I went here a week ago and already had to get another manicure elsewhere. Within the first two days, my natural nail with acrylic on top completely broke and ripped (which has never happened to me) and the gel started peeling and catching on things the day after. This was 3 days after I got them done. I usually can have my nails on for two weeks at the minimum and have never experienced something like this. I just moved here from out of state and really wish I could have brought my nail tech with me. The nail tech at McBee who did my nails got dip powder on my skin, didn't have me wash my hands but instead "rinsed" my hands in a bag of Acetone before putting the finishing coat on so my hands dried out SO bad, and filed my nails into a stiletto point instead of almond like I asked. She did such a sharp point that I poked a hole in my leggings when I got home! She was also very rough when filing and didn't file the underside of my nails so the powder was sticking to my skin and the underside of my nails have a rough edge. The dip powder surrounds the edges of my nails and looks very messy. The other techs were also lounging around using the pedicure massage chairs which I've never seen before. The atmosphere was not luxurious or spa like at all but I guess that's why it's call "nail lounge" not "nail spa". read more

This is my first review ever and I feel the need to share my experience. I have been coming for awhile but lately it's been very bad experiences. I've gotten my nails cut or they push to hard on it filing multiple times and I leave sore or with a cut, without an apology. These last nails I am not happy with by any means. This was my first visit here and I won't be back. My manicure had to be redone because Ann sent me on my way with bubbles in the polish and my nails weren't even fully covered. Mia did my pedi and Ann did my first mani and cut my nails way down. I asked for them to match my shortest nail. They are much shorter! I gave my gift card away because I will not be back. It would be a zero if I could. In order to get a refund they had to take the manicure off. My nails aren't even close to the same length as each other. When they gave me a bowl of water to soak my hands in, it was dirty. I had to ask for a new bowl. So they removed the manicure and my nails feel all rough and gross. 2 stars only because of my sister-in-laws technician was great! Mine however, completely destroyed my cuticles. It's a good thing I ended up getting red because all but one finger was bleeding by the end. To preface my cuticles usually bleed but I didn't notice until I got home and cleaned up how far into my skin he dremeled. I hope you can tell in the pictures how bad this is, this was the same day. I need a new local nail salon, and I went here for a gel mani, with acrylic extensions, and a deluxe pedicure. Honestly, I was not impressed with my experience. The massage chairs were pretty old and dirty, and they had these old tattered pillows that they set on your lap. It looks great on the outside, but the inside is a bit rundown. My deluxe pedicure was kind of the worst. The massage barely touched my legs and feet, and my artist really made me feel like I was putting her out. She messed up my toe polish twice and I had to ask her to fix it. My manicure looks beautiful, but the guy that did it made the whole experience really uncomfortable. He kept contorting my hand in weird ways and made me reach across the chair awkwardly to work on me, all the time saying "Relax, relax!" I asked if I could add a shimmer on top and he said "no." First I had to soak my nails in boiling hot water to get the old dip off. The process was so rushed and they all seem so annoyed that I had not had the time to choose a color because I was too busy trying to keep my damn hands in the bowl to soak the old polish off. My nails were filed so extremely short and uneven and the pain job was uneven as well (missed the sides on some). Overall don't recommend. read more

This is a new salon that I have been visiting for the past 3 months. Their service is excellent. I usually don't even make an appointment because the service is quick and efficient. The staff is attentive and gives me exactly what I ask for. I received dip powder on my nails and loved Hannah's nails so much I wanted a heart that I saw on her nails on mine. She told me should would be able to do the same on my nails. I was impressed. Usually it's an entire show to ask for any kind of design on my nails with dip powder at other salons. If you are looking for a fast manicure this is your place but don't expect a relaxing spa service. You check in on an iPad, you sit down and they get to work. They soaked off the gel on my nails in nail remover then used Dremel to get rest off. No other soaking before doing my cuticles. I felt he rushed through process and I had a few spots that burned from Dremel. My nails also started to chip 3 days later. I was here for work and had already left town or I would have gone back to get them fixed. The salon itself wasn't super clean when I really started looking around. On the plus side staff was nice and I was able to get a walk in appointment. Not worth the $35 plus tip I paid. read more

The first minute when I sat down in the chair I knew something was off. I looked around and saw loose power cords, and floor damage in the nail spa. Once the person came to do my nails she didn't really know what to do when she saw my inspiration picture. Mind you it was just a french tip and a bow on my ring finger. She called her supervisor over and they had a conversation about my nails in a language I couldn't understand. After she finally started on my nails she cut them way too short and filed them crooked. This process took her I kid you not 45 minutes. My friend who had started after me by 15 minutes was done before me with 10 minutes to spare. After she finally got to the french tip my nail was really crooked. My middle finger extension is so far to the left that my natural nail was showing. And I got my nails done yesterday. After like 1 hour and 10 minutes she was finally getting to the bow. I think this girl basically gave up because she grabbed a bow sticker and tried to place it on but on both nails it was never straight I had to do it for her because she couldn't do it her self. After just one day the sticker has come off. I just wanna add that the lady her self was kind to me but the service at Mcbee Nail Lounge is not a good place to go. read more

