I was directed to MB Automotive upon a referral by another area European auto repair shop that didn't have an ability service my particular vehicle. Even the wrecker service used let me know that they've observed MB Automotive to be a 'go-to' for classics similar mine. From the very first phone call to my ultimate return to retrieve my vehicle upon completion of extensive work, the team at MB Automotive was exceptional! Patrick's & Imal's knowledge of European vehicles (even with seemingly obscure issues) is like none I've experienced since Mercedes dealers discontinued servicing certain older models (like mine) many years ago. Communications with both Patrick and Imal were terrific, with both being involved as a team in assessing issues and executing on needed work, including extraordinary efforts to track down difficult to locate parts and ensuring the very best quality parts and workmanship, and taking the time to thoroughly and patiently talk through and answer every question asked (I often have more than my fair share!) and explain any alternative courses of action and recommendations. Just picked up Bella LaFlare aka my car and I'm satisfied. Not only did they keep my car overnight due to me needing to drop off early but they had my car fixed the next day. I also spent less money here than Euro motors even with my Benz needing an auxiliary battery. They didn't try to up charge me or add on unnecessary services and the staff was very friendly through the whole process. MB Automotive has talented mechanics, what you need to repair your German rocket car. Emil spent time on phone with me to remove power for headlight washer that shorted and pumped continuesly. That saved the pump and my time! Owning an older Mercedes requires finding a shop that understands my car and budget. I ask for written estimate before starting work as I would with any garage. Don't trust this service! I just find out.... I had asked Patrick to repair my front break (my dealer suggested to replace the front break), he told me that I don't need the front break fixed and just the back. He offered $575 for the rotor and pad. Well, after several months running, the problem still existed. So, I went my dealer, they told me that I need both front and back breaks fixed. - Basically MBAutoService ONLY replace the rear pad (it would only cost $275 in dealership) at that time! I was royal customer to MBAutoService. It started my suspicious after a couple occasions like A-Services and other repair. If you have a clear case (like broke mirror or replace tires), you might go to their service. Other than that - I think you better end up in dealship although they are expensive but you at least you can trust! read more

This place is terrible! I took my ML500 in to get my brakes checked because the brake lights would not turn off. They advised me I needed new blacks and rotors. They wanted more then dealer wanted and brakes where fine! It was the brake light switch that cost about 15 dollars and dealers replaced free for me. Just avoid this place! It's not worth trying them out for a MB! read more

I've been going here for a few years now, and the team has been the best. I've used most of the dealers in the area, as well as a few other independent shops. I have had service on par with the local dealer at this shop, at about half the cost. The only draw back is that they do not give a free loaner, no big deal, patrick will drop you off at the metro or nearby and if you give him a heads up, he will pick you up when your car is done. Even though I live in Falls Church, I take my Mercedes and Honda cars to MB Auto for service and repair. Initially, I went to them for a second opinion on a costly service. At MB, Patrick discovered that the service needed was not the expensive repair that the other shop gave me an estimate for but a mich less costly repair. MB fixed my problem and I was quite impressed by their integrity. Ihave gone back to MB for routine maintenance and service issues and have not been disappointed. Only negative is that sometimes they get busy and there is a wait to get your car in. read more

My daughter recently moved to the area, for school, and had an issue with her ac on a 90+ degree day. She called me, in NY, for help and I was fortunate to locate MB Auto Services nearby. I described the issue to Imal and he was able to locate parts and had her drop car at 2:00 PM. He offered to drive her home, rather than wait for an Uber, and the ac blower motor was replaced in a few hours. Thanks so much for helping us in our time of need. My first time going to MB Automotive yesterday. The excellent reviews I've read about them before hand are well deserved. Waiting area is clean with several leather chairs and magazines. The garage, hardware tools, and diagnostic tools are kept clean and orderly. Owner was friendly, and takes his time with you. He went over some leaks found and explained what happens if you wait too long to fix it. They have several loaner cars available. If needed, you have to let him know ahead of time. Last by not least, the price they charge is very fair (not only compared to the dealer, but other similar garages that specialize in European cars). This will be my new "Go To" place for all my Mercedes car needs. read more

