I was totally impressed from the minute they came to our house to talk about the project. The owner, John Gallagher, came to our house with numerous suitcases full of samples. Every other company I called asked us to come to their showroom, we could select what we wanted, and then they would come out to the house to give an estimate. John brought the showroom to our house!!! We were able to make selections, go upstairs to the bathrooms and actually see what it looked like in that bathroom. Then, while we were discussing other options and issues, he sent the selections we made to a team that was able to render what we wanted so we could see it in the dimensions of our bathrooms. This totally blew me away as we could get real-time feedback and see what our bathrooms would look like. This totally sold us on hiring Custom Bath of Nashua. Then, to have the actual renovation done by totally professional craftsmen was above and beyond expectations. Outstanding craftsmanship by each team on the project and very courteous and clean. The smoke coming up through the floors was so strong we were getting smoke inhalation symptoms. Gross! But then we noticed that the smell was strongest where our floorboards had wide gaps, and we wondered if flooring might be the answer. We love the look of our historic floors, so preserving that was a big concern for us. We reached out to Thomas about sealing up the gaps with caulking and he responded the same day. He fit us in for a consult within two weeks and sent an estimate one hour after his inspection. One week later, they were in our house working. Even though it was October in Salem, he and his team came out and delivered. 3 weeks from start to finish. For a very fair price, we now have airtight floors that look exactly as aged and beautiful as they were before. We were worried that adding caulk between the boards might take away from their charm, but the team was so careful and neat in their work that you would never noticed the filling unless we pointed it out. They cleaned up at the end of the day and were respectful of our home. Having a father who was an electrician, I am a pretty tough customer since I know what is needed for most construction jobs. The sub-contractors were top notch as well. The plumbers, electricians, painters, excavator, sheetrockers, insulators, and the tile worker did great jobs and were equally as respectful. I cannot say enough good things about St. Laurent Construction. I looked at over 6 different outfits when deciding on the work to be done on my home.
