*Update I received a response from the "owner" that responded to my initial 1-star review and…read morecalled to seek a solution as advised and was told that responses to reviews are system generated and there was no real person behind what seemed to be a genuine message, extremely disappointing They are fraudsters! My husband was given a consultation to have his wisdom teeth removed got approved for surgery only to be told AFTER the appointment that it'd be $1k out of pocket for sedation with Medicaid instead of telling us that before the appointment. They knew the insurance he had before the consultation and robbed his insurance for office visits and exam costs knowing that they would not be doing surgery... Crooks

My young daughter was a patient almost two years ago. Recently, at a dentist appointment elsewhere,…read moreshe was referred back to her surgery site to take a look at an infection that had appeared right above her surgery site, whinch involves two teeth. When we talked on the phone to discuss what the referral was about, they claimed it couldn't be something that was caused by the surgery because it was too far out since the surgery had happened. I was told to go back to the dentist and they gave me no option to bring my daughter in for an exam. Now a month later, there is an abscess in one of the teeth that was worked on and it has to be extracted. Had this referral actually been honored and they were willing to care for their previous patient, this could have been prevented. I would not recommend this site purely because they are negligent.

After we set an appointment, I realized my mama hadn't been to the dentist in over 10 years. That's…read morewhy we actually sent the appointment. She wanted dentures after getting all of her teeth pulled years ago behind a health concern. This was our first time going to this office. It was a wonderful experience. I loved how they treated my mama. I love how they seem like a small town office. Every visit we've done since then, they've not only known her but also known me. I love little details like that.

In case you don't get to the bottom of my experience explanation, Aspen charged me for my cleaning…read more(of course that's fine), and then gave me "FREE" x-rays by cutting my gum open, not thinking it was an immediate issue, and causing me to go elsewhere due to the severity of the cut. That cost me $1,102 to have a good, respectable dentist do some invasive stuff. Ever have bone come through a tear in your gum that you have to get shaved and filed down? I can't remember the last time I had tooth pain. It had to be middle school or earlier. Yet a few days after I had my first appointment here, I developed pain in my tooth that they put a filling in after one had apparently fallen out. Assuming it would go away, I didn't give it much thought. As it continued to get worse, I called in to have it looked at, explaining my pain was increasingly worse and I couldn't eat. The receptionist was not friendly and did not seem to take my pain seriously, saying they couldn't get me in for over a week. I have an appointment with Village West Dentistry tomorrow, so I will add to this review once they tell me what Aspen has possibly caused. Should it be unrelated, I will delete the majority of this negative review. However, the part about not taking my pain seriously will stay within the review. Update: Called next day around 11:00 to request copies of x-rays. It was during business hours, but it went to voicemail. I left my name, number and reason for calling. Guess what? I never got a call back. This office is getting on my last nerve. Update: Again. Called next day to ask that x-rays be sent to new dentist. I would have to fill out a consent form (perfectly fine), they would then send that to corporate (why?), and then it would be 7-14 days before they send them. I asked my new dentist about it, and he said he has never heard of a company that couldn't just get consent and then email them all in the same day. Thanks again for the ridiculousness, Aspen. Update: New dentist was able to immediately send X-rays and visit details to a periodontist of my choosing. Aspen can't do that. Update: $667 at a periodontist because the tear from how Aspen took x-rays with the always uncomfortable tabs you have to bite on. They had to use stitches and file bone that was now showing. Update: $1,102 dollars out of pocket because Aspen created a lot of damage from the "FREE" X-rays. If you don't want an unexpected payment plan, probably go somewhere else.
