I visited here in late summer 2021 and found positive changes, including more focus on comics. When I was traveling back through the area again, I didn't hesitate to stop in with a friend and see how it was going. That was a mistake. Uncanny had to move again to another location in the mall over by Nordstrom. Shop's exterior and interior looks nice, not sure they did the work or the previous tenant did. Space is divided into three rooms. The main area has graphic novels, another houses new pull comics, and a final room is full of longboxes. Except...there's a barricade to the longbox room. My friend was confused and asked about it as we primarily came here for the longboxes. Even after being located here for a month, they don't have them ready. This is unacceptable and I felt bad for the employee, who probably had to tell this to more than one customer. For being in a prestigious location, the King of Prussia Mall, this shop lacks a lot of what it should and most of that is direction. I recommend Showcase Comics and Games in Bryn Mawr and Brave New Worlds in Willow Grove for shops that are well stocked, stable, and reliable.

The King of Prussia Mall is a massive shopping center, but lacked many of the nerdier stores such as Hot Topic, Box Lunch, and Spencers establishments where I can buy cool shirts, figures, and other geeky merch. Uncanny! fills that niche beautifully while also delivering on the experiences I expect from my local comic shop. Uncanny! isn't the largest store, but it makes up for it with excellent space usage. Products are organized neatly into sections from clothes to comics to games. The comic sections are further divided into recent comics, graphic novels, kid comics, and back issues (old/out of print comics). The store is well kept and clean, and the colorful decor makes it feel alive, even when there is no one else shopping. If you are a die-hard collector, you might be disappointed due to the limited availability of items. As mentioned, space is limited, so you might not find some of your old collector issues or rare figurines. But you will find most everything new. If you are looking for something, call ahead. The people here are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are fair, except for the odd retail-exclusive comics that are a bit higher priced than what I've seen in other comic stores. They also offer a loyalty program. Spend X-money, get Y-gift cards. It's pretty simple, free to sign up, and has no expiration. So it's worth your time if you come to the mall every month or so. If you're looking for a gift for that nerdy someone, or just want to pick up the latest DC or Marvel comic, Uncanny! is a fun little stop in your mall shopping experience.

Just the best shop in the Pottstown area for back issue comics and record (vinyl) collectors. I…read morecollect a little of both and have purchased both from Jeff, who is just a great guy to deal with. Jeff will also buy and trade comics and records with you and always gives a fair price. It's a little bit of a drive to have to go to Knauertown (near St. Peter's Village), but definitely worth the trip.

Parking can be a minor issue, as the parking lot in front of the shop is a dead end, and it it's full you will need to turn around and park in the mall parking lot next to the shop. Shop is reasonably large, but not as big as the old location. Has a fair new pull and wall book selection. Longbox selection is good, with a few cheap boxes spread around the shop. Toys and collectibles are light. Golden Eagle seems to concentrate now on Magic: The Gathering with a somewhat large selection. During my stop, a Magic tournament was ongoing, making the shop a little crowded. There is additional gaming space in the back, separate from the main shop. Employees were helpful during my visit, answering several questions. Overall, I'd call this shop a 3.5, but rounding it up to a 4, and worth a stop.

The selection seems to be ok if not a little on the conventional side. There are tons of tables everywhere in the back which immediately told me this store is much more dedicated to the Magic geeks than the comic geeks, like me. This is a real turn off for me as these types of shops usually support more of the card business in this day. More money in that, I guess. So when I asked the counter monkeys for certain non big two books, they looked at me like I spoke a different language. So that confirmed my card thoughts. Bottom line is, this is a Magic store first that just happens to have a large inventory of comic back issues. They clearly do well with their card tournament because they are still open in a lightly travelled mall. The service seems friendly enough and probably knows a ton about Magic cards. Maybe they lack the comic knowledge. If you want Marvel or DC or Magic cards and live near the mall, this might be a decent option. Otherwise, I might try the store in town. They seem to know comics a little better.

They are growing (still growing) company that cares about the community. I have met the owner and seen his vision. He is there from time to time and interacts with his patrons. The staff is really friendly. Now the only downside is the current location. I was there and didn't have a spot to play on a Friday night but that isn't the stores fault. Everyone had their own little groups and pods so as someone who is alone I feel out of place and had to sit at the cafe. The bright side is they are moving to a bigger location if I heard that right so I am excited for the team and company. To sum up the location it's a place you can play video games. You can rent a room/theatre lounge for private events/gathering. You can rent a computer/consoles to play. You can join a community to play card games, they even have board games to use. A really convenient mini grocery store with all kinds of Asian snacks and ice cream. They even sell boba tea.

As I walked around I noticed they even have a selection of Pokémon and other trading card games merchandise. But, Pokemon was the biggest selection over the rest of the TCG merchandise available. That is right up my son's alley. The owner Nick happened to be working when I was in. He was very helpful in locating a few cards that we were looking for. He is even helping us locate a few that he did not have. As he does have a few connections. You can find him also operating a booth at local card shows. The pricing at Corliss cards is extremely fair and reasonable. Everyone deserves to have that special card at just the right place. Ha! I feel that way about antiques. His space is shared with a record store and Jake's Baristas. When I was there Jake's was getting a little facelift, but should be back up and running by early to mid November. I've heard so many great things about Jake's. Jake's baristas is a 501c non profit. Their mission is inclusion revolution. You really have to look them up on social media. They do a lot of great work. They are all about giving back to the community. A majority of the baristas have special needs. This is a fantastic mission! The support Nick gives to the Special Needs community also holds a special spot in my heart as I work with special needs kiddos. This is really a gathering place for people who are interested in board games, Pokemon, Magic the Gathering and the like. There is a small retail presence with collectables, cards and some cool vintage board games, however the largest part of the store is dedicated to game playing, with long banquet tables and chairs where people sit and play. We didn't stay long as there wasn't much for us, however it did seem to be clean and very focused on supporting this social activity. For those interested in Pokemon, Magic the Gathering and other board games, I think this place might be a slice of heaven.
