If anyone planning to go check the prices first. I wish I could give better. But no sadly no. We came here my husband, sons and me. It was in Jan. We wanted to eat good Mexican food, sadly we didn't like it and left with not a good taste, specially when we got back home from our trip I looked at my receipt and compared the prices and all were off. And servers need to speak English, and stop speaking Spanish when no one of my family speaks Spanish. We order a molcajete they forgot the chorizo , we asked for it and we regretted to ask for it. That was not a good chorizo didn't even look like chorizo. Looked and tasted like can pet food. One of my sons order a Carne à la Tampiquena what a bad choose. The meat was hard and usually a tampiquena has grill onions , grilled poblano or bell peppers did not have any. I asked the server said doesn't come with it. What? .... The other two kids order combos and rice was not good. So going back to the price. The peces on the table menu, online menu and our printed receipt are way off. I have pictures I compare apples to apples only with our dishes we paid for and we got over charged about $7.00 not a lot but is quite extra. What made me check the prices? When we asked for our check the server came and said is this much holding the credit card machine. I said can I see the bill? She rolled her eyes printed the bill and give it to us and walked away. I looked and just wanted to make sure we have the correct items we order. She came back we paid even give her tip after all. Then we got back to our hotel to finish our trip..... Back home I did check each and I was very unhappy with this place. Never again. OWNER of this place needs to Review all prices from each menu platform. We didn't have beers, makes me think this place is over charging anyone consuming alcoholic drinks. read more

Our oldest son was stationed at FLETC and recommended this restaurant to us. We were greeted and seated pretty quickly. The restaurant was pretty empty so we had EXCEPTIONAL service and the food was EPICALLY DELICIOUS. I had the fajitas and there was so much food that we wished we could've taken it home but due to the limited amount of time we couldn't. It was so tasty, fresh, and authentic. As my wife and 2 small children waited for a seat the hostess came from the back made eye contact with our party and rolled here eyes shrugged her shoulders and groaned loudly. I had a craving for some authentic Mexican food and I was hoping this place would do it. It may have satisfied my craving for some tacos but it wasn't the best. The tacos could have used some more cilantro and onions. I also would have liked to have more meat in the tacos. Green enchiladas were delicious & so were the beans & rice. John enjoyed his combo plate of Chile Relleno, toco, & enchilada. Could have been cleaner, but we were there right after a busy lunch hour or at least that was what I was thinking. Waitress was friendly & attentive. I've tried this place three times and every experience was bad. My latest experience will be my last due to the grilled rubber bands, mop water sweet tea and 28 dollar micheladas. Literally they were $28 each...... I guess it was a good tactic to remove the price from the menu so guests would still order it. I just spend almost $80 on a shrimp cocktail, bad carne asada and two micheladas...... when I told the waitress about the grilled rubber they all went to the back and laughed about it. Tried this place for the first time. It was lunch on a Monday, after 12pm. Another restaurant named Alma's that is awesome is closed on Mondays so my uncle decided to take me here for lunch. Hardly any cars at lunch which was the first sign I should leave. We walk in, place has only a few tables but we still have to wait a good five minutes for someone to come seat us. We look at the buffet they offered and everything looked dried out and almost burned. I looked at the scrambled eggs and they were yellow. I flipped them over and they were bright underneath which told me they leave food up until it's gone, not to feed people fresh food. We ordered hamburgers instead. Menu is big and prices are handwritten on the menu and hard to read. Simple items were priced high. Burgers were almost $14. While waiting on food, they brought us chips and salsa. Had to add a lot of salt to salsa because it was so underseasoned. When we were done, the waitress brought us another bowl of salsa but left us with the empty chip basket so that was a waste of more salsa since we couldn't eat the second bowl. Burgers came out looking decent. Had to ask for ketchup, mustard and mayo because they didn't bring any and nothing was on the burger. First bite and patties were DRY. Opened burger and patties were burned. Waitress asked how everything was and we told her that it wasn't very good. She just said sorry and walked away. Never offered to correct it and never told management. When we left to pay, owner herself asked how everything was. We told her the problems and she just said sorry. Didn't adjust bill or offer anything else. Just charged us full price and thanked us for coming. I will NEVER return to this restaurant. How hard is it to just cook a burger? read more

This is by far the best Mexican food in town! It beats La Fonda hands down and do NOT listen to negative reviews of the food quality! However, two issues that I have with this restaurant is that they charge high prices (much like many restaurants these days. A family of 5 will probably cost anywhere between 50-70 dollars to feed! Also ordered 'Filete Tilapia a la Vera Cruz' but fish wasn't fresh and had that 'bottom of the sea', frozen too long taste...if the tilapia was fresh, it would have been great! This place looks great as you walk in. It's marked by bright colors and paintings of agave plants. Once you enter, the staff is incredibly nice and quick to seat you. That said, though the name of the restaurant would imply an either creative or extensive tequila menu, they serve no alcohol. The wait staff is very helpful and friendly, but their salsa is aggressively mediocre, and their chile con queso melted Velveeta with chiles. I ordered the green agave burrito with carnitas, which looked fantastic on the menu. What appeared to be a burrito smothered in a bright green chile sauce arrived with more cheese than the brown, flavorless sauce it was smothered with. The carnitas was also lacking in flavor, with the predominant burrito flavor being iceberg Lettuce. This only changed when I reached the end of the burrito where they stashed all the sour cream. Overall, the food was flavorless, bland, and a huge disappointment. The second star is for the kind people and good service. read more

This is good food, fast at a reasonable price. Our server was attentive and polite. We had a burrito that was as big as a shoe! A delicious shoe covered in tasty sauce and cheese. Update: I gave this place a five star review because of the quality of the food. On top of the fact that being stuck here on FLETC doesn't really leave me with many options. The food here is delicious, my fav was the t bone. Ive ordered from this place at least 12 times and in the last time I ordered. A new lady picked up the phone and made me repeat my credit card information 3 times. I was a little suspicious because this has never happened before but I let it go. Days later my credit card information and shopped at different online stores. I filed a police report and when the detective showed up at the restaurant. The manager refused to see her. I called the restaurant and Cindy was very nice and helpful. She was very apologetic however the manager is not a man of his words. Never heard from him. read more

Not the experience we expected based on other reviews. If you're looking for an authentic margarita this is not it. They use bottled premade mix and for the liquor they use wine.
