After meeting with Garret, I was so impressed with his professionalism and knowledge of fencing, that I was feeling good about his vision. Similar to what other reviewers have mentioned, the estimate for Campbell's was extremely affordable, and significantly below other estimates and anecdotal knowledge from my friends who have recently had similar work done installing fences around their homes. The work was completed according to the original timeline, and Garret coordinated with my other two neighbors on their shared costs, so I didn't have to worry about collecting their payments, etc. With so many options available for fence installation, I hope this review saves others some unnecessary research -- the other reviews for Campbell's are accurate, as these guys do quality work, on-time, and very price-competitive. Edward and his team did an amazing job. They were very understanding of our need to have a fence installed quickly to protect our dogs and came out within days of our first meeting. They provided quality wrought iron fencing materials and went over and beyond the contract. They welded additional bars at the bottom where the topography changed elevation to prevent the dogs from escaping or digging their way out. There is no need to install unsightly chicken wire at the bottom of a beautiful wrought iron fence! Also, the installers were able to communicate with us very well and they were on time every day. After needing a new fence for years, once part of it finally fell down, we knew it was time. After getting a few quotes, we contacted Campbell's Quality Fence on the recommendation of my co-worker. Eddie, the owner, quickly got back to us with a quote, and it was more than 40% cheaper than a local fence company that has been in business for over 50 years. We had a quote from that same company in 2013, and the price had risen 70% in 10 years. Inflation is a real thing, but that is ridiculous. Eddie and his crew arrived on time the day of the installation and quickly got to work. They completed the entire cedar fence with a gate in a day and returned the next day to finish cleaning up. There was also a small retaining wall running along the north side of the fence. For a very reasonable small fee, his crew dismantled it and hauled it away. Eddie is honest and fair, and he worked with us every step of the way to make sure we were going to be happy with the job, and we certainly are. Eddie Campbell and I played a long string of phone tag before we were able to work out a day and time for us to get an estimate for some fence replacement. He came by Friday late afternoon a little over a week ago. Since hubby & I are still recovering-our 26 yr old grandson walked the yard with him. We wanted one side completely replaced, the front sections on either side of the house replaced, a new gate and removal of our back fence and clean up of the bramble, vines and weeds that resided in between that fence and a separate neighbors fence. Campbells built us an awesome fence! We got quotes from 3 different companies and his was the best based on what all was included (wood picket fence, metal posts, two gates, haul away the old junk). We had some delays due to rainy weather but Eddie was quick to get the 811 done and schedule the work. The entire job took a little more than 2 days but we've got some odd dips and bumps in our yard so I'm not surprised. The crew was capable and did a great job of adjusting over the uneven ground. No damage to any sprinkler heads or trees near the fence line and they were even able to work carefully past a tree which has a birds nest and baby birds in it. We battled a series of heavy rain schedule changes (can't pour concrete in torrential rain. Can't weld without killing yourself either) but it wasn't a big deal (a few days shifted). Well, you live and you learn. I'd say, with any company that works with contractors - get as specific as you can, agree on images, get it in writing, and be around to monitor. Our fence actually had to get totally taken down and redone. In total, we had 4 difference crews out at the house. - original crew, very low professionalism, very poor craftsmanship - second crew, worked 1 day and quit the job - third crew, put up new fence but had to work around first crew's posts - forth "crew" stained the fence. My tiny fence took months from start to finish and ended up not looking quite like I had expected from the picture I shared. I gave an "ok" since the fence was redone and stained but if I were to start over, things would be different. Be careful out there, y'all! read more

