McCoys aka Mammoth Memories is THE souvenir shop in Mammoth. Want those M mountain stickers you see on everyone cars? They got them. Want gifts and souvenirs for all your snowboarding, snow loving, friends and family? They got everything you need! I was in need of some cute souvenirs for myself and friends, so asked where would the best spot in Mammoth be. The consensus was Mammoth Memories. Located in the Mammoth lakes shopping center and town mid point it was easy to find this spot. Staff here are very nice, they leave you alone to shop but when you need anything they are very helpful and friendly. I loved this store because they had everything I could want and need. Shirts, sweaters, stickers, patches, baby clothes, home goods like cups and mugs, hats and jerseys. This shop is unmatched and I appreciated that they carried both mammoth gear and also represented June lake. All of the clothing items were soft and well made. Yes, the shop is a little pricey. I do get those complaints but it's the #1 tourist shop in town and at least the clothing is quality and soft. Just be mindful it's $$$ - for example I bought one t-shirt, a baby onesie and a handful of stickers and quickly ended up at $80+. Yikes. But I liked everything I got and it's nice to have memories of your trip so I'd still recommend this shop as it had a good variety, plenty of sizes, and staff were nice. read more

This place was pretty neat, souvenirs for everybody including your Car with those cool M stickers we even got one in white. It's located at The Village of course very touristy but they have some cool shops here. As you Enter they have so many items you can pick from. They have from sweaters, t-shirts, socks, shot glasses you name it they have it. The store is very organized and I appreciated the help form one of the staff there i wasn't able to find my size in the clearance section and the shirt was pretty cool so she went to go look in the inventory they had and was able to find me my shirt in my size. Usually some stores will tell you that's all we have and dismiss you but she took 10 minutes exactly and found my size. Excellent customer service! The prices can be a bit higher of course but the quality of the t-shirt I got was great and it's not your typical off brand t-shirts that's shrunk after one use. The quality is there. I also scored some socks and paid regular price for first pair and got the other pair for 1 penny (win win) love me a bargain. Excellent shop! read more

My go to for all kids presents year after year. Not this year. The whole kids section was Heather gray. I don't know any kids that like gray. Such a disappointment. Typically, there's at least pink & blue, some bright colors. This year...GRAY. Saving grace was the manager guy who was so helpful, checked inventory of all MMSA stores and was all around pleasant. June 2023 I liked McCoy's shop at the Village in Mammoth. The store was clean and organized. It looked pleasant. My grandkids like to get stuffed animals so we checked this store out for them. We found our stuffed toys and as we went to pay, the cashier was busy flirting with a coworker. She rung up my purchase and as I was getting my payment she picked up her phone and started checking her texts. Right there. At the front counter. With a customer standing in front of her! I had to ask her , "Am I inconveniencing you?" She was confused so I told her that I didn't want my purchase to take away from her phone time. She got a little flustered and handed me my receipt. No bag. No "Thank You". I had to ask for a bag for all of our items. I like the store overall. Some stuffed animals were a good prices while others were quite high. The customer service was really bad! I'm sure the workers are seasonal, but they really should be trained on giving the customer their full attention and keeping their phones in their pockets! read more

Just learned that the popular Mammoth Mountain crown logo is exclusive to shops like McCoy and the MM ski area souvenir shops. So instead of getting cheaper knick knacks from the cheaper shops, I had to suck it up and purchased tees from McCoy's. Souvenir and apparel shop right at an entrance to the Village at Mammoth area. Prices are high as to be expected in this type of shop in a tourist area. I got a cozy sweater which I love though, and a fridge magnet for our collection for travel fridge magnets. read more

If you want a Mammoth branded souvenir shirt, this is the place to go. However the items are overpriced and the quality is very average (t-shirts are rough, hoodies are heavy and will shrink, nothing is soft or made of high end, soft fabrics). A cool spot to get gifts, they have apparel , mugs, lots of stuff even candy. Don't beleive there's bathrooms, price is like any other store. The customer service is nice. I stopped at the trailer at the mill today to buy a beanie and some sunglasses and met the nicest worker ever! I stopped and chit chated with her as I made my purchases and just had such a nice interaction with her! Her name is Brooklyn and if you get the pleasure of having her tend to you, you won't be disappointed she had amazing customer service and was just a guinene nice person to stop and talk to! Came in to get some Mammoth memorabilia for myself and family members. Was assisted right away and the staff member, I think his name was Max, was very knowledgeable on where everything was in the store. Named after the famous Dave McCoy, this is the biggest souvenir shop in town. Is it the best? Absolutely not. Prices are sky high with little selections. The shop is big don't get me wrong, but the majority of the things are rather plain or just plain ugly. Sorry to say. Bummer. Free beanie with a $75 purchase. That's cool, but bags are not free. So I was very disappointed by this joint... It is an official Mammoth Mountain Ski Area swag dispensary. They have all kinds of jackets, hoodies, and shirts for the most part here. The staff is friendly, but not overly so. The management is somewhat prone to double speak, as they may state one thing to staff and then contradict it in what they tell the customer. Then again perhaps the staff is just not clear on what the manager's state. My thought, is that it is both misunderstanding and a push for higher profits. Pro Tip: Currently if you buy one logo item at full price, you can purchase a logo t-shirt of equal or lesser value for 50% off. The Mammoth Mtn branded gear is a fairly small area with a limited number of items. Disappointingly, I was going to get something for my daughter, but they didn't carry it in her size and there was very little there for her age group. I was also a bit disappointed by the way some of the embroidery on the logo gear was done as it was not kept flat but caused the material to slightly bubble in odd ways around it. Overall, this is a smart place to buy a shirt with the Mammoth logo on it, but otherwise, yeah I will pass and not get anything here in the future... I have to say, the clothes that they have here are super nice and this is a more upscale place. If you're okay spending over $150 for ehh kind of snow boots or over $200 for a jacket, then this is the place for you. They had lots of beanies, and snow jackets and a selection of snow shoes and that's about it. The entire time I was here, there was no cashier or anyone being helped. I'm not sure if Mammoth Memories and this place are owned by the same person (because the stores are attached) but I thought it was really strange that the store was just left unattended. Overall WAY too expensive for what you're buying. Snow jackets are typically expensive however, they're quality material or brands like Dakine or Burton. The jackets here seemed like cheaper material and still costed just as much as a good jacket. read more

