Such an awesome place to take dogs. The community of pet owners there was very welcoming and fun. The people were very attentive to the dogs making sure that nobody got too aggressive or crazy. I loved that they picked up after themselves and made us feel welcMy only complaint is the parking lot, you can't see your car from the large dog area. It was a bit muddy after the rain so if you have a problem with puddles then it's not the place for you. UPDATE: We have had run ins with aggressive dogs that went after our puppy. The two owners immediately grabbed their dogs and left the park but our puppy is now pretty untrusting of the other dogs so we are definitely staying away on the weekends and going when it's not as crowded. We found out that more dogs equals more chances for fights. read more

I really like bringing my little Stout to this park. 1. Its the only dog park in the Fay area and 2. There's some regulars that you end up seeing and making friends. There's a ton of water buckets and abandoned toys left around. And I like that most people keep the park clean. There are often dog bags tied to the fence for convenient pick up. And there's also some good shady seating, which has been really helpful in this summer heat. Speaking of heat, they even have small doggie pools for when the weather get super hot, so fun seeing the doggos jump on and run all about. We've been having a hard time finding a good park that is maintained, rules seem to be enforced, and all patrons are friendly and easy going. It seems like this area of NC doesn't have that except on occasion you find a hidden gem like Riverside Dog Park! Usually the small (under 25lbs) side is so small that our dogs are jealous of all the amenities on the large dog side but this place has a huge area for both! They have toys, water fountains with fresh water for the dogs, it's well kept and shady which is important during the summer. We brought my daughter's German Shepherd/Arctic Wolf puppy here while she was in class. The large dog area was huge with plenty of running and playing space. There were large buckets of water throughout the park and a fire hydrant water spout to refill the buckets. For the most part, the puppies were all playing together and running around with the exception of one dog being the occasional bully. Remy made sure to stay away from that guy and he seemed to mellow out after he asserted his dominance with some of the smaller dogs. Jerk. The humans were also very friendly and kept track of their dogs. Our guy is only 1 year old and needs to be socialized so I was a little worried but he just wanted to run and play with his new friends. He had so much fun and I hope my daughter will bring him back after we go back home to OK. The only downside to this park is the location. The park is behind the "Reclamation Facility" and when the wind would gust, the smell was not at all pleasant. It shouldn't be a deterrent because the area is so large and so fun for the puppies. read more

People bring their aggressive dogs to the park and then do NOTHING about it when their dog aggressively barks and bites my dogs. I used to like it but other owners ruin it by not training their dogs. read more

It's the only other dog park around the area other than the one on fort bragg. We take our pup every weekend even if we have a backyard so she can get some socialization in. There is the 'usual crowd' that comes in, but Saturdays and Sundays, there's an early morning crowd, but we tend to come after 1030 or 1100, that's when most of the crowd shows up. We have tried to come on the weekdays, and we must miss the crowd as it is usually dead. Most dogs are pretty well behaved, but there have been some occasional bullies that show up. Good thing there are three separate fenced areas: small dogs and then, the large dog area has two sections that can be separated. After a good rain, expect lots of puddles as it doesn't seem to drain well, at all. Of course our pup loves to run and roll in the puddles, so we always bring a towel. They provide poop bags at the front gate on top of the garbage can, but beware, we have stepped in plenty of poop as some people don't seem to grasp the concept that they need to clean up after their pets. There's also the linear park next to this dog park, but it's pretty unimpressive to use as a jogging path as it is short and loops around next to the cemetery. On a hot day, you may get whiffs of the sewage processing plant next door too. I'm not sure when the construction will end, even though the road looks closed off, don't be deterred, the road is open! read more

I just recently started going to this park about two weeks ago i went earlier this afternoon and i was at the park for about 2 hours with my 4 dogs i went back to my car after i was ready to leave and someone broke my car window and robbed my school laptop my wallet and my airpods. I quickly called 911 and made a police report there are no cameras in this park or even around the park so the police could do nothing about it im so upset this park needs cameras who knows what else happens in that park and people just get away with it. mind y'all i got to the park around 1:30 in the afternoon and got back to my car almost at 3:00 even in the day time when it's bright outside you can still get robbed yall be careful out there. it's just the fact that there was so many people coming in and out of the dog park and nobody said anything about the glass being all over the floor ‍ read more

The park was alright, it's December so obviously it's not that pretty here yet because it's winter time. But I wanted to make a comment on the safety here. My husband and I came here the other day for the first time and 2 cars got broken into, like windows smashed. And unfortunately there is an electrical fenced off area in between the parking Lot and the dog area so you can't see your cars when you're in with your dog. That kind of turned me off from coming back because I feel like the area is just unsafe. read more