Currently, we are working with Eddie and one of our neighbors to fix a side of the fence that his workers installed that covered up 4 sprinkler heads. His workers were told to stop when I realized they were putting the fence in different than they took it down. They didn't stop, but rather continued installing the fence that now needs to be moved due to the irrigation issues. We are hopeful that Eddie will redo this one side of the fence. To be continued. I will keep you all posted on the resolution of this issue. UPDATE AS OF 8/17/2020 and response to Eddie's comment below: Let's recap: 1) Your men began to re-install the fence the opposite way it came down which messed up our hardscaping by adding 6 inches of grass to it from our neighbor's yard. 2) I told your workers to stop with that side of the fence until it was resolved. 3) They did not stop at my request. 4) You came out in person to address the issues that were created 5) You kept saying you would flip the fence, but that it would be troublesome for your guys and that we should "tip" them 6) I said that I wouldn't pay them additional to fix their mistake 7) I asked you to tell me what would be the easiest for you - either contribute $100 to supplies to fix my flowerbed or flip the fence as you suggested 8) YOU said contributing $100 would be easier for you 9) My husband and I planned to do the manual labor ourselves to fix the problem UNTIL we purchased supplies and went to start the work and realized 10) Your guys put the fence on top of 3 of our neighbor's sprinkler heads AND one of our neighbor's sprinkler heads was completely in our yard. 11) We went back to our neighbor, who at this point had paid you 100% of the money owed. 12) She shared the new problem with you concerning the irrigation 13) YOU said, ok, we will come back and flip the fence and I want my $100 back 14) We said "fantastic" we have the money for you since we will no longer need it to fix the flower bed if you will fix the fence. We thought that this was a done deal that we were all going to be happy with. 15) And it wasn't until you realized two days later that the fence could not simply be "flipped" due to the slope of the ground between our homes . YOU COMPLETELY WENT BACK ON YOUR WORD TO US. THIS, SIR, IS WHY YOU WILL RECEIVE A ONE STAR RATING. IF I COULD HAVE GIVEN YOU ZERO STARS, I WOULD HAVE. You have left us with a fence that now needs irrigation work and flower bed work. Do not tell me that your crew is so new to this that they didn't see the sprinkler heads or realize that they were screwing up a flower bed. You, sir, are the fence professional. I submitted a quote request and got a message a few minutes later. Someone showed up a few hours later. The guys that did the work were polite and quick. It was almost 100 outside, and they just keep digging holes, and they replaced virtually all the fence in one day. They just came the next day to finish and take their tools. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me; fool me 15 times and for 5 months, shame on me, especially you!! I am going to have an attorney to sue this company in the next week, as I am fed up with the lies and lies that shows this company and Eddie Campbell has no credit and responsibility to his customers. I used Campbell's Quality Fence to replace my old fence on 10/12/2022. The owner Eddie Campbell was the one that handled everything starting day one. The first day I noticed that the fence post holes his crew digged were too small: you can see the picture that diameter of the holes is merely a half length of my foot! Luckily, I found the issue before they pour the concrete into the holes and I asked them to extend the holes. Secondly, the very first day their crew broke my pool pipe when they dig the post holes around the pool. Then the next day he came and found that his crew also broke the pipe line of my pool lights, so he called someone to stop the water leakage. However, the guy he called to come over cut the pool light cable/piple, and only put a cap on one side of the pipe to stop the water leakage, and leave the other end of the pipe (with cut pool light cable, see the picture) just as it is. Then they put the dirt back to fill the hole. So this damage leaves my pool light not working, also put a huge risk of electric shock/short circuits, as the end of the broken electricity wires (still connected to the electricity supply) was not sealed/protected, and it was just buried under the ground!! Eddie said he has a budget that fixing the pipe/light will cost him an extra amount, which he said he didn't make much on this project (come on, I paid around 10k$), so if I can share some cost of repairing the pipe/light. So I paid an extra 400$ to cover this extra expenses, and he told me that my extra $400 was everything it would take to fix the pipe/light in the next week. So I made a big mistake (please don't make this mistake if you see my post here): I paid the full amount of invoice, which was around 10k$ to Eddie. The second week, I was shocked that he said I need to pay another 200$ if I want it to get it fixed (wtf?), as he underestimated the cost of fixing the pipe/light. Anyway, I