It is what McDonald's is. The food is standard for McDonald's, so that's why I give them the regular stars for a place like this. They don't have enough people working at night so expect to wait a long time. We didn't go inside so I'm not sure about the ambiance. Apparently "Value" Now Comes with a Side of Attitude Susan and I stopped at the McDonald's on Alcoa Highway this morning for what should have been one of the simplest transactions in America: two people, breakfast, drive-thru. I wanted the two-burrito meal. I couldn't find it on the menu because I was looking at the large photographs rather than trying to decipher the remarkably small print. When I asked, the employee taking our order rather curtly informed me that it was "Number 7." Fair enough--except what I could see next to Number 7 was a large picture of biscuits and gravy and no obvious picture of the burrito meal I was trying to order. When I mentioned my confusion, rather than receiving a little assistance, I received additional attitude. Susan also had difficulty identifying what she wanted, and neither of us found the tiny pricing particularly customer-friendly. Perhaps McDonald's could remember that the purpose of a menu board is to help customers order food, not administer an eye examination. We were not given our total before proceeding to the window. There we encountered more of the same decidedly unfriendly attitude. The total was $14.48, which produced a little sticker shock considering McDonald's recent emphasis on improving "value." But the real disappointment arrived when we got home--less than five minutes away. Both hash browns were cold, greasy and stale. My breakfast burritos were also cold and clearly had not been freshly prepared. The flour tortillas had achieved a consistency somewhere between shoe leather and a roofing product. This wasn't food that cooled during a long trip home; we live less than five minutes from this restaurant. Then I looked at the receipt. I had specifically ordered the advertised $6.19 meal. Without asking me, my coffee had been changed to a medium and I was charged a 20-cent "upcharge," bringing the meal to $6.39. Twenty cents obviously isn't going to alter anyone's retirement plans. The principle, however, matters. If a customer orders a $6.19 meal, the customer should receive a $6.19 meal unless the employee asks whether he wants something that costs extra. Quietly adding an upcharge that wasn't requested isn't customer service, and "it's only twenty cents" isn't an acceptable explanation. Twenty cents multiplied by thousands of transactions becomes real money. Customers should not have to audit a McDonald's receipt to make sure they received the price they actually ordered. Finally, because we paid cash, Susan apparently cannot simply load the receipt into her McDonald's app afterward to receive the points from the purchase. I prefer cash and don't use the app myself, but customers shouldn't lose loyalty credit simply because another person in the household paid for breakfast. McDonald's has spent considerable time telling customers that it has heard their concerns about value. This particular restaurant might want to start with something even more basic: Serve hot, fresh food. Charge the advertised price. Tell customers before adding an upcharge. Make the menu readable. And treat the person on the other side of the drive-thru speaker like a customer rather than an interruption. For $14.48, I wasn't expecting breakfast at the Ritz-Carlton. I was, however, expecting breakfast. read more

Spent 30-45 minutes in the drive thru just order. Waited another 10-15 waiting on my food and I had ordered a 6 piece and got 4. Normally I wouldn't care but since I spent so long waiting on my food I'd figure I at least get what I'd pay for read more

I sat at the curbside pickup for 40 minutes after I placed my order. Good luck calling them because they wont answer, good luck going inside because all the doors are locked. When I sat in the drive thru for an additional 10 minutes (there was 3 other cars in line) the women had an attitude when I asked to cancel my order after very unprofessional service. read more

I ordered through mobile app at approximately 8:31pm arrived at this location at 8:40pm then waited for a long time just to get the food through drive thru, then when I reached the window to pay for it or get the receipt, I asked the crew why it's longer wait time than generally expected, the crew didn't know about it. I was about to react but just keep myself calm and patient but obviously starting to get annoyed or impatient. Then when I reached the window to get my food, the crew said I have to go to reserved drive through lane to further wait, then when I got it, some food item was still missing, then they went back to give it. To sum it up, it took almost an hour just to grab a food on this location! I will still go to McDonald's but will not ever risk to go to this branch again. read more