Are you kidding me? This dog park is unsafe for any dog that is generally smaller than 40lbs. I took my 5 month of heeler there and immediately was attacked by another dog. At the gate. Didn't even make it into the park. The owner did nothing. Let the dog continue to play while I was cleaning the blood off of my dog. I found this little gem in Fayetteville after looking and researching around for the best dog park. I have two dogs, one who is very hyper and had a rough past, and another dog who is a people person. I love how high the fences are so the dogs don't get out or jump over them. The park is split into sections, one for smaller dogs and two sections for bigger dogs. One section is where a lot of the dogs play and one section usually isn't crowded. I like to bring my hyper dog to run around in the part by itself with my other dog before we get them used to other dogs. All the owners there are vigilant of their dogs and are super respectful. Highly recommend this park for any dog owner! read more

The park is a great size, with three sections. There are some trees for shade, benches, free bags, trash cans, and water buckets. Some days it can be quite crowded. I can't give the park any higher than a three start rating, however, because there's a lot of pet waste that people don't pick up. It makes an otherwise great park just so-so. read more

Very spacious with good shady seating for owners, lots of water buckets, several trash cans with provided waste bags. I like that the large dog area has an additional area on the far side of the field with a gate. When I first got my 4y/o pitt mix she was very poorly socialized. Having the ability to be close to other dogs without over stimulating her or other dogs really helped to put us both at ease and helped her be less nervous about playing with new dogs. That's always an option that I recommend to owners in a similar starting situation. There is a regular crowd of really nice dogs with really nice owners that go almost every day in the evenings, but Saturday and Sunday mornings tend to be flooded with douche whispers that think they are Cesar Millan. That crowd didn't help me at all teach my dog that she could trust people. Weekday evenings was a better option for us. read more

I love the huge fenced in area for the dogs to run and play. I try to go at least once a week. There are water fountains for the dogs and usually a few tennis balls and frisbees. There are a list of rules at the gate so please take a moment to read them. Avoid going after a rain because it gets rather muddy but still a great place to take the pups. read more

BYOWD - Bring Your Own Water Dish for your dog - lots of dogs pee on the water buckets and if you don't want your dog drinking pee water, then bring your own so you can monitor that whole issue... Huge area for large dogs to play in - last I knew, waaaaaay out there is a gate that is open most of the time, so watch out for that. Your dog may slither through and start playing in that area. Most of the time, the dogs all hang together though and aren't looking for an escape route. I quit going here because my dog got into it with a Siberian husky here, but for the whole year before that, we had a great time and I've never had an issue with any other dog owners. Every one was super cool and paid attention. Double gated entrance to both play areas. Bags provided. Water faucets inside play areas, and you can shower your dog if your dog cooperates. read more

All the dogs wana drink out of the same bucket and piss in it right after while other dogs are trying to drink from it. It's a huge park so it's good for dogs to get all that pent up energy out. I like this dog park but every time I go there to take my little dog, in front of the gate you can tell that a bigger dog has done his business and the owner did not clean it up. I don't want to step in the dog poop so please ask the dog owners to clean up behind their dogs...please because I want to go back to the park with my dog. read more

It's really the only dog park in Fayetteville we have found. Some great things about it was the size. It's great dog park for our two floppy-eared pups to run around. The dogs there are great too. So many people bring their dogs so it's great to talk with nice people and for the dogs to run around with others. Only real down side is it gets really muddy and you have to watch out for the land mines (poop) around the park. A wash station would be nice for them, but hey you can't have everything. I'm going to start with 2 stars. We just moved here from Colorado and we drove by to check out dog park (without dogs) first. I'm sure as long as other dogs are there my dogs will enjoy themselves, but going off looks I really want to give it 1 star. It is rather small, just a couple of trees, just..... NOTHING! Yes there are water buckets and that is a plus, but it's just a small dull area. Some of the rules don't make sense to me, if your dog barks to much they need to leave??? It's a dog park! No children under 12 is another, if your child doesn't know how to respect animals you shouldn't bring them to a dog park, actually you prob. Shouldn't have pets at all, but my kids do, and they always go to the dog parks with us. Maybe I am just spoiled from Colorado where the dog park was 4 acres, off leash, all ages, trees and hills and rocks everywhere and a big stream running threw it, open 24 hours. We would spend hours there, and the more wet and muddy they got the better they slept. It's an okay dog park... Basically, it's the park everyone goes to. It is pretty much a big grass fenced in field. I only wish there were ponds or something fun. But the trail is good to walk the dogs and for the most part all the owners are very responsible for thier pooches. Good conversation with pups parents though. read more

