Today I came in to evaluate the Microscope and do a maintenance service. I was very impressed with…read morethe quality and care of the microscope. Plenty of veterinarians and even some human doctors use very cheap instruments. This was not the case. Very friendly staff and veterinarian. I felt like family there and that's rare for a new client.

I brought my large breed dog in with an ear infection and met with a traveling vet, not the usual…read more My dog had clear red inflamed ear with the flap filled with liquid. The traveling vet said it was food allergies and tried to sell me a $150 bag of allergy food, then sent us on our way. I explained that Dr W had told me that the fluid could cause long term damage and was ignored. The next several days I watched my dog become lethargic, shaking her head in pain as the infection and fluid became worse. The flap becoming near three inches thick with fluid. I called the vet and sent in pictures of the infections progress, they made me an appointment for the end of the week. At that point she was put on the necessary steroids and yeast infection cream by Dr W. As I was paying I requested a discount because I had already paid for the same appointment the week before. I was told absolutely not by the office manager. I explained that after watching my dog suffer for weeks and having to take two days off of work for vet appointments that this was an $800 yeast infection. After speaking with the vet the manager removed the cost of the appointment and promptly 86ed me, rudely asking me "where to send my dogs records" after years as a client and thousands and thousands of dollars paid. The office assistants mouthed their apologies clearly in fear of the woman in charge. It was hard to watch my dog suffer needlessly and be treated like crap by the manager. Terrible business practice.

This is a larger facility and a seemingly more professional business than others around town;…read morehowever, my dog has not had a good experience here. I had to take him to the vet for ingesting pieces of plastic after being there all day for daycare. I know another person's animal has been in a dog fight on two separate occasions, another dog has ripped their paw pads, and when I went in one day to pick up my dog...a girl there was yelling and pointing her finger in a scared dogs face about eating some poo. I don't know why that girl hadn't picked up the poo before a dog could eat it, but it doesn't seem like they are as attentive to the animals as they should be. I will never take my dog here again because they do not provide adequate supervision if there are all these separate occurrences of dogs being injured. Some people might never have a bad experience and that's good. I ignored other people's bad experiences because I didn't know where else to go but I'm not going to risk it anymore. Last note: The first time I took my dog to the other place in town, he absolutely loved it. I know because he started FREAKING OUT the very next time I took him because he was so excited (and he had only gone once the prior day). He NEVER got that excited about going to the Blue Moose for the entire month I took him. In fact he always seemed anxious when I had to leave him waiting in one of those cages.
