So I was really in the mood for some Usagi Yojimbo. I was doing some research on trades I might want. Research for me is putting it in my Amazon cart and then hoping I can find it locally. That was Friday night and the plan was to go out to find it Sunday. I just was like there has to be something closer. I started doing some research. There goes that word again. This time it meant googling and reading reviews. That lead me to this place. I read some cool stuff about the owner. He's an illustrator and makes all his own sticker/shirt designs that you can't get anywhere else. So Sunday rolled around and I went over there. Loved the set up. Nice little oldie but goodie section. Cool collectibles and some great rarities. Guy at the front desk was awesome. I spent a while in there bullshitting. He made some pretty good suggestions. I totaled it up and I could walked out of there spending $300 were I to have gotten everything I wanted in there. Luckily I did not. However I will be back. The collectable Batman '89 figure was there. I'd never seen it in person. Also it's cheaper than it is on the internet. That doesn't normally happen. I'm not into it but there was talk with another customer of board game or D&D nights in the near future. So you should check this place out. It's not huge but it has some cool stuff.

When I challenged him one where he got that quote cause was way off and felt like a insult to me. He stated that's the "book value". Hahaha. Don't think he understands condition affects value and he runs a card shop. Not to mention selling junk cards for $4 each. Another thing is he had all the cards in piles under locked case where you can only look at the top card. How does he expect to sell the cards if we cant see them. I asked to look and he opened up with hesitation. Then had a awkward moment while he watched me right next to case looking with me in every single card in one pile. So odd I refrained from looking more. The quoted card came from this moment and was stored raw without even a penny sleeve. So he has a $120 card raw in a pile in a locked case. What a joke. Card was a damaged poor condition 1968 Topps #45 Tom Seaver. $5-10 recent sales on eBay.

But you can find some decent new releases, variants, and a few gems in the back issue bins at great prices. I picked up one key issue for only a buck! I wasn't impressed with the person running the store, though. My first time there, I was given the cold shoulder, even when I tried to initiate a conversation. Perhaps I caught them on a bad day or at the wrong time; I don't know. I'd like to give it another shot if I'm in town. But we'll see.

It is so amazing to look at all the different character pops; there is really one for anything you can imagine! The sweet owners were so happy to have us there and were one of the nicest people we've ever met. They were helpful in finding us a specific pop and we ended up buying a few more to complete the collection! I even went to the Grammies one year with Rage Against the Machine. The year Dylan won the Grammy, 1997 or 98. Great after party, btw. But I digress. Located on the site of an older, much more modest music store from much earlier, the current owners have remodeled and built up the floor space upstairs and downstairs substantially. 1). this store is packed with vinyl. The bins are full of vinyl, and the walls are covered with collector's vinyl. Stuff even I have not seen. 2). Their Jazz bins are awesome, full of great stuff, including an LP by the late, great Wardell Gray! 3). The Rock Bins are rolling with every kind of music, including folk, rock, new wave, punk, newer rock, you name it, it's probably here. 4). Downstairs is a load of classical music. Amazing! 5). The person running the store, Andrea, was super nice, professional, courteous and kind. Very helpful and personable. Also, knew her stock and offered many suggestions. She and her husband operate this store. I could go on, but in sum, this is by far the best used vinyl record store in all of Philadelphia and it's right here in Delaware County!!!! Also, they have a forty seat amphitheater for live concerts next door! Very proud to write this review. An epic store.

It's a little bit of a drive to have to go to Knauertown (near St. Peter's Village), but definitely worth the trip.

You can find some decent back issues in the bins, but it seems pretty well picked over for the most part. I was impressed with the number of exclusive variants they have stocked in the new release section. If I were looking for a particular issue or variant cover that was somewhat hard to get, I'd probably check here first. The main cashier the day I visited was undoubtedly friendly and welcoming, which I always appreciate.
