So I gave them a shot. And I've been going to them for the last four years. I've had a few emergency appointments that I needed to get in for and they got me right in no problem and got me taken care of. My pets see Dr. Jim and he is amazing very thorough, very caring. I currently have a sick baby and he's been following up with me even on his day off, he has called to see how my fur baby was and to go over some test results. And the staff is absolutely amazing. Everyone there is so nice and they make you feel welcomed. Definitely recommend

She was supposed to be taken out on a leash and they just let her out in the yard off leash. They said she jumped the fence, and the owners did nothing to locate the dog. The owners never contacted us. WE had to call THEM to ensure they were looking for her. One employee was the only one looking for her (thank goodness for her) and she said the owners weren't even looking. WE had to ask THEM to post online for the lost dog. WE had to ask for THEM to call animal control. They lied to us about who let the dog out and told the employee who contacted us to lie to us. They left her out in the January cold for 6 days. The only reason we got our dog back was because our friend came down from anchorage and tracked the dog from Friday to Monday. DO NOT BOARD YOUR DOGS HERE THEY MIGHT LOSE THEM. We are disgusted with the treatment of our dog and the lack of communication from the owners and there was NEVER any accountability. They never once apologized for almost getting our dog killed. Zero stars. Would NOT recommend!!!

The larger one takes medication and the small one can be scared easily; but we have the utmost confidence in their handling of our little ones. Our dogs are expertly cared for and always come back to us happy and joyful. We sometimes get text messages and photos while traveling to show us our boys playing with the other dogs or just having fun at the kennel. You cannot find better people to trust your animals with. Sports Lake Kennel will always be our choice to board our dogs.

I guess there was an earlier check out time? My dogs (2) were there for 24 hours, 5:30pm Friday to 5:30pm Saturday and the charge was $133.00. They came home with extra food? Which means maybe one of them did not get fed the proper amount and a soaking wet blanket. So they were sitting in a wet kennel (water, not urine). So, were they ok, of course, but that is a lot of money to have my dogs sit in a crate. Was is completely awful, no, just not what I would do again.

I have bought seasonal fresh English cucumbers here, fresh laid eggs also available on occasion. I recently bought a sack of granular Plantskydd to put around my new landscape plantings to keep the moose away and stop them from browsing on my plants. Yeah, moose - these buggers are really bad about eating your landscape saplings, shrubs, and certain flowers if you have an unfenced yard on the Kenai Peninsula. A fence around my yard is definitely in my future.
