Terrible terrible place if you're a woman. I went there after i had severe cramps and was literally on the ground in severe pain. Went here and the doctor James Bianchi kept trying to shove a pregnancy test down my throat after i knew i wasn't pregnant. I told them these symptoms have been going on for years and they didn't do a blood test or x-ray or anything all they did was make me take a pregnancy test and scolded me the entire time. The worst part is my grandmother wasn't even allowed to come back with me and i felt so alone and ashamed for nothing. They were not respectful nor would they listen to me when i kept telling them my symptoms this is why i hate male doctors because they are never respectful and considerate. James Bianchi shame on you. You should never be a doctor. Your nurses were more help than you ever will be. read more

You would be better off driving hours to another hospital. currently have been here for 7 hours for an ER visit with my gf, didn't get checked in until hour 2, no one talked to us until hour 4, they are just now starting to do tests. all staff besides 1 has been extremely rude and seemed as if they had better things to do. read more

I went to the emergency room after suffering extreme pain for 2 weeks resulting in very little sleep. Was told I had a pulled muscle in my back. The Dr did not lift my shirt. I live alone and could not see my back. He ordered a shot for pain which did nothing. A week later I was able to get in with an orthopedic specialist who lifted my shirt and saw I had been suffering with shingles. My insurance company paid the emergency room over $2200. And I paid $100. For what? I would give negative star review if it was available. read more

The coined nickname amongst Miami University students for this hospital is "McKill'em and Hide'em". Hands down the worst hospital I have ever been to. After breaking my nose during a flag football game I was taken into the ER where I was processed for about half an hour, then sat in waiting room for 2 hours to see a doctor who told me I had to get X-rays after 3 X-rays, they had to retake one cause they botched it, and another hour of waiting the doctor came back and told me my nose "wasn't broken" and sent me home with 4 vicodin and told me to ice it so the swelling would go down. My nose was 2 inches left of where it should have been and any normal person could clearly see it was broken. I saw a Ear Nose and Throat specialist back home over Thanksgiving and had corrective surgery over Christmas to re-break and straighten my nose. I have heard countless horror stories from friends, everything from misdiagnosing a shattered heal as a sprained ankle to unnecessarily performing a spinal tap (if you don't know spinal taps are extremely dangerous and painful). Avoid this death trap of a hell hole at all cost! If you get injured near Oxford pray to whatever god you worship you don't get taken here. I would let pre-med students at Miami treat me before accepting care here. I will only go to Dayton or Cinci now and will make EMTs care flight me there if it is an emergency rather than be put under the care of these incompetent twat-waffle quacks. Anyone who rates this hospital well is a townie who was dropped on their head here as a baby. read more

Please understand, the service we received at McCullough-Hyde wasn't horrible. It was actually pretty good. So why one star? They are a bunch of dishonest, indolent, sneaky charlatans who have probably bilked hundreds if not thousands of people. Well, they at least tried to bilk me... First off, bills arrive listing a total charged, a total paid by insurance and a total now due from you. No itemization, no explanation, no details. Pay up! It doesn't really matter how we got to this total amount, just send us a check. Something about that just doesn't seem right to me (I tried to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau but they aren't listed there -hmmmmmmm). Secondly, they "forgot" to bill our insurance for a portion of the egregiously overpriced services they provided. Well, they said they sent something but never heard back. The insurance company has no record of this. So what did McCullough-Hyde do? They didn't hear from the insurance company so they just billed us directly instead - FOR THE FULL AMOUNT. I'm not a huge fan of ubiquitous Internet acronyms but WTF?!? Instead of doing it the correct way, you're just going to send us a blatantly inaccurate bill and hope we don't check up on it? How many people have been hustled out of who knows how much money by this tactic? Ugh... The real kicker, though, is the amount of the charges. Our time in the hospital was less than four hours total. The amount for which we were billed exceeded what we were charged (at a different hospital) for three full days when our daughter was born! Three full days! How can the charges for three hours equal those for three days?!? We aren't talking about laser brain surgery or anything crazy like that. So people, pay super close attention to your bill when it comes from McCullough-Hyde! My family will NOT be utilizing them ever again. Ever. read more

My daughter, a MU student, was badly hurt (not life threatening) on a weekend night. The ER was acceptable, but the ER doc made a repair that should have been done by a specialist and had to be redone. The nurse in the ER was amazing, since we were over 2000 miles away. She was compassionate and helpful. Our daughter then had the repair surgery at McCoullough Hyde, performed by the amazing town ortho, Dr. Craig Beirer. The surgical staff and facility was amazing. They took great care of my girl. read more

We had a similar experience to what Rob L and his wife did... we had our baby here at the end of February and I am still amazed and grateful for the level of care we got from the entire staff. My labor was not a short one, and I ended up having to have a c-section, but our nurse Debbie and her trainee Angela were with us from start to finish. The team that performed my c-section was also incredible, in particular the nurse anesthetist Randy. He made me feel as comfortable as one can be when having another human being surgically removed from your body. :) The aftercare both I and our baby received from the other staff of the OB floor - in particular another nurse named Debbie and one named Vanessa - made the entire process unforgettable in the best possible way. read more

