She has a terrific eye for fashion displaying clothing selection and coordinated pieces that are on trend, fun, feminine and colorful- summer dresses, camo jeans, cute sweaters and tops. She also has fun jewelry and purses to match the clothing themes. I bought a unique tie die shirt and very cool camouflage slides made of yoga mat material. She gets new things in every day. I will be-stopping in daily on my walk to say Hi and add cool stylish pieces to my wardrobe! We need more cool fashion stores like this in Havertown!

So I went back today, and was pleasantly pleased that they had quite a selection of Hammitts, including the "Davis" bag that I had I seen on Hammitt's website recently that I was curious about. (It's really helpful to see handbags and purses in person so you can get a sense of the size and the feel but not many retailers sell Hammitts in this area.) Me and my wife are kind of regulars at Rocky's Pizza (same shopping plaza) so we've seen it and wondered what was inside. Well now I know! Certainly blew me away. I already mentioned the decor, but the general displays are nice as well (I work in retail, I can't help but be impressed by that). Donna took one look at my face and said, "I have the perfect dress for you." I'm between 12-14 and am working through some insecurities, so when she said that, I said "yeah, right." Donna told me I deserved to feel delicious in my dress, so I tried it on. My God. I looked and felt like a mermaid Goddess. The dress is a beautiful mermaid/trumpet style gown that hugged my curves in all the right places (I'll update with pictures soon!). It was affordable and very well-made. It is now over a month since I made this purchase and Kohl's is not issuing me a refund because they said it was from Marketplace?!!!!! I was on the Kohl's website and would never have agreed to buy this if I knew it was from a third party vendor!!! I'm still fighting for this refund. Kohl's just lost me as a customer although I don't expect them to care. Please make sure you know what is going on when you order from Kohl's so you don't have a frustrating experience!!!!

We learned that there are two kinds of stock: CONSIGNMENT items have a larger yellow tag. DONATED items have a small bright orange/red tag. They tend to keep the consigned items more towards the front of the store, also. So if you see an item and you think, wow, that's kinda high...check the tag. Chances are it's a consigned item. We browsed about and found some lovely things - FDC bought a gorgeous Italian Pottery vase and I got some very cool drinking glasses that just happen to match some shot glasses that I gave Lion a couple years ago. Score! On subsequent trips I have found an awesome set of mid-century bamboo plates for picnics (LOVE THESE!) and other fun stuff too. The staff are completely lovely people, the store is clean, well lit and well organized. Proceeds benefit survivors of domestic violence - they have a shelter for victims and also fund programs. Parking is super easy (pro tip - avoid the crowds, small parking lot behind the Barnes & Noble easy in/easy out!). Heck, yeah, I'll be back. It's a great little store supporting a very needed service in our area.

I would understand this if the larger dress actually fit, but I'm always swimming in it instead. Be ready to spend some serious cash if you come here. This place is definitely pricey. It is usually justified by the quality and brands of the clothing, but not always. Similar pricepoint and selection to Nordstrom or Lord and Taylor. They carry some of the same stuff as these department stores too. It's worth a look if you're willing to spend good money for your clothes.
