Place my order online for pick up at the window. The sandwiches were just that, sandwiches. Nothing special or over the top. My items were done correctly and the young lady at the window was nice and friendly. I wouldn't recommend the chicken tortillas soup... the only thing that said it was chicken tortilla is the coloring. Not real flavor.. oh and whoever made our sandwiches, they were very heavy handed with the sauces! It was dripping mustard!! read more

After standing at the stand for 12 minutes, while three young women attempted to figure out how to sell another customer a gift card, and then again AFTER an employee approached the register to place his order, I finally attempted to order a menu item by name: Grilled Chicken Salad. The giggling adolescent insisted I tell her if I wanted a salad or a sandwich. I replied, "You don't have a Grilled Chicken Salad Sandwich." She insisted that "yes we do! We have it on salad or sandwich. Which do you want?" She was clearly thinking of the mayonnaise laden salad, so I repeated, I want a GRILLED Chicken Salad." She then, clearly exasperated, asked a co-worker to take over. Said co-worker proceeded to ask the same question, the same way, insisting they serve a Grilled Chicken Salad Sandwich with a very antagonistic and haughty attitude. The fact that I said "no croutons" to the giggling adolescent apparently wasn't the clue it should've been. After I finally completed my order, I studied the menu on the wall. Unsurprisingly, they DON'T have a Grilled Chicken Salad Sandwich. When one of the young women approached the table to ask if we needed anything (the same woman who took an employee's order instead of mine even though even he acknowledged I had been standing there first,) I asked her to point out the Grilled Chicken Salad Sandwich on the menu. She, of course, could not. She made some excuses to the tune of, "When they hear chicken salad, they think of the Harvest Chicken Salad because hardly anyone ever orders the Grilled Chicken Salad." REALLY?! Because in the four times we've been in thar restaurant previous to this disaster, we've always ordered one and NO ONE has been confused! Not popular?! I've been in two other McAlister's since that day, and pilled that popularity. As salads go, it's one of the MOST popular at both of them. So on top of ARGUING WITH A CUSTOMER WHO ORDERED A MENU ITEM BY NAME, this twit insulted my intelligence. She didn't apologize, and went back into the kitchen and discussed our exchange with ALL of the staff, including the giggling adolescent who grinned her head off as if her abject ignorance had just been validated. My wife and I went there recently with our 2 adult grandsons and their girlfriends. One of the grandsons wanted the giant spud and was told the only ones they had were being held for someone who MAY order one online so he couldn't have one. I asked if they were sure that someone was going to order one. No, not sure she said. So, you're refusing to sell one to someone standing in front of you on the maybe that an online order MIGHT come in. "Yessir, that's the policy" We went again this past Labor Day. My daughter and SIL, Our grown grandson, my wife and I. 4 out of 5 of us wanted a baked potato. AGAIN we were told that potatoes were being served for phone in orders. Excellent sandwiches and jacket potatoes. The range of sandwiches was good and the choice of sides were plentiful. The BLT with A was really good and the others in my party enjoyed the meatier options. The half and half is a great idea with half a sandwich with half a salad or potato. 6 of us showed up for a late lunch and I have to say we were all very impressed with Collin. He was polite, funny and genuinely nice. I haven't seen a lot of this around town so his service really stood out. The food was all great and brought out pretty quickly. Price was the only negative. It cost the same to eat here as it did for a nice dinner at Woody's in Gulfport. Absolutely pitiful location. The girl who helped at the drive thru acted like we were a bother. We ordered ahead and got there when they told us it would be ready. We waited for a while for them to get everything together. Every aspect of the order was wrong. Chili in the bottom of the cheese dip, no pickle after specifically asking for a pickle, and unsweet tea when it was supposed to be sweet. I turned around and had them fix these mistakes that were clearly listed on our receipt. The girl who helped me was so sweet but once again the girl from the drive thru saw me and began whispering to the other girl helping me. Would've loved to know what she had to say. Was very disappointed in today's visit . Ordered two french dip roast beef with au jus, 2 broccoli and cheese soups & 2 cucumber & tomato salads and NOTHING had any taste. It was all terribly bland and seasonless. My husband said the cucumber & tomato salad had a "twang" and he wasn't talking about the dressing. It was also incredibly expensive. The sandwiches were about 6 inches long, the cheese was barely melted and the bread was cold. The broccoli cheese soup was nothing but stalks and also almost completely flavorless. Went to the one in Fairfax, VA for the first time. The grilled cheese sandwich had melted cheese pouring out of it and the rye bread it was on was so soggy I could not pick it up. We've had issues with freshness of our nearest Biloxi 'McAlister's' this year, so have ended going up to Wiggins for theirs. Basically, every visit has been very fresh food and drink! The sweet tea is amazing, and I tend to go for the Reuben sandwich. Their sides also are good, such as the potato salad. This 'McAlister's' location we recommend for the freshest food (including desserts), friendly staff, and great drink options. read more

The worst McAllisters I've ever been to. Food was normal. But they had all kinds of employees walking around. Had a line to the door. And only one person taking orders. Had 2 men there looked like managers and I had 4 drinks to carry and no one offered help. When the waitress brought the food she just sat it down and didn't say a word.
