I was taking all kinds of over the counter and prescription meds for these headaches with little relief. I've been to several chiropractors in my life so I thought I knew what to expect. Enter Dr. Jacques "Jox" Allmand -- chiropractor, healer, and possibly a wizard. On my first visit, I explained my symptoms, and while describing the neck and back pain Doc asked "how about headaches?" Without hesitation I said "all the time, every minute". He finished his assessment and said we'd get me feeling better, and "We can definitely fix those headaches." I remember thinking, "Bold claim, sir." But guess what? I have not had a single headache since my first treatment. Not one. It's been three months. I did go back for a few more treatments for my neck and back pain, as I'd been "stuck" for quite a while. I feel better than I have in years. I will be scheduling regular appointments (tune-up Tuesday!) to keep feeling this good. Dr. Jacques uses a mix of conventional and innovative techniques. He's very efficient but when you tell him about a new pain or aren't feeling quite right at the end of the session he takes the time to investigate. You and your pain will be heard. Where did I turn? Yelp! So a gigantic thank you to Yelp for this and many other helpful recommendations. Through it I found Desert on Call Chiropractic. I phoned at 9 am, they were able to see me at 2 and by 3:30 I had found relief. There was a small wait upon arrival, but once in they examined me quickly, determined the cause of my pain, placed heat and tens on me, gave me the best massage of my life and then utilized the Soft Wave treatment on me. Dr Rahn is the amazing Doctor that helped me and directed my care while I was there. I returned the next day for a follow up and went throught the same treatment and had an equally awesome massage on my back to loosen the tight muscles. Doctor Rahn has been through his own pain and musculature issues and is kind, accurate with his assesments and his adjustments and happy to share his vast knowledge with each patient. I'm not a frequent chiropractor visitor, but I really needed relief. Dr. Larry was meticulous, gentle (I'm not a big fan of the big pops and cracks), but he was firm. He spent a lot of time pinpointing the issue and explaining things to me along the way.
