The food service itself took a long time considering it wasn't super busy - mains took 1-1.5 hours after ordering. 3. When we finished our dinner we sat with dirty plates for a very long time before they were removed. 4. Coming from Toronto typically when bars/restaurants learn of a special occasion they will comp something or send out celebratory shooters to "get the party going" - could be the area, but was a little disappointed by the lack of acknowledgement from the establishment. However the Food was good, traditional pub fare. Nothing outstanding. Price was a little expensive for what you do get. Drinks were underwhelming. We don't recommend the margaritas. Tasted like bar lime - no tequila taste and for 12-13$ (Toronto pricing) they really should have tasted better considering. Surprised most drinks were $9+ for the area and they were out of coolers and had limited options. There was supposed to be live music but they didn't arrive or go on. (Part of the reason we chose this particular bar). That would have been nice to know ahead of time as we would have likely moved a reservation to a live music spot. All in all in the area that was close to us - Not bad. But not what we had anticipated when we reserved. Our drink order was taken and delivered in a timely manner. My husband was impressed with his Old Fashioned, and said it was well made. We placed our appetizer and dinner choices at the same time. The appetizers were a bit slow to come out, however we attributed that to it being a busy evening. No big deal for us. We had the stuffed Yorkies, and the bruschetta. Both were excellent. Our dinners took longer than expected, but again, it was a busy night. 2 of us has the braised lamb shank, 2 had the Prime Rib special, and I had the striploin. They were worth the wait!! My brother wanted to lick his plate when he finished his lamb and said it was the best he's ever had. My steak was perfectly cooked, and the prime rib was also well enjoyed. Although we didn't have much space left, we elected to try their flourless chocolate torte for dessert, 2 pieces to be shared amongst us. It was super rich, but came with a raspberry coulis to help cut it. Excellent!! All in all, our experience was a million times better than our last. The poutine as you can see is not a traditional poutine. Fries gravy and cheese. My co-workers poutine was LOADED with gravy whereas mine was a little on the drier side.
