I saw Big Daddy's BBQ and decided to try their ribs. SO GLAD I DID. These ribs were fantastic. The BBQ sauce was a thin, sweet sauce. It was delicious, although the ribs didn't need it. The ribs were smoked to perfection and the meat just fell off the bone. Best ribs I've had in East Tennessee. I was told their "wings" are phenomenal also. I will definitely try them next time. If you were just driving by, you would probably skip it. You would be making a TERRIBLE mistake. It is a small place- Very small. At present, there are only 2 4 top tables and a bar to eat at. It is run by a husband and wife team, with the "Don" himself doing the cooking and the wife serving the customers. They are probably some of the nicest people you will ever meet- And they are what makes this place really stand out. The food is incredible- Because it isn't just being slapped together by an underpaid line cook, it is being prepared by someone who actually CARES. The ingredients are fresh, from the home made tortilla chips to the selection of sauces and dips. The menu is small, but everything is good. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get past the street tacos- they are just too good. They are offered with a variety of meats, which varies a bit from day to day depending on what they are able to get. They have a TON of meat, which is perfectly cooked and seasoned, on fresh hot tortillas. And, of course, Cilantro and onion. They are incredible. You order them individually, so I usually get a mix. My wife has branched out a bit. Last time, she tried their chimichanga, which was not surprisingly incredibly good as well, and HUGE. For those who don't do Mexican, they also have a nice selection of burgers available. OI have seen them, and they look great- and there is also a lot of "buzz" about them in the local facebook groups, but there is no way I'd order one when the Mexican food is off the charts. It's a short distance from I-75, so if you're passing through the area, stop in! You will be glad that you did.

I'm a native San Diegoan, and getting some legit street tacos in Tennessee is a dream come true. If you're not used to "authentic" street tacos, know that they are supposed to be "simple". Tortilla, meet, cilantro & onion, and maybe some salsa. Al Pastor should have pineapple too. My favorite thing to order is the "Mexi-can not Mexi-can't" which is three street tacos. I get the Al Pastor, and a side of queso and chips. Their queso is amazing and the chips are the best I have ever had. If you're used to "cheese" and things on your tacos, then I'd recommend ordering the gringo style. You should know that the beans aren't "refried", but seasoned black beans which are delicious but may surprise some people.
