The store is tidy and reasonably stocked. The usual items I find are out of stock at my own Walmart were also out of stock here. Menswear was tidy and the produce section was stocked. The restroom was clean and actually smelled like it was cleaned recently and with that, this was a better than average experience. [Review 19363 overall - 937 in South Carolina - 333 of 2023.]

Being a Walmart+ member for a few years now I was happy they finally got Scan & Go implemented here. Been using it at Sam's Club ever since they implemented it and works much smoother than Walmart's. At Walmart it's great getting through the store quicker, especially with the wonderful wider aisles. BUT, when done, your checkout is not complete yet. You now have to got to a checkout lane specified for S&G customers only (there are only 2 out of like 18 or 20) and scan the bar code on the screen. Here, you may or may not be "selected" for a visual check by an employee standing there watching you. After this inspection you proceed to leave but again stopped for security at the door to inspect your full receipt on you phone to compare to items in your cart. So for me this is totally defeating my purpose of quick in/out, wasting more of my time. Sam's Club, scan, checkout on phone, proceed to leave, they scan your bar code on your phone and 2-3 items maybe and you're out the door! Sorry, but at Walmart it make's you feel like you are trying to steal something. And I for one do not appreciate this!!! So, bye-bye Walmart!

My mother-in-law had surgery, so my wife and I are here for Thanksgiving…read more Her brother graciously ordered a Thanksgiving meal for us from Publix: my wife chose the ham, marshmallow, delight, dressing, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, and rolls . Ordering and picked up or easy, except the store didn't include the ham glaze. The note to pick it up was underneath the price tag on the ham so my wife didn't see it. Preparation was well thought out by Publix - each of the dishes took about an hour to cook at the same temperature, allowing one of them to be used for everything. Looking back, I would modify the dressing and sweet potato casserole, to make them less runny. Ham - excellent flavor, and very tender. I can't comment on the glaze (see above). We ended up making our own, since Publix was closed on thanksgiving day (I support that). Dressing - it came out very runny, so I would either increase the temperature a bit or cook it uncovered longer. I was surprised that gravy wasn't included with it, but then again, I've never heard of ham gravy for Thanksgiving (yea, I've made Red Eye Gravy, but that's another meal and ham). Sweet potato casserole - way, way, way too sweet and runny. It was more like a soup. The "topping quote was added just as a glob to the casserole. We scooped it out after tasting it. blah. Green bean casserole - I really liked that. The green beans weren't mush. They were crisp and flavorful. Marshmallow delight - I can't give you any feedback because I wasn't going near it with a 10 foot pole. lol. Rolls - I was expecting Mrs. Schuberth type rolls. These were somewhat hard and crusty. Overall, it was a good experience and meal. We have tons of leftovers, so come on over.

First visit to Harris Teeter on Morrison Boulevard, and honestly, this place is massive…read more I made the trip for one reason and one reason only: Sumo mandarins. The internet told me they were in stock. The internet lied. No Sumos. Tragic. Still, this ended up being one of the nicest Harris Teeters I have visited in Charlotte. Beautiful layout. Super clean. Huge aisles. Plenty of parking. They even have a covered grocery pickup area and staff helping customers load groceries into their cars, which feels delightfully old-school these days. I wandered around way longer than I planned because this store just keeps going. Pharmacy, hot bar, prepared foods, giant self-checkout area, demos happening in-store, clearance sections, everything. At one point somebody was carving what looked like prime rib or rib roast and it smelled incredible. Ended up leaving with Memorial Day supplies instead. Hot dogs, rye bread, bread and butter pickles, cookies, and some buy-one-get-one frozen double-fried shrimp that air fryer people already know is dangerous behavior. I also grabbed some Halo mandarins to soften the emotional blow of the missing Sumos. One thing I really liked: a lot of the fruit was kept in refrigerated cases. Smart move for freshness and probably helps keep fruit flies and gnats under control during the Carolina heat. Coming from Northern California, where citrus practically appears year-round without effort, I am still adjusting to Southeast produce seasons. Apparently Sumo season is basically over here already, so lesson learned. Even without the Sumos, this store was worth the trip. If you are in the SouthPark area and enjoy grocery stores the way some people enjoy museums, this Harris Teeter is an experience. Life is too short to not eat well, Charlotte. Go explore your grocery stores too.