Imal and his crew helped me out big time when I came to them for a second opinion/quote after I suspected another shop was ripping me off. They were authentic and genuine. They looked at the issue (which the other shop had told me was urgent and made my car unsafe to drive) and pointed out some things that lead us to confirm that the other shop was trying to pull one over on me. I seldom write reviews but the service I received from the folks at MB Automotive was exceptional enough that I feel I need to let the world know how wonderful these people are! Our Mini Cooper blew an engine while my husband was driving it on the highway (it's apparently a fairly common problem with that generation of Minis!) After reading the other reviews on this website, we decided to have it towed to MB, and were not disappointed. They rebuilt the engine, came way under the estimated price. My family and I've been taking our cars to MB Automotive for years. I've had Subarus and VWs and they help keep my car running smoothly. From what I can tell from being in the waiting room they have a good relationship with their customers. They also make sure I have a car or ride of some kind if I need to leave my car over night. Otherwise, I wait in their clean, comfortable waiting room until my car is ready. They never recommend unnecessary service and have good prices. I've had issues after leaving dealership service centers in the past, but not the case here. I basically only trust my car with them. read more

I've been taking my 2002 C230 to Patrick and his team since 2008. They've always been honest and reasonable, with accurate estimates and quality work. Resourceful, thorough and pragmatic enough to separate out needed work from the noise or niceties that a driver might notice or be bothered by, but won't affect the vehicle terribly much. I received an MB Automotive Post Card in the mail and decided to give them a try after SEVERAL horrible experiences at VOB BMW in Rockvile (the worst service and sales company in the history of all that is automotive). I've had nothing but good and honest experiences with Patrick and his team. Every time they say they're going to fix something. They fix it. I haven't had to come back because of a mistake. Seriously - these guys know what they're doing, and they stand behind their work. Their facility is clean - absolutely spotless, not a total wreck, which speaks to the entegrity and pride taken in their service. I took my car to Mb Automotive Services to repair a door (cosmetic). Before he estimated the cost of the door repair he told me that I needed a transmission and the transmission screen needed changing and that my alternator was weak and that I needed tires. I had just gotten my car back from a (REAL MERCEDES DEALERSHIP)the week prior where my tranny fluid, battery,had been replaced as well as having its scheduled maintenance and regular overhaul done. Lo and behold my tranny went out a few days after getting the car back from MB1 No surprise because I suspected he was a crook from the beginning! Mercedes suspects my alternator and tranny have been sabotaged as do I.I am reporting him to The Better Business Bureau. I have also discovered that while he held my car for over a week, he used it for personal transportation and a shuttle to take other customers home , to work and to pick up their carsd!!!! 0000000 Stars for this CROOK! No question, the best repair shop. Used to take my 2000 528 to the BMW dealer in Rockville and then two years ago took it to Patrick and Iman. They found numerous short-cuts that the dealer did, it is amazing the car was running. Mb made my car perform like it was new. Also, much lower cost than a dealer and they stand behind their work. Recently had him replace my BMW stock radio with a Pioneer system. The job they did was perfection. It looks like the radio came with the car and so happy I have integrated Pandora, Sirius, DVD and IPod without a lot of attachments. I even now take my Ford truck to him. I know service when I experience it as I run a very high end luxury company where service is religion. I called MB Automotive after receiving an ad for MINI mechanical services and decided to try it when the front tire of my car started to make a squeaky noise. When I called Patrick and left a message on what seemed a cell phone I was a little puzzled and concerned that I would not get a proper service. However, a gentleman called Patrick called back and told me to meet him or his partner at 9AM there and reassured me that they would drop me back at the metro if I needed to leave the car there. My skepticism however was back when I arrived at MB and saw the front door of looked like more of a warehouse than a dealership specialized in German cars. However I had driven all the way from Chevy Chase and decided to enter the shop. Patrick's partner (Anaan?) quickly came out of the shop to welcome me and took the car in. To cut it short, Anaan spent close to an hour assessing what was wrong, found the source of problem, gave it a temporary fix (moved the front tires to the back), replaced some of the power steering liquid, added cleaning liquid for the wipers, showed me a small leak from a gasket, and told me to call for an appointment to give it a more permanent solution if the noise stopped. When I asked how much I owed him he told me NOTHING. These two gents are honest capable service oriented entrepreneurs who spent years being trained and working at Euromortorcars. They are friendly, accommodating, and if you are like me, an ever skeptical not trusting incompetent car repair shop client, please give these guys a try. They deserve it. Don't be brushed off by the sub-par location, the voice mail on the cell or the outside appearance of the shop (BTW the shop is very clean inside). My wife owns a big Mercedes and we will also take her car there for anything not associated with the car warranty. I will also tell all about it. Keep up the great work! read more
