It is mostly because I cannot shake this gut feeling that I was not given its true value. I am mostly at fault for not doing more research for comparison purposes and asking more questions at the moment of transaction. However, I do believe as a professional businessman, the owner should have shared more information such as showing me the weight of earrings on scale and his analysis of its purity. He did not speak at all other than giving me his offer. Also since this information is not written on the invoice, the language on the invoice: "I understand that falsifying statements herein are subject to the penalties of 18 PCSA sec 4909" will not apply. Too late and a big lesson learned for me. I encourage everyone to ask a lot of questions and ensure more info is written on the receipt!

Man helping me at the time who was not the owner took it in the back ...why? He didn't say... I kept calling him hello, hello but he wouldn't come out . In the meanwhile the owner stepped into the store. I asked what is going on and why they took my jewelry in the back? He quickly said "we have to check it" I believe that could and should be done in front of the customer. If any verification needed could also be done in the front of the store even if not directly on the counter but you shouldn't have someone walking away with tens of thousands of dollars ... eventually he did bring everything back. Insisted that I show him rest of my jewelry that was in the box. I refused. He insisted saying "I know you have like 20-30 grand in there show it to me. I will buy it all " I politely refused When I asked how much he pays for a gram he said that's not how he pays. He pays for the Troy etc and started acting dismissive handing me print out sheet just confuse me even more Lastly, I asked how much he is going to pay for one particular gold watch which I previously was offered $1650 for his answer "about 750"! Even though I am local and would rather support local business this place is a no go for me Ps. Have it cleaned too! Thick layer of dust everywhere!

Usually, or at least from my experience, I am used to being paid in cash; when selling gold! Instead, I was given a check! This was on a Saturday afternoon. I thought, oh well, I will just wait until Monday morning! When I went to go cash the check on Monday; and the owner had written me bad check! I was so angry! I called and demanded the money immediately! He told me that I should come back later in the afternoon!!! I told him "no I was coming now m; and I was bringing the Lower Merion police; and that I would be back in 45 minutes! I returned at the time I said... all this man was concerned about was his Google and yelp reviews... Well, I just thought I would put this here for future customers...I will be sticking with my usual guy in Wayne

I had originally planned on getting multiple quotes but it was so clear that they were honest, I didn't bother. Steve clearly knows his stuff, and I learned a few things in the process of selling the jewelry. I would go straight back there again without a second thought. The reality is that most pieces of jewelry just aren't special, and that their main resale value lies in the gold. This may upset some people, but it's just what is. Steve is straightforward about that which I appreciated. He told me which pieces he thought he could actually sell, and that was interesting. Highly recommend.

Several engagement rings, wedding rings and other jewelry from pandora to custom pieces have been acquired. Recently I inherited a large diamond ring that has been in my family for over 85 years but the setting was old and too large for my hand. Julia spent time with me and designed a setting on the computer that suited me perfectly. She listened to my concerns and wants and created a ring that is gorgeous! Everything I asked for was accomplished and I am extremely pleased with the results. They even added "wings" inside the ring so it can slide with ease over my knuckle and stops the diamond from turning. I'm looking forward to doing business with them again in the future.

When I went to Guy Edward's New and Estate Jewelry, they offered me ONLY $404 for 10 grams of…read more14-karat gold. This was a blatant attempt at scamming and deception from the start. The shop was cluttered and unclean, setting a questionable tone. They tried to convince me that I needed to apply an additional 54% reduction on the 14-karat gold price, even though the spot price of $71 per gram was already adjusted for purity. This was just a tactic to lower their offer even more. They also lied about the weight of my gold, claiming I had only 9.7 grams when the reality was different. In contrast, Dublin Jewelers offered me a fair and honest price of $760 for the gold and an additional $105 for the gemstones, totaling $865. This stark difference highlighted how much Guy Edward's was trying to not just shortchange me but completely rip me off and take advantage of a potentially unknowing customer. They were not only undervaluing the gold but also ignoring the actual weight and the value of the gemstones. What made the situation even more frustrating was that when I initially went in, I pretended not to know anything about the actual gold value. Once I mentioned the correct spot price, they looked surprised and tried to gaslight me one last time, but ultimately they gave up once it was clear that I knew exactly what was going on. The entire Family and Staff joined in on the dishonest tactics, collectively trying to gaslight me and push me into thinking the other shop made a miscalculation. It was a coordinated effort to rob me. Gold price is easy to see there should be no games played with the price they knew there is zero excuse for this even removing the value of stones they were trying to rob me as Dublin Jewelers offered me 760$ for gold ALONE comparing that to Guy Edward's offer of 404$ it's clear this wasn't just them offering a bad rate but them completely trying to take advantage of me and steal from me. In summary, Guy Edward's Jewelry is not trustworthy. They knew what they were doing and chose to deceive me anyway. I strongly advise anyone considering doing business there to look elsewhere and choose reputable jewelers like Dublin Jewelers. This business is NOT helping their customers get the full value for their precious metals . They thought I was someone who didn't know any better and tried to exploit me extremely disappointing to see people treat others like this. Buying gold makes money already there is no need to scam. Pure greed this is worse than a just bad offer it's a scam. (Gold on table is what they offered only $404)
