With all that is going on in the world, it's good to take a breather amidst nature to decompress. This is a good park to take a leisurely stroll since they have a ~1 mile paved trail (~2 mile round trip) that also acts as the disc golf course with benches throughout. There is also a dock that has calming views on the Glenville Lake. You may encounter some wildlife as well such as bunnies that I saw on my first trip. At the other end of the park are some tennis courts that has a separate parking space. If you were to walk, it would take about 10-15 minutes to get there. As of June 3, 2020, the park is opened until 7 pm, but should get back to regular hours once things are more stable.

The husband and I had spent five days "vacationing", i.e., doing nothing. This is good--for awhile. Then you need to get up, get outside, and get active. At least we do. So we searched the hiking trails in the area and settled on Mazarick Park because it's on a lake; and we love the water. The route we took to get there was scary at times. An entire strip of sports (that's one word for it) bars and cabarets (read: strip clubs) with names like Bottoms Up. But with six minutes left in the drive, we pressed on and hoped for the best. Now we have visited some incredibly beautiful lakes before; this wasn't one of them. Still, it's a lake with lovely rows of water bound trees that make a nice reflection on the water's surface. (See photo.) A few men were fishing off a dock for "anything that will eat the bait." We would've sat on the pier for awhile but didn't want to disturb their fishing. A paved path extends in opposite directions from the pier. Each ending at a road, so we doubled back at each end. The park is also used for disc golf and has a few playgrounds, pavilions and rest rooms throughout. The path, covered with tall pines, was very well maintained and the bathrooms clean, but there was some trash in the brush. I wished I'd brought a trash bag and gloves. Nonetheless, the walk was quiet and serene, with chirping birds and only a few people. The entire walk was about 2 miles, flat and easy. We'd walk it again.

Best park in all of Fayetteville! It's quiet , clean , beautiful, you can fish , places for kids to play , ride your scooters on the paths , the list goes on and on !

This is the "NEW" course at Mazerick park. It's newer, but so new that it uses older baskets and the tee pads and course markers haven't been fully installed. This course is still being worked on. I will try to write a navigational review as I become more familiar with it. But for now, just know this course is much harder to navigate, but play wise, it's easier and allows for some decent scores. Shooting under par is very feasible on this course. There is only 17 holes right now, so most play hole 1 twice to make it a complete 18. It gets the same review as the other course because I like playing this course better because I can get a better score and I like the layout better. There is still some very technical shots required, but they are manageable. The con to this course, similar to the other course is that there is some very muddy spots on the course. There are some throws that go over the walking path, but at locations where it's not really a blind spot, so it's much safer play than the other course.

Asking for donations for Special Olympics at concessions. So maybe a theme night or every night? Fits well with the whole down home family friendly affordable atmosphere they promote. Here on a Tuesday night, August 1, near the end of the summer--dog days of summer. Lots of seats available. Actually way more were open than taken. Parking was no problem at all. Great games held between innings for kids and adults. My favorite was the husband and wife tossing toilet seats. Also several chances to catch t-shirts, fly swatters and peanuts. The peanuts are worth the price and from Dublin, NC! The Miller lite liberty lounge is probably worth the extra $6 for free popcorn, peanuts and soda, plus $1 dogs, burgers and beers. Wine only $2. Not the best seats located in left field, but close to outfield action. Maybe next time. We will be back! Well maintained field, comfortable seating as far as ball parks go--could use a cup holder on each box seat. Clean restrooms and a patriotic crowd, free of bad sports on this night. We were two of the few (if any) Morehead Marlin fans in the stadium and we won. Love the history of the league and that players now can't be paid (college athletes) but cone from all over the country to play ball all summer while living with a host family. And they get fed after every game. It's Olive Garden tonight.

The seats had backs (not bleachers) and we were about three rows up from behind home plate. We bought our tickets via phone and had no wait time. The line to buy tickets was incredibly long. I recommend buying in advance. As mentioned by other reviewers, parking is free but a mess. However, they allow you to park along the road and pretty much anywhere. I am fine w/ that, but we left before the game ended, so no issues getting out. Concessions are pricey, but that's to be expected. It's cash only, but there is an ATM. Bring enough cash so you don't have to wait in two lines. Concessions had a decent selection of junk food (chicken fingers, fries, pizza, nachos, cotton candy) and beer. Eat before you come if you want a real meal or something healthy. The place is family friendly and had numerous events for kids throughout the game. I will note it is the first place I have been in a "crowd" in Fayetteville that the police were not out in force. Which is nice for once - not a hit on the police - rather the usually Fayetteville event DOES require police presence. Enjoyable evening and we will return!

Bathrooms were actually pretty clean throughout the event, so no complaints there. My biggest issue was the flow of people. The outside signage could've been a lot better because it wasn't always clear which entrance you were supposed to use. Inside, the concession area felt overcrowded and poorly laid out. You had the entrances, bathrooms, and like four different vendors all in the same area with long lines everywhere. It created a bottleneck and made it harder to move around than it needed to be. Not a bad venue overall, but they could definitely improve the layout and signage for larger events.

The prices have gone up and the quality has dropped way down which is crazy. They have closed blueline which only left one bar on the concourse, with only one bartender which makes for a long wait. The bar upstairs is inconvenient and it takes the gentleman working in it and long time to make a simple drink, The last hockey game i attended was sellout night and it was like a mad house, the bar was ridiculous, i guess i can only be hopeful that they will get the other bar back open soon and that the service gets better.

The business seemed awesome at first, the owner was very approachable seemed down to earth kinda just an all around good guy persona so because I had to pay for a part to be ordered I went ahead and payed for the whole bill. ( I'm an idiot ) Of course since I payed up front and he already had my money I was not a priority anymore. I was initially told I was going to get my vehicle done in two to three days. Four days go by and I have to physically go there because this guy will not return my calls. (Why would he, he's already got my money remember) Finally after having to go down to this place twice on a Saturday I catch the owner and tell him I am upset because he did not return my calls or manage to get my vehicle in for the service I had payed for so he starts telling me about how he is going through a divorce and how he just had to fire employees for doing drugs and breaking into his shop at night and stealing stuff... Also about how some some guy that works there took a customers car at nights and put 700 miles on it joyriding around town in the matter of the two weeks it was at his shop getting work done... These are all stories that the owner himself told me like I would let his company touch my vehicle after hearing his information. Still have not received my refund 10 days after he ran my card to "refund" me the amount I had payed him. I asked the owner Kyle Gardner about it today but of course he failed to respond... Seriously don't waste your time, this place is nothing but a headache! #abouttobeblacklisted
