Our bartender Crystal was extremely knowledgeable and picked a few of my pours and I was blown away. We met so many good people that came to drink pours too. It has the distinction of being located right across from the Jefferson mall and also across from a wal mart. Unlike most major roads with customer bases businesses outer loop does not have many gas stations at all. This is the only one right in the heart of the businesses so it gets some good business from that. Pretty easy to maneuver in and out of as they have an outer loop entrance and a side street entrance on smithon lane. Gas prices are always right on par with other places and the inside is usually pretty well maintained. Like other speedways they have solid snack and food options with cheap fountain drinks and pizza. Overall nice location that has been around since as long as I can remember. Long time staple of the area it is in.

Coz spirit shoppe is a long time liquor and smoke shop in the okolona area of Lousiville located…read moreat the intersections of Preston Highway and blue lock road. For many many years this location was called cheers and was a staple of the community. About a decade or so ago cox took over but maintained the good pricing and local charm of the original. I've ventured here over the years quite a bit as I was born and raised in okolona and my folks and in laws still live nearby. As mentioned they usually are pretty cheap compared to other liquor stores. I'd say they are generally about $5 cheaper a fifth on your middle to lower high end bourbons such as crown Royal, bullitt and eagle rare. Recently on Christmas Eve I actually snagged a bottle of eagle rate for $37. So not bad at all. Very large selection and store. They also have a pretty nice cigar area for people who partake in that activity. I don't know much about cigars or cigar smoking so I can't speak on the quality. But compared to other liquor stores it does seem like Thai place has a larger selection. Overall, This is a well located liquor store with good pricing. Which there a reason a location like this can survive in a location for as long as it has. Good spot to stop and get some drinks if in the okolona area.
