The stage was set for our second bowling challenge and also as a mini uni reunion, we had been to…read moreTenpin 2 years earlier and had returned as we enjoyed the facilities offered. Upon arrival we were greeted by the friendly staff and paid for our two game sessions, which come to £12.50 per person, pretty cheap for London standards. Unlike other bowling alleys we were offered the choice of using bowling shoes or we could use our normal shoes - we decided to stick with our current footwear. We were allocated our alley, however, we asked to be moved down to a quieter spot and the member of staff happily moved us over without any question. We were visiting the alley on a Sunday at 13:00 and there were already a few families bowling. It seemed to have picked up at around 15:00 with more people turning up to play, so it would be a good idea to try arrive earlier to avoid the rush. As far as London bowling alleys go Tenpin certainly has the space and number of lanes for all size groups, it has a fully licensed bar and a pretty standard fast food style menu with burgers, chips and nachos (be sure to order with cheese as this doesn't come as standard). Attached to the bowling alley is an arcade with all the usual games including; Time Crisis, Dance Dance Revolution, Air Hockey and my personal favourite PacMan Smash air hockey (see photo). The venue also has several pool tables and table tennis available. If the fried fast food menu doesn't tickle your fancy there are several restaurants in the local area including Nandos, Pizzahut or Burger King. All in all this is a fun day out with a fair amount of activities available at a decent price. We will no doubt be back next year to continue our bowling challenge come reunion.

Staff there was rude and indifferent. The arcade is fun. The DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) was great fun. Pretty much what you'd expect from an arcade.

This was my first time taking part in anything like VR & I loved it! It was like stepping into a…read morenew universe! We tried 3 different "games", first we were transported into a different world and walked around in the magical place to get our VR legs. The graphics were amazing, I felt like I'd jumped into the TV! The venue has a huge free roam space so there is plenty of room for you and your group to explore the way of the land! After this, we went to play arcade style games, where we had hand controllers and you had to score points by playing the game on the screen. I was rubbish at this, so it didn't hold my attention long as I sulked! Another arcade style game they had was where you were on a check out and had to try and pick up guns and particular items to score points. Finally, my favourite game of the night was the Zombie Survival, where we were kitted up with our VR headsets and outfits and given our "guns" to hunt down some zombies. It is mad how realistic it is! You literally feel like you're in a computer game! You can change your weapon and score points when you shoot the zombies. Everyone's hits are scored and you can see them at the front after you've played to see which person in your group shot the most hits. It was brilliant! I had so much fun! There is so much space to move around, it is incredible. All the staff are really friendly and you get a full briefing before every game so you know how it all works. It isn't just for gamers either. Anyone with a competitive streak will enjoy it! Males and females alike. It is great to do with a group of friends for a hen/stag party or for a birthday or work do. I would definitely return! I honestly didn't even know this sort of thing existed in London! It is now something else new that I can say I've tried!

While there still weren't many people in the place (rather expected for midday on a Tuesday!), the vibe was much more pleasant. Perhaps I just caught the staff on an off day last time? Either way, it was a very enjoyable visit. However, I would still absolutely prefer if there were direction signs to the bowling/restaurant/skating that weren't just printed on the floor, given the low lighting makes them hard to read!

If you are a teenager group or a family looking for an activity on a rainy Sunday, this might be a fun place to go. The good thing about ice rank is that it is indoors and unlike any other place you even can go ice-skating in summer. The equipment all can be hired at the reception. Funny enough I was invited to a birthday to Queens. Even though it is original I did not really enjoy, as we were all grown up girls skating one round after the other. Not to mention this was summer! But pop icon Madonna and Guy Ritchie celebrated their son Rocco's 6th birthday at Queens then I am sure it I good enough for you little ones!

It's a shame that a film nominated for an academy award for it's Cinematography can be so easily butchered by a cinema chain who seemingly doesn't care about representing the artists work true to it's intentions. On top of the subpar projection, lights were left way too bright during the entire movie so it made it hard to concentrate on the film.

Ugh...that's the feeling I get whenever I venture near this place…read more... Service is soooo sloooooow especially as now you often have to buy your tickets from the food counters, so you have to wait ages while people decide what size bucket of coke they want... Once you're in the screens themselves things aren't too bad - sound and vision are generally of a good standard. The air-con is however overenthusiastic so if you're of a chilly disposition remember to take some warm clothes! The sign at the entrance of the ladies warns that "male and female cleaners service these facilities" but I have to conclude that neither had been near them for quite some time...at least four loos were out of order and most of the ones that weren't needed a darn good clean (I guess you have to point a large finger of blame at the manky people who don't know a) how to flush a toilet or b) that any more than about 20 sheets of loo paper is likely to lead to a serious blockage.... Added to the fact it's now damn expensive (£10.45 per adult to see the 3D Christmas Carol film) to go to the cinema I was reminded why I don't often bother these days. Far nicer to stay warm, have clean loos and cheap eats at home with a DVD!