There is not one part of this hospital that I have a positive thing to say about. My bestfriend had her baby boy yesterday, 12-17-18. Today is 12-18-18. Not even 24 hours after a c-section, she has been treated as if she should have this all under control. She is in excruciating pain. She feels alone. Again, her first child and not even 24 hours after birth. She has been lucky enough to have her family and friends here. We have been basically doing the nurses job. A nurse came through here a little bit ago, and would not even offer to help my friend out of bed when she needed to use the restroom. Another friend in the room helped her out of the hospital bed as the nurse stood there and watched. It was extremely obvious that she was in a lot of pain and needed help. I wont say that ever single nurse that comes through here is like this, but the fact is that NONE of the staff here should be so cold to a patient. She went over 8 hours without pain medication and when the nurse was to be getting the medication, we saw her out heating up her food like my friend and her son are not even a priority. She looked at me in tears and said, "I should have never had him here" This has been completely pathetic and disappointing. No one should ever have to go through this. I'm glad for the people who have had a positive experience, but pay attention to the negative reviews. This place is a joke. What I have shared is only a glimpse of the issues she has encountered here that I have witnessed. read more

FIRST OF ALL I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE THIS PLACE A -100 stars. Absolutely hands down the worst hospital and health care system I have ever been to. Back in December I went to the Emergency Room where they did an EKG on me. The results where normal and I was sent home after being treated for the issue I went in for. That ER experience was some what okay. The nurse was nice but then doctor was absolutely one of the worst doctor's I have ever had. One of my immediate family member's is a doctor so I know what meets good doctor criteria. So Fast forward to this past month, I have had some awful heart issues after having covid. My cardiologist that is part of a different health system and way better health system wanted to take the normal EKG that was taken back in December at this awful ER and compare it with my abnormal EKG that was taken this month. After getting a hold of McCullough Hyde and trihealth to retrieve my EKG, I was told they lost my results and have no evidence of even performing an EKG on me that night in the ER. I have no words. I wouldn't even take my dogs to any trihealth facility. You wonder why there is always a helicopter flying over the town of Oxford most days of the week? Well that's literally other hospital systems coming to pick up patients that this ER knows if they actually treat they might kill them. As a college student it scares me that this hospital is my only option if I have a cardiac emergency or any other emergency in my college town. There have also been students coming forward who have been sexually assaulted and taken to this hospital and have been told by medical professionals of this hospital to not report it to the police or press any charges. I would LOVE to rip someone high up a new one at TriHealth. I always will be going to Christ Hospital and UC Health facilities from now on. I will never understand how one of the biggest health systems in the southwest Ohio area can just loose test results and patient history with technology so advanced these days. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. Go to Fort, Cincinnat, Indy, Vinny who works a pop up stand on the corner of some random street. Chances are if you have something serious they will miss it and you will Die. About as blunt as I can put it. Tri-Health has ruined any hope of this place being taken as a serious hospital. The doctors don't give a sh**. Too busy flirting with the staff. They will walk in the ER room and out all within 2 minute. Your fine go home. Oxford likes having their hospital but honestly they'd be better off without it. Terrible place. Seems like most docs got their degree online. Trust me, you'll have to go elsewhere to get the correct diagnosis. Dr. Bianki or however it's spelled SHOULD NOT be a doctor. Bout as knowledgable and useful as a lump of cr&p. And who are these people Tri-Health is paying to give this place 5 stars. Please feel free to reach out if you would like to go in on a lawsuit. Not that they'd care but oh well. Huh, strange that a bunch of random people on here have the same complaints about this doc but Tri-Health doesn't seem to see the problem. No sense of urgency. That is the theme at McCullough-Hyde. Don't get me wrong, the service was adequate... so long as you're in no rush. Came in for a chest x-Ray for my recent lung collapse. 45 minutes waiting in an empty reception to be checked in, 1 hour waiting in the radiology area, and then another hour of waiting for results. The service was adequate but front to back, almost all staff was not friendly and annoyed in general. Refuse to go here again. I'll choose the 30 minute drive to Hamilton over going here again. read more

