If I could give this company more than 5 stars, I would in a heartbeat! I left a review on Google, but I wanted to make sure I covered the bases. I have had so many bad experiences with companies the last few years. No one seems to appreciate their customers, and customer service is severely lacking. It's beyond frustrating. Enter McCormick. I instantly knew that I wanted to write a review to inform others. This company goes above and beyond with their communication prior to the visit and during. I knew exactly who was coming (They sent a picture) and when. Jason was knowledgeable, friendly, and on time. He did a full safety check on my house, in addition to the work I asked them to do. Just experienced, what to date, has been the most bizarre interaction with a service company. If you choose to call these people, know that not only will your call be recorded, but the person on the phone with you will be carefully scripted to tell you that you will be given a "complimentary system check". You will be led to believe that the $98 service call will be waived if you hire them to do the work. Wrong. The $98 is to get them to drive to your house. The complimentary system check will regurgitate back to you what you described the problem to be when you called. then you will be told that to diagnose one circuit, the charge will be in excess of $600. Have a light that doesn't work? That will be in excess of $300, not to fix it, Lord no, just to determine what the issue is... Oh, you actually want something fixed? That is a whole new charge, not disclosed until after you've already invested an outrageous sum in the diagnosis. So, I found myself in this situation today. They had a recoding of my original call on hand to play back to me so they could demonstrate how effective their deceptive script is. They "generously" decided to "go against policy" and include the $98 in my bill for a minor diagnostic of a light, for only $344, not to get it to work, mind you, simply to tell me what was wrong, as long as it didn't go beyond the scope of a minor diagnostic. God knows what the charge would be if it was more than minor, again JUST to diagnose. So, I agreed to take this step and authorized the minor diagnostic. But, then I immediately went to Google a posted a negative review of my experience. Amazingly, in minutes I received both a text and a call from this company demanding to know why I was posting a negative complaint, and wondering if I still wanted the diagnosis. I told them, yes, I was still willing to get the diagnostic done. Then, I was told they would not do the work, because of my post, and they didn't want a customer like me. If ever a company could culturally have a black heart, this friends is one of them. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!! read more

This outfit is terrible ! I called on them to fix 3 electrical problems, two of which should have been very easy to do. They wanted to charge me $395.00 to replace a dimmer switch and a disposal/dishwasher outlet. REALLY ! Are you kidding me !!? And I provided the rocker switch !!! I'm going to replace these switches myself. They charged me $98.00 for coming to my house and doing absolutely NOTHING !! DO NOT USE THIS OUTFIT OR YOU WILL GET BURNED!!!! I think and hope the work done would have been quality. I wasn't able to get that far. I had someone come out to quote a house rewire. Out of all the companies that come out this was the only company to charge money to come tell me how much money actually working would cost. Then the work was basically going to destroy the integrity of a 100 year old house and entails trenching the entire basement ceiling because it makes their job easier. And after all that and a two month wait where I had to all to receive the quote it comes in so over the top high there was no chance they were interested in doing the job at all. Like 500% more expensive than the next highest quote. Just say you can't or don't want the job. I found the entire process a bit insulting. They get three stars for being polite in person showing up and delivering a quote. The pictures they post online are of good work but who knows. Quotes are not free although they have standardized pricing. I was really frustrated to spend the $90 for them to give me a "quote" just for the electrician to inform the the pricing is standardized and not job based. So I could've received a quote over the phone read more

Very professional communication. Good response time. Cost is higher than hiring a "guy" who knows something about electricity but it seemed worth it to me. They diagnosed and fixed the problem and checked the test of the house to avoid future issues. I was very happy with the service. read more

ME answered the phone promptly, and helped me schedule an appointment for an estimate immediately. Tom McCormick, the owner, personally game to my house. Tom is professional, well-qualified and easy to speak with. He is very open and honest about his fee structure and is open to suggestions and questions. He did a great job at my house, and I feel fortunate to have found him online. ME is not cheap. However, their quality is exceptional, and since the consequences of shoddy electrical work can be a house fire, they are worth it. I highly recommend McCormick Electric. read more

today they finished some work in my house and before tech left without asking me he sticks company logo's (advertisement) on MY electric panel and also adds TWO STICKERS THAT SAY IF REMOVED THIS VOIDS YOUR WARRANTY... who are you to tell me I can't remove my OWN electric panel? First of all, the good. They were polite and they did the work. Now, the bad. They charged over $700 to install three fixtures!! Highway robbery. I could've installed two of the fixtures myself--a wall sconce and a ceiling flush mount--in half an hour and saved over $300. And they had the nerve to suggest that I pay them an additional almost $400 to fix a circuit that never had a problem in 12 years until they showed up. How they have an A+ accreditation with the Better Business Bureau is a mystery, given all the negative reviews. Spoke to the pleasant receptionist today and told her that I would not be having them come back b/c their prices are way too high. Beware!! read more
