The minute I walked in I remember why I haven't been here in ages. My money is no good here. It doesn't count, because you're invisible. The one saleswoman said to another customer "we know YOU here", which is not even code for "get out" which was meant for me. With their arms folded, they watched me like a hawk, as if I were going to steal a piece of some overpriced Juliska or Sferra right under their noses. There was one woman who used to work here who was friendly, helpful and funny. She is (understandably) gone now. These women are like trained hounds who can sniff out an adverse zip code in two seconds flat. This store is full of breathtakingly beautiful items, displayed to show their best attributes. Everything is top of the line. The staff are impeccable, genial and warm. While I was looking at sets of 4 coasters for $155 (not a typo- one hundred fifty five dollars), I thought - wow, I want to remember these when they get donated to Goodwill some day. Birthday Twin expressed her thoughts better than I. When they asked how they could help she said "Oh, it's a beautiful store and I am not your customer." Yep, me too. Can I give zero stars?! I hadn't stepped foot in this place in years. I've been taking all of my business to Valley Forge Flowers ever since I was followed aroud TLHS like a criminal with my 10 yo daughter. I was literally trailed around as I was looking for a hostess gift. The person wasn't being helpful just keeping an eye on me! Since that day I refused to enter that store. Unfortunately, I was given a gift from TLHS and knew immediately I was going to return it. It wasn't my style or the correct size. I want in today and was very nice. I was first told I couldn't return it because it was purchased 7 + days prior. Then she changed her mind and said because it was a gift I was able to get the cash back. That changed suddenly when another employee got involved. I was then told I could only get store credit and not even have the money returned to the gift givers card. I absolutely refused store credit because I wouldn't buy a thing from them. I wasn't rude but I was firm. Thankfully, the manager Sam stepped in and refunded the original card. Even though I was originally promised cash back. Suffice it to say I will never return and will tell everyone to avoid as well. Oh I forgot to add that the person who had given me this gift went in with the inten of buying me a pair of earrings she loved. However, when she went to buy them the price had increased by 100% in days. When she questioned this she was met with a shoulder shrug. Never again. read more

My sister's always love to come visit this little shop when they're here in PA. Yesterday we had a lovely lunch out and were planning to spend a few hours at this charming store. I needed to purchase a wedding gift and my sister needed a baby gift. Well we pulled up about 130pm and no one would get out of the car. It was 90 degrees out and this ridiculous stupid store had both sets of doors open. Why would we shop in the heat when all other stores are air conditioned and comfortable? We went elsewhere and found what we needed and shopped in complete comfort. Whoever decided tbe doors should stay open to 90 degree weather caused you to lose 2 sales. read more

Do you live on the Main Line? Did you just get a pay check? Do you have a trust fund? This is a beautiful and very large shop in the Spread Eagle Village complex. It is a gift store, luxury household items store, greeting card store and a little bit of furniture. The items on the whole are quality and for that you will pay. Do you need a gift for someone? You could probably find something here. I was looking for a gift for a gentleman and walked around for over half an hour admiring all the items. It's a little overwhelming. I only found one thing that was a possibility, but then found out the cost of 1 bookend was $99. I think it probably was worth the $99 but that wasn't in my budget. If you've never been here and you're in the area it's worth a visit if you like window shopping. And someone in the store has a black standard poodle. That's okay in my book. read more

They carry a wide selection of items from a huge range of high end designers, including my all time favorite, simon pearce! it is my go to shop for gifts. read more
