For how many people pass through daily, I found it clean - especially compared to a public transport stop in Chicago or NYC. As an American, from Wisconsin, I am essentially ignorant as to how public transportation works. But with a little patience and a lot of assistance from Google Maps and politely asking staff or other travelers, it really isn't as crazy as it seems. I feel like there is decent signage, the key is to research ahead of time what platform you are arriving on and where you need to go next. Also, avoiding the work/school rush hours makes it much less intimidating ;)

That's because it is basically a major interchange station, and it almost seems as if all trains that head to the south of London pass through here. Honestly, it is truly massive. Due to a lift issue at Harrow and Wealdstone Station, I had to take a half an hour detour out of my…read morejourney to continue on my Southern Railway train to Harrow Station, only to end up waiting for another train to take me back to Wembley Central, which goes on the opposite platform with a working lift, this trip to the station because of this was an unwanted one. Harrow and Wealdstone Station is a train station in the Harrow area of London, and for ticketing it is classed as region 5. This is quite an old station, to the point where it was made a Grade II Listed building in 1990. The worst ever British railway crash in 1952, which killed 112 people also sadly occurred here at this station. The station is managed by London Underground but has both Underground and Overground trains. As mentioned this station is pretty old, and it has nothing too special about it, it doesn't have a lot of shops or coffee-shops in the station. Services from here go into the likes of Milton Keynes, Wembley Central and London Euston, with the London Euston being an Overground or London Midland service, as I recall this calls at Wembley Central, so if you're going to watch a football match at Wembley this station isn't too far away for you in terms of getting a train into Wembley. As mentioned, a decent yet not fantastic overall level of more local train connections run from here to the likes of Watford, Milton Keynes, Wembley and London, and this station isn't terrible but overall as it lacks any special feature, other than being a Grade II listed building, I sadly feel Harrow and Wealdstone Station deserves a two-star rating, which even then is a little generous.

Very quick to get in / out of the station - just mind where you entered and where you exit. Used the Oyster card and found it very easy to tap in / out. The staff working there are very friendly and will help you out if get confused. Just remember they have 4 platforms and the above ground trains help you see that. Found their bathroom & snack shop very useful for the 35 minute trip into London!

There are some small shops, a nice pub and a few coffee places right by the station. This is great if you want to stop of for something on your way to or from the station.

Ordinary overground station, very quick into Waterloo, but with a beautiful entrance…read more Right on the edge of Wandsworth centre, it's located at the end of the Old York Road, and has a great early morning street food vendor outside, selling amazing bacon butties. It's better and quicker than the buses, or driving generally, and offers a regular quick service into central London.

I like this train station - it's easily accessible via the Tube, has a lot of trains that depart…read morefairly frequently and a lot of kiosks to buy your ticket. I've never had to wait in line to buy a ticket at the machines. The screens are large and pretty clear to help you figure out what train to take, and you can see all the different platforms. There are a lot of shops in this station to buy food - including Pret-a-Manger if you want a salad for something healthy. There's also Upper Crust or places to get coffee or a Boots if you need to pick up something there. You don't have to walk too far to get to the Tube, which is nice and the place has a lot of natural sunlight. The station is pretty, and they even have a Christmas tree during the holidays. All in all, a fine station to take the train and it's pretty centrally located. It's close to Borough Market too, which is nice if you want a good selection of food before or after your train gets in.

Large train station with over 20 tracks. I had to connect to local WiFi to buy tickets. Otherwise use machines in the terminal. Beware that the +20 tracks are CNN located on the far side. You must have a ticket to enter any of tracks.

Changing trains at this station to get to Gatwick Airport was a little confusing. There are multi…read morelevels and the signage wasn't clear (to me anyway) I found a man with an employee uniform who was able to direct me and give me information about the ticket. He was very nice and helpful. My anxiety was eased! The station is large and bustling I didn't see a lot of seating. It was clean. The Main Street outside the station had lots of shops.

Well, it is run by a private company, but its lines are included on the map, and you can use the oyster card on its metropolitan routes, but as it turns out, you can pretty much do that with all of the trains so I guess that doesn't really count. Yeah, I didn't mind this station, but them like with most of them I'm only passing through many of them, and I suspect that if I actually lived in London I'd have a somewhat different perspective.

Stratford Station is the train station that we used most often when we stay in London. We always…read morestay at a hotel close to Stratford Station because it is very convenient. So many of the different train lines stop at Stratford Station. As others have mentioned, this station is huge! We've gotten a bit confused a couple of times during our stay. The staff have been very helpful in directing us where to go to get to our destination. For our most recent trip to London, there were quite a bit of homeless folks and litter outside the station. Never noticed any on our past trips to London. Other than that, I have no complaints about Stratford Station.

Action Town is a major interchange on the District and Piccadilly lines in West London, and is used…read moreby over 5.5 million passengers a year. Opened in 1879 as Mill Hill Park on the extension of the Metropolitan District Railway from Turnham Green to Ealing Broadway, services were gradually augmented with the opening of the line to Hounslow Town in 1883, to Hounslow Barracks (now Hounslow West) in 1884 and South Acton in 1905. The station was rebuilt in 1910 and renamed 'Acton Town'. It was rebuilt again in 1931, in preparation for the Piccadilly line taking over services (from the District Line) to Uxbridge, and with the extension of Piccadilly line services to Hounslow West (now on the Heathrow branch) in 1933. This is one of Frank Holden's famous modernist style stations, with a tall, square ticket hall featuring extensive glazing, above a single storey podium containing shops and other facilities. The platforms also retain the concrete canopies from this period. Alas, these are looking a little tatty now, and the whole station could benefit from a lick of paint. The line to South Acton closed in 1959, and since 1964 the Hounslow West branch has been operated by Piccadilly line trains only (but was extended to Heathrow in 1977). It retains an important function as an interchange, as Piccadilly line trains do not stop at most of the intermediate stations between here and Hammersmith, and it is the junction for the lines north to Ealing Broadway (District) and Rayners Lane/Uxbridge (Piccadilly) and west to Heathrow (Piccadilly). The station is served by the E3 bus, and by buses 70, 207, 427, 440 and night buses N7, N11 and N207 in nearby Harrow Road

Still, as a station it's pretty cool, and I believe it is the last one before you get to London Bridge station, which I certainly found convenient, considering that I needed to get to Piccadilly for a show (and I did manage to make it, though I should have brought some water with me). Yeah, this was a pretty cool station, and it certainly had some lovely old charm about it as well.

Greenwich Station is in Zone 2 and hosts overground services operated by South Eastern towards…read moreCannon Street and Charing Cross (London Bound) and Dartford and Kent. It is located a few minutes walk away from Greenwich's main attractions. When leaving the station, turn left and walk down Greenwich High Road. Facility wise there is a small coffee shop and a news stand where you can purchase newspapers, magazines, drinks and snacks for the same price as a newsagent. Another thing which is worth noting is that for some reason the trains here stop all the way down the end of the platform, quite far away from the station entrance which is really quite annoying is if you're running late it means you are likely to miss your train. Get to the station early if you can. I have also once made a complaint to tfl as I was approached by sales people on the platform trying to sell me dental insurance (or something) which made me feel uncomfortable whilst I waited. Credit to tfl and the staff, my complaint was upheld and I haven't seen sales people on the platform since.
