Quote process After doing measurements, Melissa & I walked through what they offered, & quickly came up with a plan for our yard. Once we were done she had a quote to me before she left my driveway, then later followed up to check if I had any questions. Installation Absolutely lightning quick. Melissa & her crew showed up early to get started, I went to drop off my kids at school & they already had my old fence down before I got back (8am). It took them until about 11-11:30 & they were done installing our fence. I was shocked at how quick they worked & the fence looks great. Afterwards Melissa was back to do the inspection & make sure everything was looking good. Long story shorter is that Discount Fence knocked it out of the park at every stage, & what really pushed them over the edge was that they offered a warranty above & beyond anyone else. Once the new fence had been installed, I contacted Great Dane and it became a matter of waiting for it to stop raining. We needed at least two rain-free days. It is recommended that we restain the wood every 24 months and I suspect Great Dane will be doing that job.

Customer service at Armstrong, the stain we used, suggested reapplying and wiping off after 24 hours (Dane's wiped off the same day, hence the problem). The owner came out to evaluate, but seemed reluctant to do the other coat because at the time, we'd both thought it looked good with just one (but I'm no expert and didn't know it needed to sit so long). Said he'd call Armstrong himself. That was in July. Never heard back. It's now October. Wasted $1,000.

Last year we interviewed several contractors for our privacy fence project and decided to go with…read moreW&D Fence. Guiellermo, the owner, is trustworthy, stands by his promises, and builds a really nice fence. Since it was a custom privacy fence with an electric dual gate, the project had its challenges. We used pictures of similar fences to frame what we wanted and then put our own touches to the design. It did take a few field adjustments during construction but his guys were on top of it and the overall finished project is outstanding. A big plus is that our neighbors seem to be happy with it and we have received many compliments on both the look and uniqueness. Something not to be overlooked , is that W&D has not hesitated to come back and make some minor gate adjustments, after the fence has settled it. That is a rare thing in today's construction industry. Highly recommended W&D and hope you share your photos when complete.

There are a whole slew of reasons I'm giving this company 1 Star. First off, the owner Todd would…read morenot come look over the job beforehand so we were on the same page. Second, he is dishonest about pricing. Third, as the owner, you are responsible for your employees. His worker damaged the paint on my siding using gorilla tape instead of blue painters tape. Not just 1 area, the whole bottom plank adjacent to my porch. We won't even get into the names he called my wife (cuss words) when she called to have the job finished. The job is still not finished. I'm in a service oriented business who recommends good fellow contractors and Todd is not one of them. I have documented the way he spoke to me & my wife & have documented the damage. The job is still not finished & we are to the point we don't even feel safe having Todd back over. Save yourself the trouble & use someone else. Oh & he's been paid in full.
