Whenever I have a special occasion that I can justify it, I'd love to come and request a specific cut of meat here. In addition to meat and deli, they offer all sorts of goodies, treats, and things to make your meats taste better. It's always nice and clean inside, and even though it's a little tight that's never been a problem. My only beef (pun very much intended) with Boone's is that they're closed on Sunday, so I can't go to church and get my butcher shop shopping on the same day. Love Boone's, would highly recommend.

Be careful if purchasing items that appear to have been opened, many times the returned item is incomplete or broken. The store does not do a good job vetting returns an often puts sub-standard products back on the shelf.

Stopped by on our way back home after a great weekend in Bardstown. We wanted to pick up some…read moresorghum syrup. We went inside and saw they had bacon, huge three pound sleeves of sausage. We had never had it before and I kind of hated to commit to three pounds of it, but we went ahead and bought it. Super friendly owner rang us up and we left. Cool thing was, after we got back on the road, we wanted to find a place to eat breakfast. We got off the beaten path and stopped at Crystal's Country Diner in Mount Washington, ( catch my review on this place!! ) where I had the best sausage I have ever had! When the owner came and introduced herself, I couldn't help but ask if they made that sausage in house. She was quick to let us know that it was from Old Delaney's! Needless to say, they will definitely be a stop when we return to Ky!

Thankfully, when it comes to getting food quickly, Rosie's is nearby. Rosie's puts the convenience in convenience store. A hop, skip and a jump from the office, they carry hot, fresh food on the fly so I can grab some Charlie Biggs' crispy fried chicken, or a fresh bowl of steaming, hot chili and be back at work lickety split. None of it's health food but I'm moving fast and it doesn't hurt to carb up. At least, that's what I tell myself (and everyone that happens to read this.)
