I hired Mark to help clean up some work left behind by a previous accountant. Unfortunately, the experience ended up being just as disappointing--if not worse. During what was supposed to be an active and ongoing engagement, Mark became completely unresponsive. This was especially concerning given that he had access to both my personal financial information and business accounts. There were no status updates, no clear next steps, and no transparency around the progress of the work. After months of emailing and calling Mark with no response, I asked my husband to reach out. He finally made contact with Mark and he acknowledged that he was overwhelmed and had not been handling things professionally after being completely unresponsive for months. When it comes to something as important and sensitive as personal and business accounting, communication and reliability are essential. Unfortunately, this experience lacked both. I would not recommend working with Mark and would encourage others to seek an accountant who communicates clearly and operates with a higher level of professionalism and accountability.

Avery has been doing my personal and corporate taxes for over 23 years. He is helpful, informative, and detailed oriented. Patient and understanding, he has a complete grasp of the tax laws, and will explain everything in detail. He's personable, friendly and very helpful. Work is completed timely and accurately. The staff is amazing. Gina, Avery's assistant, is on top of everything. She's so nice and makes sure your questions and messages get answered timely. Messages are always returned quickly and never over 24 hours. Located in the Center State Bank building facing Palmetto Park Road just west of Powerline, the office, conveniently has a private entrance from the parking lot, so you don't have to enter the main building. During Tax season, they work Monday - Saturday with a few weekday evenings. The inside of the office is pretty cool, there's some great signed memorabilia on the walls. With Covid, they are taking all precautions. I dropped off my paperwork, and Gina came outside, picked it up, and this year's appointment was scheduled on zoom, which was very convenient. When the work was finished, Gina called, and scheduled a pick up time. It was so easy and painless! Lets face it, no one likes to pay taxes, but when you have someone doing the work that you trust, and know they always have your best interest at stake, it makes the whole experience a little bit easier. But the worst was the $15,000 wall unit that was built in my bedroom where I stressed the importance of my desk area. There was not a single outlet available on that wall to plug in anything so they had to chop up the wall unit so that I could plug in my computer. Wendy was nowhere to be found. While she responded to my emails and texts, she never came back over to the apartment once I arrived to assist in getting any of this resolved. In addition, she attempted to bill me for hours spent looking at furniture before consulting with me. Her "design product" consisted of a bunch of screenshots from Perigold. I immediately fired her and took over the work-- i don't believe Wendy is professionally trained at any level Certainly her care about her clients is lacking.