My wife and I just had our baby in July of 2010. I will always suggest having your baby here, we had a nurse who had already worked 10 or so hours and was supposed to get off at 8 that evening and ended up staying until our daughter was born around 11 p.m. Great doctors and nurses. I continue to receive very good care while in the hospital for whatever services I am in need of. It began 12 yrs ago with a baby delivery, numerous ER visits and mammograms. The staff has gone through changes but continues to be an important part of this community. We need to continue to utilize this hospital for the many services it provides. The worst experience I have ever had at a emergency department. The staff out front and nurses in the back were incompetent. I took my girlfriend there at 12:15 am, on Saturday July 11, 2015. There was noone in the waiting room and my friend was crying in obvious pain, so instead of putting her in a private area, admissions spends 20 minutes asking dumb questions and then proceeds to place us back in the waiting room. When we finally got to on the back, admissions comes to the room to ask the SAME questions that they asked earlier. All the while my friend still cannot speak because of the pain. Eventually a nurse with an attitude shows up, and 1 hour later the doctor makes it in the room. The entire hospital staff was lounging around, hanging out. No pain meds for 2.5 hours. Eventual diagnosis Ruptured Appendix. Awful hospital, I wouldn't let an enemy go there for treatment. read more

Our son plays high-level hockey so we get lots of experience with injuries and hospitals. We usually go to Children's Hospital in Cincinnati for his care. This time the injury only required a short cast on an arm and we figured anyone can do a cast. Apparently not!! The staff at MH hospital was friendly, but said to not get the cast wet. Casts from Children's are waterproof. This is worth considering when you or your child will be wearing and bathing in the cast for 4 - 6 weeks. This cast also lacks the layer of cushion between the cast and arm. This layer provides considerably more comfort for the 4 - 6 of wear. Lastly, the cast has started to peel apart in 2 weeks. Our son is very careful with casts as he wants to get back on the ice ASAP. The peeling is not due to abuse of the cast. Future cast work and care of our son will all be at Children's Hospital. Also of note, the UC Sports Health is excellent and worth the drive. read more

My experience at McColoughyde has been terrible. I came in for a hysterectomy. Everyone was great, until i went to ob floor. The nurse on that floor Lynn. She argued with me, raised her voice very unprofessional of her. My pain was never under control. That treat people like addicts. Not everyone is. I was never given a menu to eat. When i woke neck up the cafeteria was closed. As upset as i was and pain i was in. I was wanting to just go home. I could take car of myself better. Also i could eat, if i was at home. Its been the worst experience at a hospital ive ever had. read more

The care you get at this hospital is wonderful. Now their billing department are full of idiots. You call to make financial arrangements, and they tell you they put it in the computer. Next thing you don't get bills for a couple months, so you call and they turn you over to a collection agency. On their bills, the just list hospital services, then you have to call and ask them what the bill is for. They love to double and triple bill you for the same services. If you go here, make sure you keep your eye on the bills, and get names of who you talk to. I was hung up on, when I called to ask why they were turning over a $20.00 bill, when I told them I would pay it when I got the bill. Whoops no bill. Called them and ask about it, was told they sent a bill. Whoops no bill. I had two TKR done. The first one they double and tripled billed me for services and I caught them. The second one I wanted the bills so I could attach a copy of my check so I could avoid them double and triple billing me. Kind of hard to do when they forget to bill you. I wonder how much money they make, through these shenanigans? Just watch your bills with this hospital read more

My daughter was rushed to this hospital. She could not say enough about the wonderful, kind staff, ER doc, ICU doctor and nurses. When I arrived, I was immediately welcomed and updated. The nursing staff made sure that I had everything I needed for staying overnight. Sure, it's a small hospital, but I thought that the care was excellent and that the people were attentive to our needs. read more

I came into the hospital in extreme pain, a level 10 on their description level. The receptionists were taking their sweet time while I was bent over in pain. After finally getting into the ER, the doc prescribed me morphine immediately, however it took 20 minutes+ to get it. The doctor said she thought I had appendicitis, but when they took me for my CT scan they said they were looking for stones of some kind. I ended up having neither. I was admitted and stayed for three days. The nurses were all very nice, but I would push the call button and it would just beep for 30 minutes before they would respond. One time after waiting they finally asked what I need and I said I needed to talk to my nurse, an HOUR later we called again and talked to the charge nurse. They have students nurses running around the hospital that tell you all sorts of conflicting information. I even complained about the timing and NOTHING changed. Never again will I come here. I'm so glad that I wasn't dealing with anything life threatening. We've had SEVERAL doctor friends say they wouldn't step foot in this place for care. That should tell you something.... read more

THIS HOSPITAL IS A FARCE. I was recently sent to the emergency room at his taco shack for a serious condition and they did absolutely nothing more than give me a pair of horrendous socks. They completely neglected to treat most of my injuries, some, but not limited to, a bleeding hand and a traumatic brain injury. I asked for further care options and they laughed and expected me to walk home. I am appalled and would recommend risking the drive to Cincinnati. read more

We took my 12 yr old there for a broken arm on a friday. They said it was a regular break and to take him to get a cast on Monday. Monday roles around and we take him to Children's hospital and they say it is a bad break and the bone should have been straightened before the hospital put it in the splint. Children's hospital could barely get it within 10deg in order for it to heal. He has to go back every week for 3 weeks to make sure it doesn't move. I would never go to this hospital again! read more
