This is the second year I've used McFirewood and like last year Milton provided impeccable service and high quality wood at a good price. I opt for the slightly more expensive Almond wood because harder wood burns longer and therefore last longer...and I also love the scent. It also burns cleaner with less smoke. The pine smells amazing, too by the way and is a good option for something lower priced, although it doesn't burn quite as long... thus the price difference. He delivered 1/2 a cord to my house and carefully and very neatly (and quickly) stacked the wood perfectly. The wood is nice and dry and he explained to me that the almond wood is left to dry for 14 months before he delivers it, which is why it burns so well. And he always sweeps up afterwards. My God where do I even begin, I guess for starters I inquired about wood for my smoker, I had decided on almond wood as that's what this guy had. But for an entire week he kept telling me to do one day & come that day he would all of a sudden change the day as he now had deliveries to do which quite frankly should have been addressed before he said to do that day. So that happened about 2 times & I finally said OK you tell me what day works for you & I'll see if I can make it work. No response for over 4 days. I finally said forget it, this is ridiculous. If you're looking for a reliable firewood or bbq wood supplier look elsewhere, this guy will lead you on & every time you message him you get left on read. I found MC firewood by chance. I had a normal supplier for firewood over the past couple of years. I mistakenly called them when I had plans to call my original supplier. I was surprised the prices were so reasonable and they were so nice on the phone. I thought maybe business is slower in the summer. On the day of delivery he calls and texts me with updates on when he will be there. He arrives and was so courteous. He stacks the wood perfectly and offers to sweep up the floor.