Generally a very fun place to go with my pup, I have a 5 month old large breed puppy and he fits in well with the big dog section and gets along with everyone. My only dislike is that yes there's the occasional bully, though normally it's no big deal, this past weekend my dog was playing with another pup and they were really just in their own world the whole time we were there. There was a large dog(much bigger than our pups) who was pestering and bullying the pups until we and the owner eventually had enough and he put his dog on a leash and walked to another group of dogs(kept his dog on leash because he really had it out for the puppies for whatever reason). My issue is that we with the playful puppy's were asked by another person if we could take our dogs to go play in the small dog park(there were no dogs) so the "bully" was still able to get some exercise.. we did so out of courtesy, but I was peeved. We did nothing wrong and his dog was the instigator, so he should have taken his dog to the other side. A majority of the dogs that come here are very well socialized, but he fits into the a few of the ones I've seen that aren't very. read more

I have been here twice now and I like the early morning. The park is very small and for what ever the reason people do not pick up the dog poop here. I like that they have water stations but they are not clean. This park does not seem to get a daily service and trash seems to pile up. Decent park. Moved here from a very pet friendly city so it's sad to see this is all we have. The construction is a problem and it sucks, wide areas with lots of water, the only problem I have with this is the parents that bring children who cannot behave well around dogs. The biggest thing for me is space and this park has a lot of it. There are two separate areas for large and small dogs. The small dog area is pretty spacious and my mini pin mix is a sprinter so she loves all the space to romp and play. They have all these old tennis balls all around but I'd personally rather not touch them or let my dog play with them because of the fact that you don't know what all these other dogs have and they sit outside when it rains so they must be gross. There are also plenty of water pails with water stations to refill and clean off your pup if they get too messy. Another great thing is that the majority is shaded with huge trees and plenty of benches for owners to sit. Overall, it's a very decent park. It might be a little tricky to get there because they have all this construction going on which could look like the road is closed but it's not. They recently put a sign that says you're able to turn to the park which is a help because they never had it before which made us think there was no way in. Right next to the entrance to the play areas there is a walking trail with all these overlooks to these streams and woods. It's very nice. The trail itself is about 1-2 miles and also shaded by the trees. I reccomend bringing a travel bowl just because the water bowls there are obviously community. read more

Starting off, the parking lot is an OK size. I prefer a modest amount of people at the dog park anyways. Not too many people / dogs, hopefully not completely empty. Both "small" and "large breed" entrances have a dual gate. So you don't have to worry about some idiot letting your dogs loose. Unless, they do it twice within a matter of minutes (through both gates). I counted about 8 or 9 benches on the "large breed" side. The majority of them were in the shade. Around 15 water buckets were scattered throughout the park. The "small" and "large breed" sides have both a water spout for filling up buckets and a shower like spout for rinsing off your dogs. There is dirt around some benches and under the trees so if it rains your dogs will get dirty. However, there is quite a bit of grass so you could potentially avoid the "disgusting" dog thing but not the "dirty" dog thing. The people and dogs are hit or miss. I have encountered some amazing dogs with cool owners and shit head dogs with lazy owners and everything in-between. I drive over an hour to get to this dog park... And my 2 bitches sleep all day after a trip there. Worth it! read more

Sorry, we've been coming to the park for three years now since our dog adopted us. She is shy with people and afraid of children, especially small one. When things are right she has a lot of fun. Unfortunately, her experience has been ruined at times by PEOPLE who refuse to obey the rules. Today on Christmas, we came to the park and a woman with six dogs, three of them under 25 lbs, had closed up the back enclosure. Almost as soon as we got in, parents brought in three children, two of them obviously under 13. We usually just move to the back of back enclosure when this happens as our dog can't get comfortable as long as she hears and sees children. But the lady blocked us, protesting that she had a dog in "heat" that she had to keep separate. When I informed her that she wasn't supposed to have a dog in "heat" in the park, she told me not to give her an "attitude". Over and over, people come to the park and disobey the rules because Parks & Recreation does nothing to enforce them. Not picking up after their dogs, allowing aggressive dogs to remain, mistreating their dogs, bringing small children, even babies, sometimes in strollers. Some come in and go sit on a bench and do everything BUT engage with their dogs. They take large dogs in the small dog enclosure, take small dogs in the large dog enclosure, take the collars off their dogs and leave their leashes at the gate so they have no way to control their dogs if necessary. Maintenance is rough and ready, with grass-cutting running over anything in the park, ensuring the destruction of any toys or balls or even water pails people leave behind. Erratic clean up of the cans and the lack of a can in the back enclosure. And if you remind people of the rules, they become defensive and even verbally abusive. So despite the many good times my god has here, the bad times out-weigh the good. read more
