Came for cattle panels. They had the best price in town. For the most part the staff was friendly. There was a grumpy fellow that was tasked with helping us load up. That was interesting. Otherwise, the store is clean and they have a great selection. I would recommend them over the big box stores. they also had a fun Father's Day event where kids could come out and paint hammers for their dads. That was an awesome event to attend. read more

I have been buying from MCCOYS since the late 70s early 80s starting in Harlingen,TX where MR Gordon Weiss was manager . Yesterday's visit to my local Bastrop Mccoys was very impressive, first I was greeted outside the door with a young Lady who made sure I had a mask on and recorded the number of people in the store at that moment . I saw Her spraying and wiping the cards . They had another Lady at the yard entrance who kept the staff aware of the wait time to enter the yard Really seriously always loved Mccoys and Megan McCoy Jones has kept up the tradition. Ordered a shipment of lumber because I wanted to avoid the poor quality at the big box stores only to find out it's even worse quality lumber. At least 3 of the 4 2x6 lumber is unusable. I wouldn't recommend this place over a lowes or Home Depot to be honest. I expected better. read more

Everyone at this location is super friendly, from the two women at the checkout counter, the man who helped us find the screws we needed to the guys out in the lumber yard who loaded our trailer. I started to rate 4 stars because they didn't have a couple of items we needed, but the service deserves 10 stars! We ordered quite a bit of lumber. In fact it was 6,500 pounds of lumber. The men in the yard did a great job of picking out nice pieces for us. If a piece on a pallet didn't look good, they pulled it out and replaced it with another that was better quality. That hasn't been the case with other locations where we had the wood loaded, got it home and found some nasty pierces hidden in the center. That won't be a problem here. Once our order was collected, the men loaded it on our trailer. They weren't happy with the way it was sitting on the trailer and were concerned about our safety trying to drive it back to the land. They completely unloaded the trailer and started all over again. They kept shifting things around until they felt comfortable with the way things were sitting. Once it was set up the way they liked it, they strapped it securely to the trailer to make sure it wouldn't shift around causing our trailer to sway as we were driving. They then gave my husband great advice on the safest way to drive the truck to keep from having a problem. We will definitely be back to this location. read more

I am a horsewoman and a Paint Horse breeder and I buy my Preifert panels through McCoys. When I buy panels I buy them in large lots and McCoys was willing to give me a small discount. They do have delivery services which I appreciate. The people on the sales floor are generally very helpful. I think that having a Lowe's and a Home Depot within a mile has kept them on their toes. read more
