My wait time to see Dr. Thomsen was about 15 mins after I was weighed which was really good compared to many others. I found that their office ran like a well-oiled machine and I really appreciated that. The transition from check in, to weigh in, seeing the doc and the phlebotomist. I just got a call and it was Dr. Thomsen. She called to give me my test results which was a nice surprise because 1) I didn't expect it to come back so quickly 2) that Dr. Thomsen called me and not a nurse or someone else from the office. She also refused to call to my pharmacy my test strips and lancets, (on these results are my A1-C results) AND she refused to tell me how to adjust my thyroid medication. Her office mgr is black, and I have seen her so kind to other blacks, but not white people like me. I will be reporting this to every official I can find - 9 words for you Thomsen "I WILL NO LONGER COME BACK TO YOU QUACK!"

I had no idea that they focused on affordable/accessible healthcare, and I'll admit that did make me question the quality that I would be getting. However it has ended up being just fine. In fact, I wish a place like this had been available to me when I was uninsured. They treat all people with dignity and respect regardless of income or background, which everyone deserves. The facilities at the Gateway location, which specializes in family medicine and women's health, are clean and updated. It is very easy to schedule appointments and get in and out quickly. The providers are personable and knowledgable. For now, I plan on sticking with them.