all the good reviews are on FB! I came here for a quick fill in on my lunch break . A hesitant young lady took my polish off and buffed it down a lil. I was real worried how my nails were going to play out . I think she was actually prepping me while one of the experienced techs were Available. Once Lee stepped in - we were back in business. He was quick and consistent with quality. He fixed my awkful shape for a previous salon. The nails are smooth and straight with no lumps . The lady who did my nails was completely distracted with a little boy who was crying the majority of the time I was there. She would stop halfway through a nail to go tend to him. It is now Sunday and I already have multiple chips. The base of my nails are splotchy and uneven, like you can see where the paint layers dried under each other. I've been coming to Mcbee Nails exclusively for 3+ years, yesterday was the last straw. The nail tech used the wrong color and when I told him it was too red he insisted it was correct...he hadn't started yet but then did my toes quickly. Some of my toenails werent even fully painted. He filed my big toes unevenly and when I asked him to redo the bumpy big toe he didn't add a top coat so all my other toes were shiny except that one. I hate complaining but finally asked him to redo it and he didn't add enough so the polish is see through. Paid full price for a half-a$$ job. Pedicure was okay-I can appreciate the time saving if them doing nails and toes at the same time but I think that added to the poor quality of my dip manicure and I couldn't enjoy the massage chair because I was constantly having to lean over to the nail tech to get my other hand. My nails are uneven, thick (more so around the edges) and the clear top coat isn't even on some nails. She also didn't even take the time to clean up my hands I left with sticky clear residue all over my fingers and hands that I had to pick and peel off. This place is SO conveniently located for those who live near downtown Greenville. Unfortunately, that's the best thing about it. I typically get dip powder which requires the drill for clean up and shaping. The technician using the drill absolutely ripped up my cuticles with it. I had a pretty bloody cut along one of my cuticles from the drill and when the manicure was over, he went to put cuticle oil over everything. I had to stop him from putting cuticle oil, which was applied from a nail polish bottle with a brush. My immediate panic came from the idea of him brushing oil on my bleeding cuticle and sticking the brush right back into the bottle for the next person. It's unsanitary and left me in a place where I will not return. read more

Some places won't or can't do nail art but my technician was eager to try something new and he did it very quickly. Came from out of town and needed my nails done. This place was walking distance from our hotel and wasn't as pricey as others. I made an appt and when I got there, I was taken right away. You have to sign in first and when I got to the seat, I was immediately brought the gel colored and was taken care of within 10 mins of sitting down. Friendly staff, clean place but you get your nails and feet done in the pedi chair and two different people take care of you. I didn't mind and I think the man who did my nails was Toneloc; he was very friendly and chatty. He was also patient as I switched my colors three different times The price wasn't too bad either and you get three different pedicure levels to choose from. 30, 40 and 50. I think the only negative thing I would say, is the massage portion is lacking. I wish they would have done a better job at that but otherwise, a nice place! read more

I never write a review .. ever. I am extremely easy going and not picky- I just wanted a basic dip manicure with an oval shape. I had Ken and he was extremely rushed, he yanked my arm, pinched my skin, burned me with a nail file multiple times (he did apologize) and all of my nails are different lengths and shapes. This isn't the first time I've had a poor experience there. For my wedding nails, they again rushed me in and out my my dip nails were extremely thick--- I immediately had to go somewhere else to get them soaked off and redone. The location is very convenient but I just can't keep going back to this lounge. read more

And when I did finally get tended to to get my nails done she ripped my skin and it still hurts two weeks later and is infected. And not a single apology and she didn't even help when it was very obviously bleeding! On top of all of this, my gel manicure is already coming off. Don't expect anything if you decide to go here. Not sure why this place only has 3 stars.. this is the only nail salon in Greenville that any of my coworkers or I will go to because it's so much better than most of the other ones! We are all from larger cities around the country (Denver, Sacramento, Atlanta, etc.) and all struggled finding a nail place in Greenville that does as good as work as we are used to, and this is now all of our go-to spot. Horrible place. Do not get your nails done here it was the worst manicure I have ever had and I go get my nails done all the time.

I was in from out of town and got my nails done here. I was talked into Gel X because they say it's better for sensitive skin (I told them about my skin's reaction to regular gel). However, I didn't know that this is fake nails on top of the natural nail, which I didn't want. The technician didn't do any of the normal cuticle care or manicure steps. He just used the drill so much on my natural nails that they're now paper thin and completely ruined. He then applied, cut, and filed the Gel X nails crookedly. When I asked if he could fix them, he said he couldn't see it. Another technician had to come over and tell him to remove the worst one and redo it. She said he would make the rest straight after the color was applied...(??) The color I picked on the swatch was the same number as the container, but looked completely different from the color that was actually applied. By the end I was very frustrated and the tech who came by earlier had to file all of the crooked ones after the color and top coat had been applied because my tech still didn't see that they were messed up. This caused the edges to look bad and not last as long. The space is a mess and the staff isn't all that friendly. Overall, a terrible experience. read more

I've gone to McBee on 6 occasions. The first time I went was pretty standard so I continued to go back. On my second to last visit after being nearly harassed to get dip by no less than 3 people I decided I didn't like the vibe anymore. I went back this week to give it one last chance and again so disappointing. If I'm paying $75 for a manni and a pedi I truly want to have a relaxing experience. Time after time I'm getting a manicure WHILE having my pedicure done. I'm being pulled and tugged in different directions. This week I AGAIN had to remind them not once, not twice but three times to trim the cuticles on my fingers. Why do I need to remind you?! That's literally part of the manicure process. I know they are trying but the rushing pace, the constant unfinished or unpolished work it's not worth it at all. They should charge $20 a service because that's the quality you're getting. I have multiple nails that are not fully painted on the side. I don't even want them to redo it - going elsewhere to have my manicure completely redone. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. read more

Got a dip manicure by Rose. She was so kind and did an amazing job. Also, this shop has one of the best dip powder collections of quality brands I've ever seen. Very clean. I travel often but this will be my nail salon of choice in Greenville. The shop was busy with walk ins, so like any quality nail salon I suggest calling ahead to make an appointment.
