a parking lot with cars parked in it

Popped in to puck up lunch on a Sunday afternoon at 1ish. It was super crowded. An option is to order online and pick up in the drive-thru. That would be my suggestion if you are ordering to go. So the resturant tables were mostly full, there were 6 to 8 folks ahead of me in line waiting to order and 5 or 6 folks waiting for their to go orders. All in all took me about 30 to 35 minutes to get thru the line and then wait for my order. But it was worth it. I ordered 3 pick twos, 1. Savannah Chopped Salad with raspberry pecan dressing, no cucumbers, no tomatoes and a Half Harvest Chicken Salad Sandwich, no tomato. Pickle on the side 2. Savannah Chopped Salad. Half French Dip. Pickle in the side. 3. Potato soup and a grilled chicken wrap with no honey mustard. 4. A grilled chicken Ceasars wrap with potato salad. All the food was excellent and even with the special requests it was all correct. Only missing item was the au jus for the French dip sandwich. My potato soup was hot and great flavor and the wrap was fresh and tasty. Others enjoyed their salads and my hubby really liked the chicken Ceasar wrap and thought the potato salad was great. Easy parking and staff were pleasant and efficient. I will go again, and order ahead for take out

New Yorker with all Pastrami on Ciabatta

What a great place. Starting with walking in and the place was clean, had friendly associates and the music was at a great level and wonderful selection. The menu was fabulous and had a hard time choosing. I got the New Yorker, with all pastrami in a ciabatta roll and potato salad. My husband got the Rueben with all pastrami on rye and potato salad. Both sandwiches were piled high with meat, had the perfect amount of cheese and condiments and the potato salad was delicious. Definitely will be going back. If your looking for a good deal, I recommend the 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 salad for $9.99. Thank you to the nice folks working there. Enjoyed our lunch tremendously.

Food is always good and portioned generously. When I go through the drive through, they always get it right. Servers are courteous and attentive. Nice quick spot to get a bite to eat!

Newly opened restaurant in Jtown, close to the center of the square and across the from Recbar…read more First thing to know - they have chicken and salad with chicken, but they do not have burgers. Their burgers are "chicken" burgers or veggie. The promotion of burgers is confusing and a little disappointing. Chicken tender combos come with fries, one side and drink. The chicken burger was also tenders but tossed on a bun with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mayo. Several sauces are offered for dipping your chicken. The combo #1 was a good value. The tenders were hot and had enough peppering to make the flavor interesting. We enjoyed the fries, which reminded us of eating at school ballparks. Sides are small but offer a few bites and I liked the slaw (although it looked different than the menu image). My husband shared the green beans were peppery. My Fanta lacked flavor. The chicken burger was enjoyed by my son but since he didn't really want the toppings, he basically had the same meal as my combo #1 for more money and without the side. Service was helpful and polite. We appreciated them checking on us and being willing to offer recommendations. They have plenty of parking in a private lot and several tables inside. Cute decor. When walking in, the space didn't smell great -- likely a plumbing issue because it otherwise appeared very clean and organized. Drive thru also available. I'd come back for a quick bite of chicken tenders or pick up, but the ambience doesn't quite hit for it being at the top of our family hang out.

Everything was absolutely delicious, but the burnt ends appetizer was the standout--our waitress recommended it, and she was spot on. They were incredible! What made the experience even better was the outstanding service. Our waitress was so kind, patient, and calm with our young boys, which made our meal relaxing and enjoyable. The entire staff was welcoming and attentive, creating a warm, family-friendly atmosphere from the moment we walked in. The restaurant has a fun, inviting vibe that perfectly complements the amazing food. Between the exceptional service, great atmosphere, and unforgettable meal, The Eagle has earned a permanent spot on our list of must-stop places whenever we're passing through Louisville. We can't wait to come back!

We had high hopes based on Eagle Louisville's stellar Yelp score. But we walked away disappointed…read morebecause of a major service lapse, curious food seasonings and discrepancies between menu descriptions and actual dishes. We arrived mid-afternoon on a Friday. We had a choice between sitting inside or being seated at a picnic table on the covered deck. We were assigned a high-top table in the dining area past the bar, where a few guys were watching a soccer match. The brine-soaked fried chicken is Eagle's specialty, so we ordered it. I thought the chicken was good,. So per the menu for the three-piece fried chicken meal, you can only order either all white meat or all dark meat. Interestingly, the two people at our table that ordered white meat still got a drumstick with their meat. The last I checked, drumsticks were considered dark meat. For an appetizer, we ordered the hush puppies. They had a nice crunchy texture but were very spicy hot. We also ordered the spoonbread. This was my favorite dish of the day. It was served warm, had a great texture and a light maple flavor. With our meals, we could get two sides. We requested the collard greens, green beans, fries, grits and mac & cheese. Only the mac & cheese was good. The collard greens were way salty and the green beans had odd and unexpected seasonings. Our dining companion was put out, and understandably so, that the menu said the grits came with white cheddar cheese. But instead, though the grits maybe had cheese, they were also loaded with loads of diced jalapeno. They were so over the top spicy, none of us could eat the grits. The fries were strongly seasoned with oregano. WTF? Our entrees came with biscuits. The biscuits were tasty, but unfortunately, because they contained too much shortening, fell apart when buttering them. And that leads up to the service lapse. After we received our check, our server completely disappeared. We waited a half hour for her to re-appear, gave up and asked another server to cash us out. He disappeared and we waited some more. Finally the red-headed server re-appeared and breezily explained she had been out on the deck the whole time. No apology or anything.
