It was important to me to have a stress-free experience and to be able to keep my normal day-to-day work routine while these projects were being executed. The result was fantastic! The home looks better than I could have ever imagined and was completed on time and within budget. I highly recommend Jessica and her team! Choosing a designer was my first step. And I honestly didn't know what a designer was yet but I knew I was going to need help. I interviewed a few others first but felt I was being buttered up to a sale rather than given real answers and advise. Jessica arrived at my home on time. She was straight forward with me from the get-go and was very pleasant to communicate with. She was extremely professional and explained which of my ideas would and wouldn't be cohesive to my goals, style and budget. She gave suggestions that I could have never come up with on my own. And she was honest about what unforeseen problems and expenses could arise while working with certain materials, electrical capacity and construction. Having this information up front from her built a trust that is priceless. Jessica is an engineer and an artist! In my opinion, her ability to balance the practical with the aesthetic sets her above all other designers. It takes a very unique mind to handle both concepts well. Not to mention management, delegation and holding each contractor and retailer responsible. All done with easy and grace making your project seem like a piece of cake! And to top it all off, I would have spent so much more on this remodel if I hadn't had Jessica to oversee the ordering, installation and maintenance. We are not finished yet (I will update this review when done with pics) but wanted to write about my experience thus far. So far I have had excellent service and expertise. Jessica has worn many hats for me, acting as an architect, a designer and manager. I came to her with an end vision and no idea how to get there. I just knew how I wanted the space to "feel." She's executed everything from the floor plans, to electrical, to the chairs and pillows better than I could of ever done on my own. She's also been a huge help in helping me understand city codes (uugghhhh) and is helping me stay ahead of them. Her attention to detail far surpasses my expectations. I thought that my needs were pretty specific...help with some interior remodeling and new furniture. First the Remodel - Karen's relationships with contractors and vendors is amazing. I loved every single person she put me in contact with. She was quick to tell me where it might be to my financial advantage to work directly with a vendor, and where i might make best use of her involvement. Now for the Interior Design - Holy Cow. Her process is unique, and my needs fell smack in the middle of the COVID situation. I couldn't have imagined a better experience and nearly one year later, I still love every single detail of our new rooms! We had actually worked with two different designers in the past for our home (a family connection who was based in San Antonio and gave a shot at one of those online services too), but unfortunately had very poor experiences so we were incredibly cautious as we explored who we wanted to work with for an investment like a remodel with a tight timeframe. We filled out a short intake questionnaire and put together a Pinterest board with style ideas and were blown away by how quickly she nailed our design aesthetic and knew exactly what we needed to do with the space. What I love most about Suzanna is that while she's an incredibly talented designer, she also works like an architect and was able to reconfigure a small space for us to maximize every square inch to somehow make our small room feel double to size and meet every functional need. Suzanna works by an hourly rate and I was very surprised how quickly she works and efficient she is with her time. She also includes you in as much or as little of the design process as you like. She was clear with me regarding project timeline, and the binder she provided with renderings (exactly like the final look, btw) was a huge help. She operates like a GC, managing budget, subs and scheduling, and nothing was missed. The quality of the floors, furnishings, walls is insane. Her company has grown quickly, so she can't always take on new clients, but she is 100 percent worth the wait. All the visuals and management she provided made everything feel simple on my end. I could never have done any of it on my own. The time, money and stress it has saved me is immeasurable and I'm forever grateful. And the design is phenomenal! Stunning. She has some CRAZY ability to look at your living space and turn it into functional art and that's not all. It's been long over-due to write this review of our kitchen/living room remodel. However, with…read morealmost 2 years out, I think we have a good perspective now. April is probably great if you have no idea what you want for your remodel and want her to just design and do it all. However, we knew exactly what we wanted, how we wanted things designed and the specifications we wanted. April did not pay close attentions to all the details we provided her. Cabinets etc were undersized. We had to go back and forth many times. Very cheap materials and labor are used (only single coats of paint and now we have had to repaint most surfaces already with just simple user wear/tear). Cheap material was used in the pantry that we had to have her pull out right after assembly. She spend nearly all of her design hours researching a job that she really could not do. In the end, we are not very happy with most of the work quality or the experience. Next time we need to do a remodel of anything else in our house (which we are starting to plan now for our master bathroom), we will certainly go elsewhere.
