Not only do they hang up the phone on you, but also NEVER answer the phone during regular business hours. Terrible service

He followed Dr Vakil from his past practice at an oncology center to his current clinic. Many of his patients are my grandpa's age. We still have a few yearly appointments just to check up on things. Because of dr Vakil, my granddad has fought cancer and won his livelihood back. I don't know what else to say besides the fact that I have no words to thank Dr. If tomorrow, my granddad's cancer returned and he didn't want to receive any more treatment for it, unlike most docs, I know dr. Vakil would never ever pressure him to do anything against his will. It's funny because so many of his patients are older who don't use things like yelp.... they are used to doctors back in the day who treated them like human beings. These days, so much medical care is about how much and how quickly doctors can squeeze money out of their patients. Dr Vakil spends at least 30 minutes simply catching up with my granddad and asking him about his life, how he's doing, etc. which to be honest, these days I never ever see doctors give their patients the time of day. His care is only a testament to his 30+ years of experience and more importantly, his integrity and genuine care for his patients.

Originally my doctor was Dr. Manolo, who was a very timid and quiet doctor but took her time with you. I recently switched over to Virginia Barrett, who is usually very very booked and busy (which is not a bad thing!). Overall the customer service within the Healthcare Partners Medical group is superb. You can get in touch with them after hours, you have access to all your records online, you have access to Urgent Care and generally speaking you can always get in touch with SOMEONE, regardless of the day and time. The nurses are top notch. All very gentle and kind. They take their time with you, which I appreciate. Dr. Barrett, though I have only seen her once, does take her time to give you a call back and answer your questions in an honest way. I really appreciate her bedside manners and honesty. I haven't had a bad experience with them, even when they erroneously billed me for a procedure I had done - it was fixed and I was never billed again. I recommend this group for people with the Aetna insurance (through employer).

They treat me like a new patient at every visit, I cannot get anyone on the phone (except the call center, and they cannot get anyone from the office on the phone either). I have been trying to speak to someone because it seems like my labs from over a month ago were lost. I still do not have results. I called and had to leave a message for a callback. A female called while I was not home and left a voicemail. She spoke so fast I could not understand her. I called back this morning, told the call center I need to speak to the office because my results are missing, they put me on hold for an hour. I could not hold any longer, hung up, called back again and told them to have someone call me. It is now end of day and no one has called me. This is terrible medical care. I am good with my Dr (Hakimeh) but the office/business is an F-. Absolutely terrible. Get it together Optum!

Too busy taking her extended maternity leave during the pandemic to even have a functional office, she's never there and doors were locked up. I'm sure so many people did as I did and found somewhere else to go during this time. Next time I came by they're not even there anymore. Don't know if they moved or shut down. The way they let that one MA handle absolutely everything, no wonder she got things fouled up from time to time. I'm astonished that she was able to do as much as she did get right, but they were always understaffed, especially after moving into their new location and keeping the doors locked and not answering phones, even not just for patients but for patient advocates. Couldn't have been worse. One of my last visits I asked what happened to the other girl that used to help you in the old building and was told that she was " no longer with them. Then I saw her walking down the hallway. But then when I asked for clarification, she's working on a "special project ", and can't answer phones. I can't express how little the daughter gave a rat's a$$ about anyone but herself and her own kids. Save your money and time if they're even still in business at another location, look for somewhere else because you deserve better.

Mistakes were made because she was juggling too much for one person. Very frustrating experience for the patients. One time they referred me out to a place that doesn't take my insurance for an X-ray or something, and then denied that could have possibly happened. Then it went from bad to worse when they moved to the new location on Grand and the pandemic started. The office was completely nonfunctional during that time, keeping doors locked and not answering phones. It was being run by her daughter at that time Dr. Swapna Phadnis, and ran her mother's practice into the ground, IMO. She was seemingly never there even after her maternity leave. She seemed to take the whole pandemic as extended maternity leave. She had no idea what surgery I was trying to get her to clear me for up to the day before and then she wouldn't do it. I had to reschedule my surgery from that Thursday to the following Monday. The advocate my insurance assigned to me couldn't get through to them on the phone either and encouraged me to change primary care. One of my last visits there I asked about the second person helping that they used to have when they were on Rt. 66, and I was told she was "no longer with them". Then I saw her walking down the hall. Gaslighting. When I asked for clarification, I was told well she's here working on a "special project", unavailable to answer phones or help with patients. Then when they told me they would not be taking my insurance anymore I was actually happy to be pushed to look for something better for myself. I did find another woman doctor that I like but that office is also understaffed and frustrating mistakes happen. Not to the level of Dr. V's office was running. I drove by after visiting the nearby urgent care and noticed that they're no longer there on Grand. Hopefully they went out of business but I have a feeling that they just moved back to the old location after that building was remodeled on Rt. 66. I wouldn't go back to Dr. Phadnis or that experience ever again.
