So far, five stars!…read more Recently dropped off our deposit for our wedding next year and Rosemary could not have been any sweeter and kinder to us as we asked her all sorts of questions and she took the time to show us literally everything and explain everything. We were lucky enough to see the place decorated for an upcoming wedding and it is gorgeous! The pictures certainly don't do this place justice. Let's not forget, completely affordable as well being $32 a plate for family style serving for chicken Marsala and prime rib rolls! Another total plus, although they are a Catholic Church, they are completely ok with non denominational weddings which is wonderful, especially for us. We had the Chicken Kristina (sundried tomato and basil cream sauce), Palomino pasta (creamy marinara), Bourbon-Maple meatballs, Herb Roasted Redskins, and the Seasonal Vegetable Medley (also salad, dressing and rolls). They provided the food for the weekly buskers course over 8 weeks. The breakfast omelet, fresh fruit, shrimp cocktail, grilled veggies and chicken were all good.

If you're looking to book an event (receptions, retirement parties, anything else), give them a call and definitely give this place a shot. When I go to these halls, I usually am at a work meeting or a training of some sort. The parking lot is pretty small, which was expected since the room held maybe 130-150 people at most (considering people carpool and drive together). The hallway to get to the room is a pretty tight squeeze. I was bumping into many people. The room itself, however, is nice. It's a good size for an intimate wedding. The dance floor is a pretty decent size too, which was nice. Not a bad spot for an event.

There was a good variety of music (folk, country, blues, or all of the above). The energy in the room was amazing. This is a charity event that people attend every year. I'm so glad we were invited to attend. The Community House is definitely old & holds a lot of history. I loved the atmosphere & found it to be very intriguing. It definitely needs a lot of TLC, and looks like they're having some serious structural issues. The good news is that they have a plan, and hopefully they'll be able to fulfill the vision for a new Community House. It's clear that the community takes pride in this little landmark.
