New Life is a miracle and the best sober living in the country. My son went through the house 8…read moreyears ago and that was a life changing experience for the whole family. NLH doesn't just teach the boys to stay sober, it teaches them life skills, it teaches them to be productive, independent, loving, caring, and giving. NLH is not done with the boys when they graduate the program, these boys stay connected to the house. They go back for meeting and house events. The families stay involved and connected with the house after graduation. 8 years later, we still go to the alumni dinners, holiday party, summer picnic. The boys who went through the house with my son's 8 years ago are his best friends . They gather for weekly dinners, go on trips together, and spend quality time together. I can't say enough good things about New Life. Most of the people who work there are graduates of the house so they understand the house and the boys more than anyone else would. They do it because they care and love what they do. They help the families throughout the whole process. It is worth the money and the time spent there. When my doctor wanted me to go to Centinella ER because that's where he would see me for a procedure I was hesitant. I was admitted to the hospital and I must say I have been pleasantly surprised as I have received excellent care. All the staff has been professional and kind.

When my wife went through their ER. They suggested a coronary bypass and when we suggested getting…read morea second opinion they said that it would need to be done by their own surgery staff instead of my wife's cardiologist. We asked that she be directly transferred to Little Company of Mary in Torrance. They lost the paperwork for the transfer, then they released her and directed us to our own Dr. We finally got to LCOM Torrance, and the Dr there said that she shouldn't have been moved without a medical transfer directly from Centenilla to LCOM. We explained to her cardiologist that Centenilla hospital didn't even offer that option and that we were directed to her Dr office then to LCOM. Now my mother in law has been waiting two days for a medical transfer from Centenilla hospital to LCOM after her PCP recommended her to be transferred. Someone cancelled her medical transfer, I am in contact with her primary care physician's staff to find out who cancelled her medical transfer. If it was Centenilla hospital then I will personally sign the legal documents filing a lawsuit against Centenilla hospital.
