Bad experience at this hospital no sense in an elderly patient laying in a bed for 7 hrs when they are already upset and agitated.

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my review on google. Unfortunately, your reply has…read moreadded to the discomfort of my experience rather than helping to resolve it. As someone who works in management and customer service, I was hoping for a professional, empathetic, and apologetic response that acknowledged my concerns. Instead, the tone of the response felt defensive and dismissive, which was disappointing. My original review was written professionally and with the intention of voicing my experience in hopes of constructive improvement. I have nothing personal against anyone at the clinic. However, being met with hostility rather than understanding does not reflect the level of care, respect, or professionalism patients should expect--especially in a healthcare setting where feeling safe, heard, and respected is essential. I would also like to clarify the statement regarding my insurance. I was very clearly informed that I was waiting due to a clean room, not because of insurance-related issues. Referencing my insurance instead of acknowledging this miscommunication further demonstrates a lack of accountability. Additionally, mentioning having a biracial child does not negate or invalidate my experience. While representation and inclusivity are important, that statement raised additional concern, as it does not address the issue at hand and should not be used as a defense against a patient's lived experience. There are many free and accessible resources available that offer guidance on responding to reviews from a professional, business-oriented perspective rather than from a place of personal emotion. Utilizing such tools could help ensure future responses are constructive and aligned with best practices in patient care and customer service. I am sharing this feedback not out of malice, but in hopes that the clinic will reflect, take accountability, and move forward in a way that ensures all patients feel understood, respected, and safe.

We had to come here while we were on a road trip and after my mom got bit by my aunt's dog. Let's…read morejust say that this place probably had all the people of Texarkana in the emergency room when we went, and they were some interesting people. The doctor we met was nice, but did nothing to clean out/irrigate my mom's very deep dog bite. He did correct my sub par medical patch up job (sorry, I was on a road trip trying to move my family and their angry dog so I didn't have the best first aid stuff with me), but he did zero to keep her wound from getting infected or make sure her wound was patched up. She didn't even get fresh band aids out of it. He then ordered two antibiotic shots for her, which should have been a 20-30 minute wait time, but 2 hours later, and after asking the very surly nurse two to three times about my mom's status, she finally got her shot, and then an hour later her discharge papers came through. Had I known we were going to get treated/ not treated behavior like this, I would have just had my mom wait until she got home the next day. You can definitely tell that patient satisfaction is not the top of their priority list. Now why did I give three stars and not less than that? You can tell this place is the only medical treatment place for a lot of people. Whole families brought their family members in for just regular check ups under the guise of an "illness". This tells you the horrible state of medical care in this country, that an emergency room is the only way you can get seen by a doctor for all problems. The fact this place was this packed on a weekday night says a lot about how cuts to medical care in our country are affecting small towns. The cramped waiting area from the amount of people here, seeing what families were coming in for just basic medical care, and how frustrated the staff was because of the amount of cases, is a reflection of how our medical care in this country is broken. Would I come back here? No, I would rather bleed out than put up with the lack of care you receive here. At least with my sad attempt at first aid, I would do it with a smile.

Based on the multitude of poor reviews, it seems as though this facility does not care to improve…read morein any way, but my review will serve as record of the abhorrent treatment my mother received at this facility starting on January 19th. On Thursday January 19th I found my otherwise healthy mother on the floor of her bedroom and called 911. During her fall she cut her forehead and was bleeding. Paramedics arrived and took her to Paris Regional Medical Center Emergency room and we followed in our vehicle. At first glance, they were stating it looked like a heart attack. When we arrive at the ER, there are several folks in stretchers, we're all lined up in a hallway and there is no one trying to organize the situation. A nurse at some point started asking people who had arrived first, there did not seem to be any medical prioritization at all. The staff in this area is not just jaded, but insensitive and without beside manners. My mother is slurring her words and having a very difficult time and the nurses asked if this is her 'normal' state. One of the attending Dr's, in an attempt to be humorous, asked if she had too much whiskey. My mother does not drink and it frankly was not the time for such jokes. Lastly, the nurse attending that evening with red hair should never be patient facing. My mother cried for us to find someone else to assist her, she was traumatized by this nurses demeanor and I also was subjected to her unprofessionalism until I asked to speak with a dr. I'm guessing, should someone be interested, you can research her name. I did not catch it and when I asked her, she ignored me and walked out of the room. After this horrific experience, my mother was admitted the following day and we spent the rest of the time on floor 4. The staff on this floor is hard-working, they're stressed and they are understaffed. This was obvious from day one. They had a hard time keeping people from smoking on the floor, many patients cried out for help for what seemed like 30 minutes or more and no one came. It felt as though we'd left the US and we're in some 3rd world hospital facility that lacked the basics and everyone was trying to do the best they could with limited resources. This hospital has limited cafeteria hours. So on the first night for my mother on the 4th floor, you can imagine our surprise that they forgot to put her on the dinner list. She had no food restrictions, they simply forgot. Since the cafeteria is closed, we had to drive elsewhere to get her some food. As recent transplants to Paris, we are shocked at this facility, and that's an understatement. This entire situation is ripe for a lawsuit, and I'm certain it will happen as more folks are moving to the area and will ascertain that this behavior and lack of regard for your patients is your status quo. Shame on the ER staff for your lack of compassion and professionalism. Shame on the hospital for limiting your nurses and caregivers to the point where they forget to order food for their patients. This must improve!
