Customer chose and on this day I wanted to place the order. I go to the flooring department desk and wait, then i go to the pro desk area. There are 9 employees having a large time. One employee ask to help I said I need to place a large floor order. You need to go to flooring. Ok, but I've been there and no one is there. Well all of our computers are being used up here I'll call someone to meet you. First, none of the large time happening employees were standing in front of any of 10 computers actively doing any computing and no other customers were in front of me. I went back to flooring and sat down 20 minutes before I called the store from my cell phone to ask for help. Finally Desiree came up. She was able to make my shopping experience worse. I mis-pronounced her name and she was happy with a upside down smile to help me know that twice. But again all I need is flooring and they sell flooring right? Read this conversation Her: We don't have enough to complete your order. Me: Okay can we order? Her: it doesn't show up in the system. Me: but here is the pic of the bar code from right over there. Her: we only have 20 boxes Me: can I order online? Her: it's not in the system I doubt it. You can buy our 20 boxes, and go to the 2 other stores and pick up what they have to complete your order. Me: can I call the stores in advance and have it ready. Her: you can try but it's not in the system. Me: if it's not in the system why are you telling me the inventory of other stores? I have no idea what is true. Because i left with no flooring and will go to another store and ask my customer to choose from a different stores selection. I mean it's just another trip to a customers home and repeat the selections process and back to the order department. Our original delivery did not happen because of a communication issue involving outdated contact information. We worked with Lowe's to correct everything and rescheduled for the next available date. We tried to be understanding and give Lowe's the benefit of the doubt. Then, the night before our rescheduled delivery, we received a late-night text from the installer saying he would not be able to make the appointment due to a vehicle issue. We were supposed to receive our oven the next morning, and we are now being told we have to wait another week for the next available appointment. What has been most frustrating is the lack of ownership from Lowe's. We have spent hours trying to get help and have repeatedly been passed around rather than having someone actually take responsibility for resolving the issue. I even contacted Customer Service and waited on hold for over 10 minutes before the call dropped. No one called back. When I called again, I was told they could not help me. When I asked who could assist with escalating the situation, the representative ended the call without providing any additional contact information or resolution. We understand that unexpected things happen. Installers have vehicle problems, and we are not unreasonable about that. What we are disappointed by is how Lowe's has handled the situation and the complete lack of effort to make things right. We have been loyal Lowe's customers, but after this experience, we are seriously questioning whether we would purchase another major appliance from the company. We are not looking for perfection. We are looking for accountability, communication, and some effort to make a very frustrating experience right.
