I came here yesterday to purchase a piece of equipment. They had what I was looking for and the…read moreattachment I needed. While asking questions about the product, it was discovered that the box for the item I wanted was not onto the shelf. The person assisting me answers some of my questions, however, they didn't have the answers for some of the most important ones and needed the box to provide that information. While the box was being located, I continued to shop. I didn't receive an update within a few minutes and saw how the workers were talking amongst themselves and looking a little goofy, I asked, "Did you find the box?!" They had not found it so I asked about the store hours and told them I'd be back tomorrow (which it today) to pick up my items. Well, I am here in the store now. I don't see any familiar faces and a sweet lady named Julia asked me is I needed assistance. I told her what I wanted and watched in the background as a conversation began between two employees who obviously knew what was going on with my particular situation. When Julia asked about the box, they had lost it and couldn't sell me what I needed, so now I'm dead in the water! Do better Ace Hardware!!

I replied "yes" but that I had a North Texas phone number. She tried my number, but it didn't work in her system because she hast to go to a specialist screen to access phone numbers out of the south east Texas region. She refused to take the extra step to access that special screen and simply rang up my purchase without giving me credit that I was due since I am a loyalty program member from Dallas. Needed service for my Stihl string trimmer…read more Came in, met Ira the Stihl whisperer and ordered some parts. Parts arrived in a few days. Ira requested that I bring my device in for a check-up. Gave my trimmer a thorough check (set the valves, checked compression checked grease level etc.). Ira expertly installed some of the parts I ordered but after the inspection Ira determined that not all of the parts I ordered were needed. Cost for inspection, parts installation and parts I ordered but didn't use? 0 dollars! Other small engine repair places would have no doubt charged a pretty penny for the inspection and parts installation and probably the parts I didn't need- when was the last time someone in the repair business told you didn't need to spend money on a repair? Refreshing to meet someone in the service industry that is more than competent, candid and honest.

A young man put me on hold for 30 minutes and never came back to let me know if he had anything that would fit what I was looking for. He just never came back. Let me repeat: HE NEVER CAME BACK. I called back after 30 minutes and the lady who answered put me on hold, but came back within a few minutes to say: "He said that nothing we have fits." Why he left me hanging for 30 minutes was unacceptable.
