I went to Dr. Nelson for a Ganglion Cyst about the size of a green grape on the inside of my right wrist (wish I had a before photo to show you how big it truly was). More importantly it throbbed and was a huge hinderance (maybe because of its location) to many of my daily activities. It also was quite ugly because of the size and location. After seeing Dr. Nelson, he said there were a couple of options: aspirated, lance it, and cortisone steroid... or ultrasound, deep laser, and heated electric stimulus. I chose the later. The wife and I hadn't had a break all year so we planned a great long getaway weekend for our anniversary in Palm Desert to relax and play some golf and tennis. Lots of planning only to have my lower back go out the day we left LA. Bad, Bad, Bad.. bone on bone, nerve on nerve pain! Thought the trip was ruined until I went to Yelp and found Dr Barry...called his office at 9am and his pleasant staff was able to make an appointment for me at 3pm the same day. Had 20 minutes of stim treatment, 5 minutes of ultrasound followed by some stretching and table adjustments from Dr. Barry. Immediately felt better! Followed up with a second visit of the same... the next morning and was at the driving range that afternoon. Next day was able to play a great round of golf PAIN FREE. I have been visiting Dr. Nelson for a recent neck and back auto injury that he has definitely helped tremendously in reducing pain and swelling. On the last visit I expressed to him that I hadn't slept in days due to the added pain of heavy monthly cramps (Uterine Fibroids). I have severe cramping and heavy bleeding that lasts for days or sometimes weeks. After just one laser treatment in the problem area, I did not need to sleep on my heating pad !!(which is dangerous but I already had done for two nights prior and normally have to do for several nights more depending) After the treatment I did not have those severe cramps and I slept so well! It is NOT A PLACEBO ---as there is no placebo that can help this situation. I can definitely attest to the effectiveness of Dr. Nelson's Chiropractic skills and his laser treatments.
