Rude staff, very long wait, very rushed "adjustment", no real care given. First strange thing - they leave the phone for the number listed on Groupon intentionally "off the hook" so that you can't actually reach them. (Saw/heard this personally while in the office.) The only way I booked was by finding their real number on here. Second, they don't let you book the massage and adjustment for the same day; which makes no sense whatsoever and they know it. This is just to get you to spend more money the second time you come in, so that you purchase another adjustment after finally getting that massage (which is how it should actually be scheduled in the first place..) Upon arriving it was very difficult to locate the proper suite. I asked the girl at the desk if there would be a wait to see the chiropractor, as I would then move my car closer to the right area in the meantime. She assured me that "No, we run very much on schedule."... She then led me to another room, which was occupied, so then put me alone in a side room and left me there for half an hour (no joke). Finally she retuned and told me that the room she originally wanted was now available, and brought me back over there. Twenty minutes later the chiropractor abruptly burst into the room. He spent all of about 5 minutes with me. This man (McDonald) could not have been more rushed, or have appeared more interested in getting me out the door. He offered no moment to even relax, and snapped my next without warning. I've seen many chiropractors in my life; but have relocated now and tried this guy. THIS WAS THE WORST CHIROPRACTIC EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. After snapping my neck without letting me even relax for it first, that was surprisingly the end of his "adjustment". Just a tense neck snap; not even one fourth of what a proper chiropractic adjustment entails - and this guy knows that full well. What an awful "caregiver". Ended up with more tension that ever the next day. Total waste of time and money. read more

Dr. Mcdonald really helped me with my lower back when I could hardly walk on my right leg. He adjusted me then his massage therapist Danielle was amazing and gave me a deep tissue massage and really eased my pain. I highly recommend him and his team. read more

Dr Lind has been my Chiropractor since he purchased this business. His office staff are very efficient and friendly. Recently I visited for a periodic general adjustment. He mostly uses the activator. This time he used a strong setting and my pain began just after I left the office. This was Wednesday so I thought I had 2 more weekdays to resolve this situation. I started taking Aleve and icing but the pain was preventing me from every aspect of my life. I saw the Dr Friday morning and then again that afternoon. I remarked that there was NO emergency phone number to reach him after hours. He said he lives 75 miles from his office. My major issue at this point was, after sharing my concern of enduring this pain over the weekend, he did not offer his phone number and he did not call me at all to see how I was doing. My thought was after spending over 70 hours in pain, his drive 1 hour each way and a 10 minute adjustment to ease my pain was not unreasonable. Finally desperate to relieve my pain I went to Urgent Care and was treated with Prednisone. My pain is gone so I now can start looking for a different Chiropractor. read more

