My husband told him the truck he wanted and when he came back with the figures, it was laughable. We have excellent credit, but they used a 9 or 10 percent interest rate to get the monthly payment & then Toby tried to tell us 3 or 4 % in the interest rate only made about $15.00 difference in the monthly payment. Toby Neal's attitude left a lot to be desired, maybe he thought we didn't have money, or he was not wanting to split commission with David. This time, I went with a recommendation from a classmate. Her husband used to work for Kia and is a certified master ASE mechanic, so I took a shot at trying him out. Before coming, I called and talked directly to Phil. I gave him the list of problems I was having, and he told me to come on in. He'd drive the car and make his assessment then. And so he did once I got there. And as suspected, our diagnosis came. He was confident, honest, gave pricing up front, gave suggestions/alternatives, and did not pressure me into anything. So in coming to him with one thing I needed done, I upgraded my work to include a set of new tires, just because of his business practice. I I was so impressed with him diagnosing the car, showing me where the problems were, giving me different pricing options, offering me a courtesy car, and moving my car seat from my car to the other. This was 5 star service. I will be back. And I will tell everyone that I hear searching for a mechanic to try Phil Martin out. It was not until I called Donna that I found out there was still a lien on the vehicle at US Bank in Sparta. I just now have the tags and the title but it was only after taking this up with Wayne Neighbor the Putnam County clerks office for vehicle registrations .This is a dealership that misrepresented the titling on a vehicle that they did not have a clear title for and sold it regardless. If you want to deal with a dealer that is honest stay away from Jimmy Lewis Auto sales. They lie.
