PT and saw an Ortho in conjunction with the PT. Finally after a month waiting to see Dr. Janjua. She says "Why are you here? You need to see our Ortho, I'm sending you back to your primary. I about lost it!!. The appt. went downhill from there. At one point she said " this appt is officially cancelled now" and my husband threatened to report her. She changed her tune. She then wanted to do a nerve test on me and I declined.She did give me all of my referrals that I requested. STILL IN PAIN. Left the appt.now waiting to see there Ortho. PAIN MANAGEMENT: contracted with Synovations. Now we're entering into 2. 1/2 moths later in chronic pain and still no epidural they refer me here. Bad reviews so I do my research and ask them for another HCP referral in another HCP region for pain management. HCP denies my authorization. Now went to the HCP Ortho Surgeon, Ben Pradhan MD and no help at all, Referred back to primary. STILL in PAIN. Finally had to go out of network at my own expense to see a pain management Dr and had an epidural done that day in his office. I have removed myself as a patient from HCP and am now in another network. I will say Teresa the HCP Patient Support Rep. Has been wonderful. . My dog had better medical care. read more

For an urgent care facility not bad... BUT they don't open till 6?? I had to wait since my doctor was too busy to see me. Being that sick and having to go back and forth not good. The wait wasn't too bad 45 min which seems standard for urgent care. There was already a line when I got there 10 till 6. The place is really clean as well. The staff is polite. I was getting jealous that everyone else's co-pay was cheaper than mine... I think it made it easier too I knew what I needed a z-pac. The doctor didn't give me the good cough syrup though but I did get an inhaler. He was really polite and I didn't feel rushed when I was examining me. Most important is now I know what time it opens. read more

I had been to a previous urging care earlier in the day and waited nearly 4 hours. When I walk into this urgent care, there was only one other person front of me. They had a family-friendly movie playing on the television on one side and on their "flu side", was another family-friendly movie. This place is designed for real urgent care needs of individuals and families (as opposed to workman's comp issues). I was in the room within 15 minutes of arrival and saw a doctor about two minutes after that. The doctor was great: asked a lot of pertinent questions and really listen to what my problems were. This will be my first choice going forward if I ever have another issue that requires urgent care. Please give them all of your business because the urgent care in Irwindale completely sucks ass. My wife has been here multiple times with our three kids and gets great service every time, as well. In about a week, they are opening a more full-time urgent care center whereas the urgent care now only open from 6 PM to 10 PM during the week. These new hours will be a godsend to everyone in the area. read more

I was never billed for service but instead was sent to a rather rude collections agency. The amount was relatively small and I did not deserve the treatment I received when trying to pay my balance. My healthcare service in their urgent care center was not a good experience either but that is an entirely different matter. All I will say is that when I arrived and showed them the injury (cut on my writing hand) they handed me a clip board and told me to fill it out. I said I couldn't and their response was that I had to to get service. So I did my best and when I handed it back to them they had the nerve to look at me in disgust because there was blood on the paper. All in all I say avoid this place like a plague. They are rude and do not know how to conduct business. I will never go back there again. There are many other, better medical centers in the area. read more
