What stands out the most is that even when they're busy and the place is packed, the food is consistently made right, served fresh, and never feels rushed. Something that's becoming harder and harder to find these days is cleanliness, and Maybe Baby excels at it. The restaurant is always clean, and the bathrooms are, too. That attention to detail says a lot about the pride the owner takes in the business, and it's clear that pride carries over to the staff. Troy is usually behind the grill, and you can tell he cares about the quality of the food. Old 50's style burger joint with some upgrades in what looks like an old house from the outside. Staff was really friendly and very talkative. The mat when you first walk in did slide a little. But the place looked really clean and very 50's themed. We got fried mushrooms, chili cheese fries, bacon cheese burgers. It was all pretty good. No complaints about the food. My wife said it was a really good chili on the fries. Some places don't have a good chili and this place does. I got a chocolate shake with malt. It was a good malt flavor in the shake. We were "On the Road Again" and happened to see the sign for this 50's themed restaurant so I pulled my Edsel into the parking lot. "Sonny & Cher" took our orders at the counter while "Ritchie Valens" was singing "La Bamba" as he tended to the the grilling. My "Pretty Woman" ordered a 1/4 pound hamburger with American cheese while I, "The Big Bopper", decided to do it "My Way" by ordering a 1/2 pound blue cheeseburger. Each included fresh lettuce, slices of both tomato and red onion, and an abundance of potato chips because they and "You Know What I Like". "Good Golly Miss Molly" if these weren't the best burgers we've eaten in a long time. I understand there is a "Whole Lot of Shakin' Going On" at this restaurant, but we settled on diet Cokes with hers included and mine extra, now "Ain't That A Shame"? The food was great; hot and fresh! I had a Nathan's Foot long hot dog with onion rings and my husband ordered the burger with fried egg and bacon! He could only eat 1/3 of that burger - enormous! The service was awesome. I think the counter waitress was super nice and I am guessing the owner is the cook, was also very nice! You can expect generous portions here and served with a smile. This is a cute little diner. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's adorable 50s style interior gives off fun vibes. I've been here several times and the food has always been great and large portions. The hostess that greets you at the ordering counter is so cheerful and incredibly welcoming. So this place was on our way to letchworth and with its great reviews we figured why not. You order at the counter and then wait for them to call your name. They were leaving every other booth empty for Covid and all workers had masks and gloves. I got a turkey burger which was ok. My kids got burgers which looked good. The patty looks like it had been frozen vs fresh but their presentation was good. Kids both said 3 out of 5. Where they shine is the fries. So yum! I'm not able to finish a full 1/2 pound burger so I went with a 1/4 pounder with lettuce, tomato, onions and cheese. I think this is a great value as the price includes chips, a pickle and a drink. I know it's on the kids menu but it's got all the flavor of an adult burger ;) The burger was nice and juicy on a great toasted bun with fresh veggies and a generous amount of cheese. Last time I went with three stars as the bbq sauce on the one burger we got before just masked the burger underneath. With this burger selection I'm upping it to four stars. Located on Rt 54 between Hammondsport & Bath, Maybe Baby Burgers is a 1950s-themed restaurant. You walk in, order, take a seat among the 1950s memorabilia lining the walls. They'll announce when your order is ready, just eat & leave. Easy access to soda refills and a condiment bar. No one in our party actually ordered a burger, but maybe we should have. The wraps & sandwiches we had were pretty bland. The "with chips" annoyed us as no one actually wants flavorless potato chips. You can bet Maybe Baby's trash is filled with these chips. Want fries with that? That will cost extra. The onion rings were very good and probably worth the charge. If you're from Manhattan above 96th Street, or the Bronx, don't be tempted to order the "Chopped Cheese" lest you be very disappointed, as it's unrelated to the bodega creation. I'm sure I was the first and only person ever to order this item. The menu is huge, service is fast, but we didn't see anything compelling us to skip the restaurants in the village. Stopped here for a lunch while traveling to Binghamton when I noticed this place on Yelp. It's a nice 50s themed burger joint. They have a 50s themed menu and decor to match. I like a restaurant that plays music and these guys play a 50s based soundtrack which adds a nice touch. You place your order at the counter and then have a seat until your order is called. Burgers are cooked to order, (medium, medium well etc.), so it is definitely not fast food and took a while to get our order. Probably about 30 minutes. The burgers are huge handmade patties and juicy and tasty. They have chicken sandwiches and 12" hotdogs in addition to the burgers. They also serve ice cream. I have only two criticisms. The first is that the restrooms are only big enough for one and there was line for the ladies room. The second is that the parking lot is mostly not paved and it was a mud mess. read more

Love this place. Maybe Baby said Buddy Holly and that was right. Great music playing but too loud so you can still have a conversation. Lots of period photos and red /white 50's decor. It was Friday so I had the half size fish fry for $8.99 with fries and coleslaw. Delicious fish. The batter was perfect-very light and not overpowering the fish. The coleslaw was good too. The chocolate shake was made with Gifford's ice cream. Creamy and rich and thick, topped with whipped cream and a cherry. My husband had a Buffalo chicken wrap which he couldn't finish (the chocolate shake probably had a little to do with that). He enjoyed it thoroughly. I can't help but be pleased every time I leave here. I just love the food. I haven't had bad food there yet. The fries are delicious and the burgers are huge. Portion sizes on everything is generous to say the least. The theme of the restaurant is awesome. There are a lot of unique items on display and an old tv in the counter. Troy did a fantastic job with the decor. Speaking of Troy, he is doing a wonderful job with this place. He works right along side of his employees and he is the main cook most of the time. Great burger joint with clean lines and good food. Great decor and my Big Cheese burger was fantastic. It's counter service here, but your proprietor Troy is out cleaning tables and taking orders. There is a gluten free bun option and my girlfriend chose to skip the bun entirely. Added peppers and mushrooms to hers and it was yummy. I had a peach shake handmade and that was also wonderful. I stopped Troy as he was working and he told me about the work that went into getting the place ready and how important it was to bring a year round place for locals and tourists alike.
