Her car was dead. Wouldn't shift into gear. Could be the transmission... wouldn't start, had to be towed. This is an acid test for how good a shop is because here comes the stranger with maybe a bad transmission. And if you're going to gouge somebody, that's the person to gouge, right? So we tow it in at noon on a Friday. It's fixed by 4:00 the same day, and the total charge is two hundred dollars. I am a Yelp Elite from Magnolia, Texas, and I'm a real customer. My grandson's car over heated late at night, so he left our car sitting outside this garage. The…read morenext morning we talked to them and Justin and Trevor were wonderful about looking at it that day, even though the garage was full. They provided an estimate and fixed what we all assumed was the only problem. The repair price was reasonable and we had no trouble contacting them when we had questions. They took my grandson on a test drive and it did not indicate any further problems. After my grandson finished paying and went back outside. The car would not start. This problem totally bum fuzzelled everybody at first. They replaced one module and only charged me for the part. Then there was another sensor that they suspected. After replacing it-with no charge for labor, then consulting with multiple mechanics, it came down to pulling a spark plug and discovering that it was wet. They took the time to work up an estimate for the head gasket replacement. That job was more than I was able to spend at that time. They allowed us to come pick it up with no additional charges. If they were closer to where I live, they would have made a lifetime customer. The best I can do is to recommend them to anyone that's in their area.

This review is more about the experience I had when calling to ask a question. I had my check…read moreengine light pop on, stopped by Auto Zone to have it scanned and it told me the issue was my VVT Solenoid. This was for a 2016 Santa Fe Limited. I called Hyundai, 3 week wait just to get an analysis, a couple other places gave me 5-7 days before they could analyze it and told me it would be north of $400 to fix (minimum). Then I talked to Tyler at Christian Brothers. He was willing to set up a time to check out the SUV but he also asked me a couple questions. He told me the Hyundai was known to be an internal oil burner and asked when I had my last oil change. Ironically, it was a little overdue but no warnings or anything. He said if it was a little low it could set off that solenoid issue and he advised me to get a good oil change, drive the vehicle a couple of days and see if it resets itself. If not, they would be happy to look at it. Guess what? He was 100% accurate. I changed the oil, the check engine light went off. I even had the vehicle scanned again to check and there was no code error. Imagine that, a company giving sound advice to help you and not keeping their knowledge for profit. Thanks Tyler for being inquisitive, helpful and saving me an expense that would have been unnecessary. That customer care alone made me a loyal customer.