This may be one of the better places to get Mammoth souvenirs. Just like everything up on the mountain you are going to pay dearly for them but that is a part of life at a ski resort. McCoy Sports is located right in the middle of The Village....with a brand new location in the Village Gondola building. You can find just about anything you might need on the mountain. Pants, hats, shoes, sunglasses, gloves...you get the picture. One of my few complaints is that with some of the more popular items they seem to run out of sizes and some of the actual items themselves. The sweatshirt I really wanted to bring home to my wife seemed to be a bit on the small side but they only had it in medium. It is not like it is the end of the season when they should be running out of inventory. Also some of the workers seemed to have a bit of an attitude but it was super busy so it could have been nerves. I still did get the sweatshirt...and even a couple stickers for the back of my car. Now I just have to figure out which color sticker to put on my windshield. :0) read more

This is the spot to get your $$$ Mammoth gear. Pricey, but to be expected. Make sure you buy a bag to put your purchases in. You gotta look good walking around in the village. Cool shirts, hoodies, magnets, and crap. Spend 75 bucks and get a free beanie right now. My family was so proud of the free beanie they got. (No bag though, love you guys) Larger sizes seemed lacking. If you are bigger then a extra medium, you may have to opt for something else then what you want. Pretty nice sports store in the Mammoth Village. It has a nice offering for men and women. It offers some fun Mammoth merchandise. It's not cheap, expensive, but they have some stuff on sale at the end of the season. Some things inside are interesting. The food here is pretty good.. Their chili is sooooo good.. But I'm giving it 3 stars because of the price.. It is outrageous.. Not just couple bucks over.. But expensive.. The store was mostly stocked with casual outdoor clothing with quite a bit of it with the mammoth ski logo on the items. This is the #1 place to buy official Mammoth souvenirs!! They have everything you can possibly imagine for a day on the slopes like jackets, pants, helmets, goggles, and lip balm. They have all the souvenirs you could possibly need like T-shirts, hats, mugs, stickers, license-plate frames, sweatshirts, hoodies, and more. They even have little snacks and beverages including soda for sale and sometimes coffee! They have excellent customer service and will help you find the perfect gift or item to remember your trip forever. Like many of the shops in mammoth, the village specificallly, the merchandise is a bit pricey. I can't remember which shop it was but I know it was in the village. A t-shirt was like $80! This review is less about the place and more about Hanna, the young lady behind the counter. My friend and I wandered in on a quiet Tuesday morning and after looking around, chatted with her about local hiking trails. She pulled out a map and happily suggested a few she'd been, herself. It was such a nice tone to set the rest of our time in Mammoth Lakes (Of course, we bought a few things.). Waiting in line to purchase items. Waited 10 minutes while the one girl took care of someone buying 10 items. The other girl saw us waiting but played on her phone until another person just walked up behind us and went over to phone playing girl to check out. Neither girl, especially the thin one with long stringy dirty blond hair playing on her phone acknowledged us, nor apologized for not taking us on order. Worst experience with customer service. and management. I purchased a Columbia jacket for $175 and later in the day found that the same jacket is sold by competitors for $90. I tried to return the jacket and the front desk employee said he could only give me store credit. I requested to speak with the manager and the manager said they wouldn't even give me store credit and you cannot return a used item as is stated on the receipt (even though it was only used for 3 hours). Later, I requested the director of the store to at least give me a price match as a courtesy. She agreed, as long as the price from the competitor is for the exact same jacket. When I pulled up the lower $90 price on my phone, they doubled back on their offer and said well, the item is on sale by the competitor. It should say MSRP by the $90 or we cannot price match. That must be the stupidest thing I have ever heard in my life. The MSRP is always ONE and the same price, it cannot change. Why would the $90 price say MSRP ever? Price match has NOTHING to do with MSRP. Eventually the store's employee started raising her voice and telling me that this conversation is over. The store's manager started yelling that she does not care if I hate their store because of their experience and that she does not care if I ever come back. That was the lowest point of my otherwise memorable trip to Mammoth. read more