So happy to have found doctor McDonald! I am in from out of town and although my room accommodations are top notch, my achy neck doesn't always appreciate hotel pillows. Needless to say I woke up with a stiff neck and was need of special attention. I yelped several chiropractors here in the Palm Springs area and found Md. McDonald. I called his offices and Mayra was extremely empathetic and worked to get me an appointment immediately. They take insurance !!!! So unlike most chiros in the area all I paid was a co-pay($40). The consult was painless and I received much much needed heat and cold therapy treatments. I was there about 45 minutes and made an appointment to go back tomorrow before I leave town. I suffer from chronic neck pain from a car accident I was in a couple years back. Clearly I'm not the only person who has had a horrible interaction with Jessica and the other woman at the front counter. I was really excited about trying their lipo service and had called to ask if I could eat prior. When I called I told the woman my appointment was at 3 and she corrected me and told me it was at 330. I arrived at 330p, and the first alarm should have been when I walked in and both of the woman at the front counter looked me up and down as if I was one of place. I then said hi and told them I had an appt at 330. I signed in and then they proceeded to tell me my appt was at 3p. I mentioned that I had called and was told 330 and then Jessica cut in and basically scolded me. At that point I was done and immediately walked out, I did go back to inform them that I did not appreciate their treatment and how rude they were, I'm sure they didn't care. But as someone who runs a pretty profitable business I understand the importance of customer service and word of mouth . I was prepared to drop a significant amount of money for the treatments and I had about 4 friends who are all business professionals who were just waiting for my results to schedule their appointments. Simply put - AMAZING! Now here's the longer version. I initially came to Dr. McDonald for chiropractic services. It was here that I was introduced to his weight loss programs. After struggling for years to lose some weight and change my eating habits/ lifestyle, I decided to try the 20 day detox program. This was definitely hard, but the idea behind the 20 days is that it takes that long to break/ make habits. I did this along with some lipo light sessions. Through the process I came to understand that food is so psychological and that my habits were actually very bad. I just ended the 20 days and I have a whole new outlook on food and my relationship to it. I used to crave sweets. And when I say crave sweets, that's actually an understatement! I don't have 1 ounce of desire to eat anything sweet and can even say no to that aisle is the grocery store or when someone offers me something sweet. It's totally mind boggling to me, but the detox really works. I just make better eating decisions and they come so naturally now that I've done this detox. I lost 11 pounds and 7 inches from my stomach area, not to mention my legs and back also lost inches! All my clothes fit again and are even loose now! I could go on and on about the program that I did, but I think that does it justice. I have been given a whole new perspective on eating, managing my weight and maintain my health now because of Dr. McDonald and his staff. I still have 15-20 pounds that I'd like lose and I am going to do it with the help of them! On top of it all, the staff is amazing. Holly is so personable and goes above and beyond for patients. She really made a difference in my process and made things so easy and understandable. Dr. McDonald will be my go to from now on, and it will be for more than just chiropractic reasons. I am a patient and have seen the improvements in my hip pain being under their care, but what really has surpassed my expectations was how the entire staff has taken care of my mom with her back pain. I recently took my mom out of desperation when her back pain was not improving. We had been to her Primary care Dr .and the Emergency Room and all they were doing was bouncing her around. One visit from Dr. McDonald he instantly recognized her pain and distress, ordered and MRI and found that she had a bulging disk. Treatment begin immediately, and although she is still not 100% better she is currently under his care and treatment and can see and feel improvements. Upon walking in the welcoming staff at the front reception Rebecca and Holly always have known our name. Belinda has provided massage therapy and Dr. McDonald's treatments have improved our quality of life and decreased our pain. Dr McDonald is awesome as are the entire staff. It's very apparent that they care about wellness. I caused a major lower back spasm and have had to deal with some of the worst pain I've ever had. Dr McDonald has been able to get me to a noticeably better state of being. And has done so in a fairly short amount of time. He clearly understands not only what he's doing but the needs of the patient as well. I think this is because he genuinely listens to what the issues are. I've been to other chiropractors that just seem to want to do their job and move on to the next patient. I didn't feel this here. And I can sit up, comfortably, and write this review right now. Was a cash customer at this business and I found a Groupon offering a great deal for an adjustment and a massage. I purchased it and called McDonald Chiropractic to schedule an appointment and was very rudely told that they would not honor it because I was an existing client and to "go after Groupon" because it wasn't there problem. Groupon of course would not issue me a refund only a credit. So McDonald Chiropractic benefitted from having me as a cash customer and then also profited from a Groupon they would not honor. I'd give negative stars if possible. No offer to even work with me. Steer clear. Unless you like to be ripped off and upsold at every opportunity. They'll try and sell you other services during your entire visit there. read more

My family bought me a massage and back adjustment for my birthday and I was reluctant to go because the only massages I have ever received were from my wife and I don't feel comfortable with others touching me. I went because she spent about $50 and I didn't want it to go to wast When I got there, they immediately wanted my teacher insurance information, but I declined because I did not plan on making this place a regular stop; I only wanted my adjustment, since my sciatic nerve had been acting up and maybe one of the two massages my family had purchased. The doctor came in and checked me out briefly and told me that I would need x-rays prior to any adjustment in order to prevent any injuries; so basically he could do nothing until I submitted my insurance information for x-rays, which I believe is every doctor's goal - to rack up those insurance claims. I agreed, but never followed through with it and don't plan to ever go back. The massage was terrible - not enough pressure, and the masseuse kept massaging my ribs and love handles after I stated not to because I am extremely ticklish. I couldn't even enjoy the massage and never went back for the second one and they never called me either, which is fine with me because I don't believe in Western Medicine. read more

Absolutely one of the rudest employees Ever! Jessica dark haired lady behind the desk is hateful and very unprofessional! I booked an appointment and they wouldn't honor my certificate. My certificate was valid at the time of my scheduled appointment...by the time they had availability for my appointment it was 2 days over my certificate time. Jessica was barking orders to the lovely blonde haired lady working in the office. They lost great future customer patient. Horrible Personality and very unprofessional! Jessica handed me back my certificate and told me to ask groupon for my refund. Jessica wouldn't help and nor did she care! Her reason was...they're 3rd party??? What!