I have never wanted to cry over fast food until now. I hadn't eaten in hours and finally had time to stop at McDonald's. I placed a mobile order and pulled into the drive-thru at 11:42pm. I sat for over 20 minutes before a girl said they were short staffed. I said I had a mobile order and she confirmed the name and told me to pull to the second window. When I got to the window she said "I couldn't get your order to pull up." I said that was weird because my app showed I paid for it. She asked if I ordered breakfast food and I stated I had not. She then took a step back and goes "oh it's because it's after 12am so I can't confirm it anymore." I pulled away so fast. MIND YOU GOOGLE MAPS SHOWS THEM OPEN UNTIL 1am SO WHAT DOES MIDNIGHT HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING!!?!? If their staff doesn't want to work that bad, they should be fired. HORRIBLE! I ordered 2 gravy and biscuit meals and 2 sausage egg and cheese McMuffin meals. I pulled up to the first window and paid and wasn't offered and receipt. Then I pull to the second window and was handed 4 drinks and two sausage egg and cheese McMuffins. Missing the hashbrowns and the two gravy and biscuits. This is the second time in a ROW I send my guy in there to get me some dinner and he gets random verbal abuse from the employees. First time they literally called the cops on him for telling a joke (I guess because some snowflake's feelings got hurt somehow, even though the joke wasn't at any of their expense). This time it was just some random and unwarranted snarky attitude right at the door, and being told "Feel free NOT to come back." Like, are you kidding me? We were in a rush to make it to airport to drop off our daughter. i ordered 10 picante sauce at the speaker. I requested the sauce AGAIN at the window, to which the lady and smiled and nodded her head... we drove away... THERE WERE 2 in the bag!! To some the sauce may not be a big deal but it is to us. Honestly, it's not even the lack of sauce that's so upsetting, it's the fact that customer service has gotten this bad. What is so difficult to understand? The owner Tom was there and was so friendly and nice! We are from Las Vegas and he shared his trips out To Vegas, he asked if we had seen some of the local places to see... Wish we spoke to him when we first got here-- would have like to have seen five lakes and other places! You can tell he is proud of his restaurant and his team of employees! This was are last stop before heading to the airport and just wanted a cup of coffee which was fresh and hot! I stopped by the McDonald's today and went through drive thru. My kids meals were missing the toys I had to go back around to have that issue fixed. I GET ALL THE WAY HOME ! and my quarter BACON cheese burger was missing the BACON! And it as two ! Not one but two grill slips on the box saying it was a Quater with BACON! I had to call the store 5 times just to get a manager ! When I spoke with Megan the manager not only was she rude! But when I went back to the location to have the sandwich made again she made a fuss about replacing the meal ! That THEY MESSED UP! The service at this location is going down each time I come it's always sometimes wrong with my order ! This is the last time I will use that one! Super dirty and smelt horrible! I'm not one to usually rate a place really bad, but this was BAD. We got a variety of things, "strawberry" shake that they just squirted some syrup in and didn't even mix it much. Apple pie had to of been sitting there all day because I took a bite and it was hard and the apple filling was gummy. Chicken nuggets were hard and fries were cold. Went in at 630 am to get breakfast on a Saturday. Not busy at all however I experience poor customer service. It's almost unfair that one person ruined my breakfast because everyone else seemed very polite and hard working. The lady who took my order was rude and short with me. I realize it's early but I'm up for work too! I worked in customer service for 5 years I know some days are no fun but dang! Not only was the lady rude and didn't make eye contact she got my order wrong and then acted indignant when she couldn't understand that I wanted an egg white biscuit. To top it all off I ordered a coffee which she poured and then left behind the counter. Maybe the manager should think about putting a friendlier face up front in the morning. I went to this McDonald's at lunch time on a Wednesday. It was steady, but not overrun. All the business was in the drive thru. I went inside to order. First thing I notice when I come in is a worker who is obviously not on the clock, is on break but standing at the counter talking to a manager. I could tell it was a manager in some capacity due to the uniform. This wasn't work related talk either. They're just standing there chatting. I was the only customer ordering and had to wait for these two to see me. Ok, no big deal. I get caught up talking sometimes too. The second thing I notice is someone who is picking up a to go order in regular clothes but obviously works there judging by the way she spoke to many of the crew members. She was yelling quite loudly the names of people in the back to get their attention so she could yell a question or whatnot to them. With her and the other man who seemed to be on break, this seemed very unprofessional. When I finally got to make my order, a simple one of two plain McChickens and a medium fry, I paid, took my bag and left. I got to my office, sat down to have my lunch. It wasn't anything amazing, but I knew what I was getting. I ate one sandwich and saved the other for later. When I did begin to the second one, it tasted funny and slimy. I checked under the bun and there was a ridiculous amount of mayonnaise! I mean, a huge, disgusting blob. I understand mistakes happen. I checked the receipts on the the food wrappers. The first one said McChicken plain, the second said MAYONNAISE ONLY! That blew my mind. I'm pretty sure if the MANAGER who was operating the register and taking my order wasn't also having a conversation with another employee who was not on the clock (not a work related conversation either) then both my sandwiches would have been correct.
