During the warmest days of this summer my 22 year old central air conditioner quit. I have had great service at very affordable rates from Land Heating and Air Conditioning in the past so I contacted them for a service call and as expected my unit was on it's last leg and needed replacing NOW! The technician gathered information about our home and then quoted me with a price that I thought was very reasonable. Within days 2 installers came to our home and replaced everything from the compressor outside to the coil in the furnace. They were very polite and did a professional installation. NOTICE DO NOT USE LAND HEATING AND AIR Conditioning out of LaPorte. as they installed a $400 motor in my central air unit. They had the wires crossed, the air was blowing out the side of the unit coils instead the top of the unit. This was found by another Heating and Air company and had to be required. I informed Leslie F. from Land Heating And Air Conditioning of this, and her response to me, since I didn't allow her people finish the job, the warranty may be voided. FINISH the job?????? I thought when I paid you the job was finished. I WAS not requesting or wanting anything back from Land Heating and Air, ON THEIR MISTAKE. I just wanted them to be informed. I was trying to just advise them their technician was not installing correctly. Leslie was not worried at all about the technician installing wrong, but worried more about telling me my warranty was or may be voided. She seemed to care less about the mistake. She even told me we went above and beyond with working with my insurance company, wow seriously. Well must not said the right thing because the insurance company didn't cover it. I thought as a business owner you try to assist the customer, not throw it in their face that you spoke on their behalf. The bottom line my intentions were not to publicize mine and LAND HEATING AND AIR SITUATION, but the way I was treated on the phone by Leslie forced me to write this. Please share my post. read more

Had new air-conditioning installed. They crossed wires & blew the transformer. 5 hours later they finally had it working. Three weeks later electric did not work had to replace wires. They took our programable thermostat & replaced it with a non-programable one & when we noticed it wanted to charge us $118 for a new one. Finally gave us a new one but said to never call them again. read more

Recently had Land Air conditioning out of La Porte to replace a capacitor on fan motor. The technician takes a number of photos of the stainless steel heat exchanger saying it was cracked and Proceeded to shut off the gas to furnace. Fact, stainless welds do show oxidation after time, there was no cracks or defects in the welds, plus extensive metering of carbon monoxide testing showed " 0 ppm" of carbon monoxide.