thought I already spent around10k$ on the fence and ok, I wanted to settle this asap for another $200 without worrying about the electric shock risk. Then my nightmare began. Eddie Campbell kept using all the excuses to not showing up to fix it. Here is Eddie Campbell's response history: 10/20/2022: He said the electrician is out of town (not available) 10/26/2022: He said the pool light was already ordered and will come in one week 11/3/2022: He said He couldn't reach the electrician 11/9/2022: He said the electrician just had an oral surgery and needs rest and couldn't come 11/11/2022: He said he still couldn't reach the electrician. He also said if the electrician still doesn't respond to him, he will find another electrician to fix it 11/18/2022: He said he is contacting the second electrician, and will come over after Thanksgiving 12/5/2022: He said don't worry, he is working on it 12/14/2022: He said he is meeting the fourth electrician tomorrow and will let me know the status 12/15/2022: He said the fourth electrician will come to fix it before Christmas 1/5/2023: He said AGAIN the light was ordered and an electrician is arranged to fix it once the light is arrived 1/19/2023: He said the light was back ordered until March 3/2/2023: He said he and the electrician will come to fix it after the Spring break (3/13-3/17 3/20/2023: He said he is still contacting the electrician 3/21/2023: He said he couldn't reach the electrician (sounds like a familiar excuse, right? Unfortunately I hired this company to replace part of the fence in my yard. Once payment was received, I could not get anyone to come back to fix issues even though they offer a two year warranty. Rather useless to offer it if no one ever comes back to do any repair. I eventually got tired of waiting on them to do any repairs and hired another company to finish the job. Mr. Campbell was super responsive and came out right away and gave me a quote on the spot for our back fence that was beginning to sway from broken posts. I had two other fence companies come out and I chose another one, just because it had a larger number of reviews on Yelp, even though their quotes were in the same ball park. I was supposed to have the other company come out sometime in the next two weeks to do the repair, BUT then last night we had a big thunderstorm in Round Rock with high winds, and part of my fence came down. :( I frantically called the company I had chosen and asked if they could come out asap. They said no. Then they said the soonest they could come out would be at the end of the week. I explained that we were leaving town this weekend and that our back fence is part of the perimeter fence for our whole subdivision. If our fence is down over the weekend, while we're not home, it would be a safety issue for all our neighbors. Well, even after hearing my sob story, they said that the end of the week was the fastest they could get there and even then, the repair might take an extra day going into Monday...and "good luck getting anyone else to come out today." GIANT waste of time.My time. Started off well, spoke with Edward Campbell and he was knowledgeable and responded to my inquiry quickly.I liked his manner and he indicated that they could get to work soon after he pulled a permit from the city if we were ready to sign up. That was where the positives ended. I called Edward back as i wanted the specifics of the job. I asked him to send me the break down of the materials and labor, just as i had received from Viking and K2 Fencing. Edward told me he was writing my name down as he had a list of clients that day who he was working with. He sounded incredibly busy but told me he would get me the numbers that night when he got home. I did not receive the numbers-ever. Instead he called me back as if nothing had happened and asked if he could meet with us at our house to look over the job. Because i liked his style and he seemed genuine i agreed to have him meet with us. He cancelled the day of our Appointment because he said he hurt his ribs using a floor jack. He asked if we could meet the following day. We agreed to meet. We spoke midday and he asked if i was working from home because he was in our area about 5 hours earlier than our scheduled appointment. I told him no because i was at work,were we good at our scheduled time of 5-6 PM. He said he would be there. I get a text at 6:11 PM saying he was in an area at least an hour away and if we could reschedule at a mutual location on another day? I left work early to accommodate his schedule. Bottom line is how can i trust him or his Company to fulfill his promises/commitments when he cannot even do what he commits to doing? I am happy that he has so much business and am happy i am not going to be paying to install a new fence for thousands of dollars with a bunch of empty promises, missed deadlines or worse. read more
