Trying McAllister's deli was a bit of a surprise, as I had no idea that this was a chain. The restaurant was clean and while there was a long line the counter servers worked quickly to get everybody's order. The restaurant offers table delivery on dining in orders, and our server was very pleasant and make sure that we had everything that we needed Complementary parking is available at the restaurant. Refills on drinks to go are also offered. We enjoyed a wonderful club sandwich, and a New Yorker, which was pastrami on rye. As a native New Yorker I was a little, worried that I would be disappointed, but the sandwich was wonderful, warm, and tasted just like home! I would highly recommend McAllister's for a wonderful deli experience. read more

There was an Unbelievable wait time for food. The staff didn't seem to be aware of the problem.

We waited 45 minutes for a takeout order (2 sandwiches). It was not busy in the restaurant. The staff did not seem bothered to make or deliver any of the food quickly, even once we asked for them to check on the order. We did appreciate that the manager was very apologetic and gave us a full refund. read more

We were crowed with dirty tables all around and not one worker behind the counter was doing a thing. Every customer in the restaurant was complaining and had been waiting for at least an hour with no service. Many people left before ordering and many went to the counter to cancel their orders because of the horrid state of the restaurant and the staf. Management was also no where to be found. My family really liked this place and wished there was one at hoMe. I had the Turkey pepper jack and Mac and cheese. The Mac was definitely stouffers or at least tasted identical bjt the sandwich was amazing. My son had the spicy Turkey and he said it was the best sandwich he's maybe ever eaten. We also got the cookies. Sugar cookie was great but chocOlate chip was too hard for my taste. Hubby got the same sandwich as Me plus a spud and he ate it all. Love the Savannah chopped salad (I add avocado), it's my favorite salad to order every time I go to McAlister's. My boyfriend and I were looking for a good restaurant that had a salad and sandwich. We were driving through town and their menu looked amazing. He had the chicken Caesar salad, which was a very large portion and I had the pick two the New Yorker sandwich and the, strawberry chicken salad. Everything was very good and fresh! I gave the cashier Dina our order four times. FOUR. The order was still wrong, and contained ingredients my husband is allergic to. This is the third time we have been to this restaurant and third time our order was wrong. The restaurant is staffed with young teenagers on their phones and totally uninterested in getting orders correctly done. I can see why they have so many bad reviews. 0/5 rating from us. read more

Last time we will try McAlister's Deli. On the road for 3 days, tired, hungry. Dropped in for take out for vegie bake potatoes/salad. Got our food, took back to our room and discovered that only one of the potatoes had vegies. There was no cheese on the potatoes. Yes, we should have opened our bag, taken out each container and looked at our food before we left. We trusted that what we ordered would be there. The place was empty, not busy. There was plenty of time to make sure the food was as we requested and that was a mistake. The potatoes were 9 dollars each! And one had nothing on it. Unbelievable. Waited in line for 10 minutes in a mostly empty restaurant before any of the staff spoke a word to me. Several looked at me but didn't acknowledge me in any way. My prior visit wasn't much better - they forgot both of the side orders. That makes two of the three times I've ate there poor experiences. Had a bite to eat on the way home from visiting my father in law. The people at the counter were very friendly and patient with us. I ordered the chicken Cesar wrap with Mac and cheese. It was great! My husband ordered the southwest turkey melt and he liked that it had guacamole but he was bummed that it didn't have green chile and felt it was kind of bland. We ordered the kid's pizza for our son and he only ate two bites, but he is a toddler after all. I really liked the sweet tea. We got a brownie and some cheesecake and chocolate cake to go. The brownie was super yummy with chocolate chip chunks inside of it. We are going to eat the cake later tonight. We will definitely be back when we visit our dad. Cheers! read more

McAlister's doesn't have typical "deli" food, but they do have a large selection of sandwiches, salads, baked potatoes, and more lunch/dinner items. You order at a counter, but they have plenty of tables for you to eat at. For me, the most important thing is that they have GLUTEN FREE and VEGAN ITEMS. I wish that they had dairy free items, because when I ordered my food without dairy (a loaded potato) they just garnished it with meat and left the veggies off. It was all still very good and fresh food. I recommend it! read more

Think of Panera, only a bit different and much cooler. McAlister's Deli is just that. The service is hit or miss though depending on the time of day you go and who might be working. Also, the bread bowls differ from day to day. My husband and I went in for lunch awhile back and the bread bowl was not the same type of fluffy sourdough bread. Otherwise, the mac and cheese they make is amazing. I wish could buy their honey mustard dressing they use for their sandwiches. read more

For what it is, it's a fine place to eat. I'm not a fan of delis in general, but at least here their portions are very generous and the staff is very friendly. The place is also very clean. It's not trying to be a world class eatery, but they do well at what they are attempting to do. Definitely worth a visit. Only thing I'd definitely recommend: don't get applesauce. I was hoping for homemade or something decent. I got a stupid cup of applesauce like I was 3 years old. Almost want to change the review to 3 stars remembering that. read more

She has to be told to take my order, the other staff member asking her "what's your problem? You sick or something?" Last Friday we walked in, went to order, and as we started to give our order, the supervisor on duty, "Bobby" pulled our cashier to the side. He gruffly said to the cashier that someone else could take our order, he needed to speak to the employee immediately. He didn't pull him aside or go anywhere else- they had a confrontation directly behind the cash register. As another associate started to take our order, the supervisor started speaking to the original cashier in a very harsh tone and began to yell. Again, this is right behind the cash register in plain sight. As the supervisor was yelling at this employee in the middle of a packed restaurant with a line growing at lunch time, I was so distracted I couldn't even finish my order. I said it was extremely inappropriate to speak to an employee that way, especially in front of customers- I was ignored. The issue that was so important to yell at an employee in front of customers- he was asking the employee to work his days off, even thought the employee said multiple times he couldn't because he had plans set for a long time. It made us very, very uncomfortable to see this interaction unfold. I took my two small children to a table while my husband finished giving the order since we needed to eat and get them back to school and go back to work. As the supervisor made the rounds, he ignored our table completely, probably because we were direct witnesses to his disgusting behavior and voiced our concerns. I have called to give the survey response, asked to be contacted and I haven't heard anything. This is quite upsetting and it's terrible that McAlisters refuses to even acknowledge the issue. read more

Our first time at a McAlister's. Food was fine, very good selection to choose from: soup, salad, many sandwiches, even a wrap or two. I like the "choose two" where you select two half portions. Service was efficient and our food was delivered straight to our table after ordering at the counter. read more
