Do not recommend this DJ at all. The music was constantly turning on and off mid song, the volume was going up and down and they didn't even accept song requests. We have had many parties including one of my own at this venue and we've never had an issue with the DJ or his equipment. We had to plug a family members phone in just to have decent music. The owners are now trying to flip it and say that everyone was "highly intoxicated" and "belligerent" which is not the case, making these statements as they weren't even there. Everyone is entitled to give their reviews, no one is "exaggerating" about this service or "bending the truth" other than the owners who weren't even there making these accusations. read more

Our daughter's wedding was planned to be in our beautiful backyard. Weather predicted rain, so we decorated our large shop as a plan "B". I am a wedding planner at Chalet View Lodge and we recently had McClain's mobile DJ come out for a wedding. They were an absolute delight to work with and they were able to get the wedding guests pumped up to dance with traditions. The wedding guests weren't particularly a lively bunch, so Tracy and Mike did their absolute best and getting people involved and out on the dance floor. They were extremely engaging with the crowd and knew exactly when to make announcements without having Chalet View Lodge staff reminding them. A lot of times when working with DJs, we (as a venue) have to provide additional equipment that they forget to bring. Not with McClain DJ! They were prepared with all of their necessary equipment. The transitions from bridal introductions to newlywed grand entrance to traditions were all seamless and there were no awkward pauses at the reception. Even though we were sometimes all over the place with details, she was very personable and organized throughout the entire process. Because I didn't have a wedding planner, she was extremely helpful in keeping us on track with moving guests from various sections, the day-of-timeline, and the speeches. We were those tough clients who knew exactly what they wanted before even speaking with her and we sincerely appreciated how she executed every single request with ease. Tracy was THE BEST! She was not the typical DJ that stands behind the computer and plays songs. She interacted with the guests. She brought her own props, like a blown up guitar that I played LOL! We were not pleased with this DJ service and have worked with many DJ's through many events. This was a far cheaper DJ service than what we usually use so thought we would try them out and had meant them at a Wedding event at the Grand Sierra Resort. The dinner was delayed as the DJ insisted on changing our schedule and doing the grand entrance before the meal. I understand this is not the typical order of events but this is the order we wanted for our event but it was not honored. The DJ's arrived promptly, were dressed professionally, and even wore name tags. The DJ butchered the names and pronunciation during announcing...obviously not fluent or familiar in Spanish. The music was not our style and the dance floor was empty. After multiple requests to DJ to play certain music including providing a hand written list and being told "we will see what we can do" a family members cell phone was hooked up so we could hear what the crowd wanted. I understand from the owner they have a song list of 60,000 plus but they were still unable to play the music and style we wished to hear. The quality of sound was poor in my opinion, it would be loud then soft and not always clear. Also, all events we have had in the past the DJ's would bring at minimum 4 towers of speakers and spread them around the room, 6 if you pay a little more. This set up just has speakers at the DJ table. In my opinion this service is not a good match for a Hispanic wedding. After the event, the Owner emailed the bride on her honeymoon harassing her because attendees were posting negative reviews. read more

We were not impressed at all with this DJ. The Music was awful and was pretty low for the most part. You couldn't get him to play anything you requested. We went up several times to get him to play songs we requested and he would not. At one point we asked can we give you our phone or even play Pandora they had a better mix then what he was playing. He said he would play a phone if we could get him and Aux cord or if we could write the songs down.. ( language Barrier). We did both and surprise..... he played must of finally found an artist but then played several of there songs back to back..... At one point He did plug into my Husbands phone but that didn't happen till maybe 10:30. Its pretty unfortunate that he could not provide the service you expect from a DJ. We have had many parties and have never had to provide a detailed list of songs for the DJ to do his JOB!! Very disappointing, would NOT recommend to anyone! read more

Tracy DJ'd our wedding on 10/15/16, and did a phenomenal job! I couldn't have been happier with her service. Not only did she play a great selection of music for everyone to enjoy, but she also helped keep the wedding on track, and coordinated our event to our liking! This company is very disrespectful because of the reviews done by the family of the groom and the bride, when all we want to be is honest with the performance that they displayed for us that night. The girl Tracey is saying that the father of the groom was "highly intoxicated" and "belligerent" when the women wasn't even at the venue. She is hearing different sides of the story that isn't true. Saying that the venue cut off the father of the groom and multiple other people from alcohol which isn't the case at all. Very unprofessional brining in family to harass people. Being racist toward our family. They even say that we are not aloud to post a review because we didn't pay for the dj. ANYBODY can post a review on ANYTHING. We wouldn't recommend such people to any one who wants a great night. No one was on the dance floor. We even had to get our own aux cord to play off a family members phone.
