Of the Diageo brands I have tried these are really good: Seagram's 7 (who doesn't love a "seven and seven" with Seagram's and 7-Up?); Tanqueray (who doesn't love a TnT-Tanqueray and Tonic?); Captain Morgan (this is good for shots); Crown Royal (with the iconic purple bag we used to carry our change in); and Baileys which is always delicious in coffee around Christmas time! Among Diageo's non-alcoholic offerings are: Gordon's alcohol free; Captain Morgan Spiced Fold 0.0' and Tanqueray Alcohol Free. Good on Diageo for offering n/a options! That said, if you're mixing an ingredient heavy cocktail like a Bloody Mary or a Screwdriver, my bet is that the vodka is easily overwhelmed making that top shelf pour largely irrelevant... unless you're slumming with a gasoline infused brand like Popov. I love Chopin when I want to taste the vodka. In a Bloody, Smirnoff is just fine. Five underrated stars.

I didn't realize what a special wine shop I was walking into! Moore Brothers is a family-owned wine shop specializing in small-production wines and they've been open since 1996. They have three locations - this one in Wilmington and two others in Pennsauken, New Jersey, and Brooklyn, New York. The shop is organized by wine region, which was helpful. The customer service could not have been better. I was welcomed to the shop and offered help by no fewer than two staff members. When I brought the wine I'd selected to the checkout area, they asked if I wanted them to print the tasting note for the wine I'd selected, which was wonderful. I took it with me and read it when I opened the bottle that evening at my airbnb. Moore Brothers Wine is incredible and special. It's not the largest bottle shop but the wines on their shelves are specially selected and are wines they care about, made by winemakers they know and respect. It's just a different way of shopping for wine. So it's a great shop. I'd love to return when I'm next in Wilmington!
